Trying to find relief

 Characters: Aelia and you
Setting: Floors 8, 10, 30, and 38
Format: prose, but will match you
Summary: Aelia trying to adjust by relaxing...and failing, and being lost for a whole day.
Warnings: fighting, possible gore maybe, and alcohol

Floor 8:

...How the hell did she get lost for an entire day? This was far too embarrassing, even for her. She had hoped things would have gotten easier with time, maybe even get information, but she knew of no one who knew how control the technology of those monitors. Maybe she should have asked Lenneth, but rather than bother the goddess, she decided on figuring things out for herself. With a grumbling stomach, it was clear one priority was also food.

And yet somehow, someway, she was in a maze, her eye flinching as she walked more and more through the maze. The areas Lenneth took her too were confusing as all hell, and even some jobs could be frustrating, but this was taking on another meaning of hell! Growling, her body shined, and replaced with a giant dragon...that was now stuck within the bushes. She loudly growled, trying to ease her way out as best as she could.

...Easier said than done.

And now somehow she ended up in the aquarium, one without glass. She ran her gloved hand through the water, eyes growing wider at what she saw. Never in her life she had never seen things such as this, so this was quite a surprise. Maybe if she had been sent to Asgard during the war against Surt, maybe she would not have been so amazed by other things in this tower. Not to say she didn't like fighting by Lenneth's side; with everything else, it was the best move, especially when defeating Gandar.

She took her hand out, turning her head just in time to see a shark jump through the waters. Eyes widened, her body immediately ducking and avoiding the rows of teeth that threatened her life. That...she did not expect to see. And here she thought only pretty fish were allowed to be in here.  Grabbing her spear, she got back up, eyeing the shark as it came back around, building up speed.

And then she smirked, licking her lips. "Lunch, come to Aelia!"

And then hell came right back to the poor woman, the steps suddenly giving way and forcing her onto this floor. She groaned, rubbing her rear. Of all the times to not wear enough armor for her backside to be a pain, it had to be now. At any rate, that was the least of her problems. The main issue were the groups of Neoshadows converging onto her, the darkness in their room making them hard to identify right now.

She quickly got up, grabbing her spear and facing down the creatures. Way too much for her to handle, and she grit her teeth. Of all the times, she really could use a light crystal right now...

Floor 38

Three floors of pure hell, and Aelia didn't care anymore. If she didn't see a bar, she would move onto the next one. Except when the stairs did stop, she collapsed on the final floor, falling onto her knees and giving a loud, frustrated sigh. All she wanted was some food and drink, information as well, and it was one hell after the next. Yes, she was used to enduring it, but she was hoping to avoid it all. And right now, her body desperately craved nourishment, the almighty liquor. Yes, some may disapprove, but by the gods, it was worth the stares.

And that's when she lifted her head, a wide grin slowly forming on her face, eyes sparkling with hope again. Beer, actual beer! No, a bar! Yes, different from what she saw, but it was a bar! Past or not, she knew what one looked like no matter what. Energy returned quickly after the thought, and she immediately sped to the counter, already looking over it for anyone to serve her.

"Anyone here!?" she shouted. Eyes flickered back to the mugs and liquor right behind the counter. All too tempting for her to take...

Not... that the beer was very good. At all. The vodka was better, and the mead about the best until they rolled out the wine that was still at the aging stage.

Reno had been off washing glasses when she wandered in, it was a pain having to go upstairs to the dorms every time.

"Sorry 'bout that. Gotta have clean glasware y'know." He grinned, coming from the stairs that led up.

A light crystal, probably not. But light was about to become a part of the equation as Aelia would suddenly find out that the Neoshadows' attacks met with an invisible and magical wall as they were about to hit her.

Before long, A flash of light exploded in the room, erasing on its way most of the shadows. The strongest one would soon be struck by waves of light emitted from an area behind Aelia. If Aelia was to turn around and look, she would see the source of the light A certain necromancer. he was now holding a ball of light in his hand to keep the monsters of the room at bay momentarily.

"My my, I didn't think to see an Einherjar put into trouble by such weak creatures..."

A small teenager clasping a notebook is also in the aquarium, gazing in wonder at the fish, her mouth slightly open. She's never seen such creatures before...

Um. That lady seems to be in danger - except not really, she's handling herself just fine, and there isn't really anything Platina can do to help right now, so she's just going to...look away. She's seen enough combat and death.

Hesitantly, Platina walks over to the other girl, writing a note as she does. Her head tilted slightly, she waits for Aelia to notice her - for after all, it is not her place to speak up.

When Aelia does notice her, however, the note Platina is holding up will read:

"If you do not mind my asking, are you a hunter, miss?"

Platina just nods at that, head tilting as she considers. Well, she is just a servant, when push comes to shove.

"Shall I carry the fish to the pantry for you, miss?"

She's still thinking in old terms, of course - by pantry, she means the kitchen in the cafeteria.
