Summary: Kidou gets to try his hand at being a toreador
Warnings: Really cute shit

[Today, Kidou was dressed in his Teikoku school uniform, red cape and all. There wasn't a special reason why, he just wanted to wear it for the day. Apparently, though, that outfit was the wrong choice.

As he walked by a group of those little bullfairies, it seems that his red cape had caught their attention. Before he knew it, he had a group tailing after him, and the group only got larger.

Once he had noticed, he started walking faster, and faster, until he was at a jog. He... didn't know what these creatures were, or why they were suddenly entranced with him.... and he didn't want them following him.

Though, upon closer inspection, he noticed that they were bulls. Of course. They were attracted to his red cape! Maybe he could get rid of them...

He stops running and pulls the cape off his shoulders, holding it to the side and waiting. The bulls, as predicted, flew towards it, and once they were close, he lifts the cape out of the way as they fly behind him.]

Heh. [Kidou 1 Bullfairies 0]



[..........though once he had tied his cape back on and tried getting away, he ended up getting tackled(sort of) by the little bulls which resulted in him tripping over himself.

If you happened to be walking by or watching that little display, he was now covered in bulls in the middle of a hall, trying to get away without hurting them.



Someone help him before he embarrasses himself even more.]

[It took him this long? Look, you were lying in a pile of bullfaeries man, if you can't laugh at yourself for that then there's something seriously wrong.]

No problemo. [He stands back up and reaches out for Kidou.] Name's Beat.

[He takes Beat's hand and stands up himself.] It's a pleasure to meet you, Beat.

It's kind of funny, I've seen you around the Tower and yet this is our first time actually meeting.

[skullphones]

[Sorry, give him a moment to contemplate this observation. Finally, though--]

...Oh yeah! [Wow, how did he forget this kid? Kidou may be the only person in the Tower who dresses weirder than he does.] I remember you now, okay. Kidou. Got it.

[He looks down for a moment, checking Kidou up and down.] ...You a soccer player or something?

[pengeen]

I am, actually. Usually I play for Raimon Middle School's team, but recently I was chosen for Japan's representative team in a worldwide championship.

[skullphones]

[Aaaand that all goes right over his head. Whoop!]

Huh.

[He tilts his head.]

...Do you wear that cape onto the field?

[pengeen]

[He looks at his cape for a moment.]

Well not always this cape, it depends on which uniform I'm wearing.

[skullphones]

[He just stares at Kidou for a moment, trying to imagine what would happen if he wore a cape. Judging from the expression that passes over his face a moment later, it isn't anything good.]

Doesn't that, I dunno, get in the way?

[pengeen]

No, not really.

[skullphones]

Seriously?

...Wow, you're better than I thought.

[pegeen]

[He looks a bit surprised at Beat's reaction at first, but he soon stifles a laugh.]

I've just been used to wearing capes while playing, so they don't get in the way at all.

[skullphones]

Seems like a lot of extra work, but y'know, whatever. [He shrugs.] ...Man, I never got into any organized sports like that. Workin' with teammates was such a drag.

[pengeen]

Oh? [Sounds like a certain old man Kidou knew.......]

They're fun if you can get past your differences with your teammates.

[skullphones]

Eh, yeah, I got over it later. ...'A course, by that point any chances I had of joining the school team were shot to hell, but whatever. [He's smiling at the memory of it, but it seems that he's physically incapable of expressing any positive emotion without making it look at least a little bit menacing.]

[pengeen]

Eh? [He blinks a bit] Why couldn't you join your school's team?

[skullphones]

I gave up on all that when I was about twelve. Pitched off fer the streets of Tokyo, didn't die, and here I am.

[pengeen]

So you've been living by yourself this whole time?

[skullphones]

Of course not! [He actually laughs. Silly, silly Kidou.] I mean, no parents, obviously. I'm a rudie -- my gang is my family.

[pengeen]

Ah, I see. [A pause. No parents, huh?] What kind of gang are you in?

[skullphones]

[His parents are alive... they're a big, awkward deal, though, and he much prefers to just skim over that particular part of the story.] Well, we're called the GGs. Most of our thing is covering Tokyo in spray paint. [He smirks.] We've got turf wars and rival gangs and whatever, but no one buys in to that killing stuff, y'know? It's all graffiti. Gotta get in a battle, tag the other guy's back and you win. Much cleaner. Ain't no reason for anyone to get too hurt... plus, it's a pain in the ass to aim a gun when you're on skates.

[pegeen]

[Oh no he's from one of those scary gangs Kidou has heard about--] Is that so... [You're making him unsure all over Beat. He was friends with a former gang member, sure, but Tobitaka just beat people up.... adding "plus it's a pain in the ass to aim a gun when you're on skates" gives Kidou the feeling that your gang isn't against killing at all.....]

[skullphones]

Mmmhm. [He's basking in your unsure face, Kidou. You're dressed up like some kid who plays soccer in the streets all evening, but he knows the vibes coming from rich folk. He's run in with their sons and daughters plenty of times, and every single one hadn't quite passed their reality checks. Plus, if you look that scared after he's told you like a million times that they're not into killing, it's kind of hard not to think you came from the upper class. ...Let's find out!] How 'bout you, Kidou? Where'd you come from before dropping in here?

[pegeen]

[He crosses his arms.]

I lived in Japan with my father. And as you already know, I went to Raimon Middle School and I was part of the soccer club. And I was nearing the end of the Football Frontier International when I was brought here. [You're going to have to try harder if you want Kidou to tell you more about his personal life.]

[skullphones]

Japan? I never would have guessed. [Still, he doesn't move at all. The troll face gets bigger.] How're the cops like around you? Ever met one?

[pengeen]

[That gets a pause before he answers. Kind of suspicious...]

...I've met a few. There's a detective who is friends with my coach, so he helps us out when we need it.
