[A pile had been made. Yes, a pile, of a random assortment of items. Anything from trinkets left behind to pieces of the Tower laying about. All of these things were brought to make this pile. Equius life is best life, of course.
[That's what it really ought to have been from the get-go. A moirail thing. But of course, there had been no moirail at the get-go, and it became just a 'him' thing; an Equius thing. True to form, as an Equius thing it never learned to sit down quietly as it was supposed to, and once again he became quite aware of how much he needed this girl. This girl who was... somehow still smiling. It didn't take much to figure out that it was by no means a happy smile, but... wow. Even in his mid-jam frenzy state of mind, Equius had to be a little bit impressed by that. She was still smiling. She still wanted to make him feel better, even after listening to him ramble like a crazy person (again with the insanity!) about how much of a fuck-up he was. That was dedication, right there. And if there was ever any doubt that he would extend the same dedication to her in her time of need, it was now gone.]
[Still, he had to ask the one question that he hated more than any other. It was always the first thing to pop up in his mind. Always.] ...How? [How was she going to approach Eridan? How was she-- oh god-- how was she going to approach Gamzee? Could she win against him in a fight? Equius had no idea. She couldn't rack up a wanton death count just because of him. And if she got Gamzee mad enough, then he would certainly be going after her more than once.]
[Wow, character relations sure are complicated. And now that he can think a little bit straighter, Equius is really beginning to regret he ever got into this mess in the first place. It's so much easier to... to go hide. Hide in a hole and get eaten by the WHALE and never, ever, ever come out.]
[Subconsciously, he dug himself deeper into the pile of miscellanea.]
Quality life right there
Don't worry about how. Just trust me when I say things will get better, ok?
[Reassurance! Dear god even she didn't seem completely sure of this. She has yet to meet either of these hemo-flopped trolls. She had no idea how they behaved or reacted, if they looked any different. Gah! Doesn't matter. She's going to fix things. Somehow.]
The whole Tower is so lucky for the great lives they lead.
[Wow, that was easy.]
[It's so much easier to actually believe it when he's talking to Nepeta, somehow. For anyone else that answer would not be acceptable and he'd continue to badger them about it, even in his state of hysterics. But Nepeta... no, just her word was enough. Because Nepeta never went back on her word. Not to mention, she was just so good at everything that it was obvious she could overcome this too. She'd topple both problems with ease, just like everything else.]
[He shuffles around in the pile, never taking his eyes off her.] ...Thanks.
