Setting: Infirmary and beyond!!
Format: Action is preferred
Summary: Genda finally revives after a sad and gruesome death.
Warnings: Mentions of death, mostly. Will add if there's more.

[Genda can hardly register the fact that he's awake, having never been told about the tower's non permanent death - and once he's able to move, he shoots up and hops right off the bed, despite being a little woozy.
... The infirmary. He had passed out, last he remembers... They probably found him and healed him up, huh? Not that he knows that's not the case; he's actually far from aware of his own death.
But that means - is Feferi okay...? She was covered in burns, and when the monsters picked her up, they --

No, he has to sit back down. He feels sick to his stomach, remembering it all. Now would probably be the best time to find him, though - he needs it!]

--Whoa, be careful!

[Even though the tower had been more or less defanged by this point, with the absence of both the monsters and the WHAAAAAALE, Equius was still spending his time helping in the infirmary. Cooking seemed like a waste of resources, and even if all he did was just clean some of the supplies and simple first aid when necessary, that was better than sitting around doing nothing.]

[But it seems this human is a bit too eager to get out of his bed. Equius watches, unsurprised, as Genda staggers and sits back down on his infirmary bed. Only once his eyes hav stopped crossing does Equius approach.]

...Are you alright?

[whatpenguin]

I don't... know.

I shouldn't be.

[... Yeah, he's not going to get up from this bed any time soon.]

I really shouldn't be.

[geometry]

Because... because you revived, right?

[Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be randomly lying in there.]

[whatpenguin]

... Is that what happened?

[Again, he remains uninformed.
But if that's what happened, then -]

Does that mean Feferi will be okay, as well?

[geometry]

Yes, you revive after death here. [This human must be new.] Normally you would wake up in your dormitory's respitecube, but since... well, that's not really possible, everyone is waking up here in the infirmary.

[...Feferi. What. Feferi got hurt? Feferi died?????]

S-she...

[Oh man. Oh god. Oh man.]

...she should be... yes...

[And now he's letting out the biggest sigh of relief and flopping back on the bed.]

Thank goodness. I've never had this sort of thing happen before, but knowing she'll be alright is all I need.

[... Oh - he probably seems a little rude.
He sits up again, fixing his jacket a bit, before giving Equius a smile and a little bow of his head in thanks.]

... Thank you.

You're welcome. But...

[Well, if Feferi already died as this human did, it was probably at least a few hours ago. There was nothing he could possibly do now. And if this human was a friend of hers, then he must have protected her, right? So... he just stands there for a moment, and then sighs. It's still horrible that an Empress, any Empress, had to fall prey, but...]

...never mind.

Are you still dizzy?

A bit. But I'll be fine.

[Never mind what, though...? You can't just do that to him, Genda's curiosity is terrible...]

... I don't want to seem rude, asking this because you happen to be a troll - but do you know Feferi too?
... You reacted weirdly when I mentioned her.

[But why - Feferi's such a sweet girl!]

Yes, I know Feferi.

[Awkward pause.]

I... I'm not pleased with the idea of having her die. [If you didn't protect her until the end, Genda, he will RAEG pretty hardcore at you.]

[pegeen]

[Kidou hasn't seen Genda in a while... a long while, since the whole catastrophe happened... and he was starting to get worried. He checked the Infirmary in case Genda was in there and yep; There he was, sitting on one of the beds.]

Genda! [He makes his way over, looking quite worried.] What happened?

[whatpenguin]

... Can I just chalk it up to a monster encounter?

[Whatever happened looks painful for him to remember, judging from his expression.]

[pegeen]

[That only makes him more worried]

..I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you.

[whatpenguin]

It's alright. There probably wasn't much you could do, anyway.
If I couldn't fight them, there's a slim chance you could.

[A pause]

No offense.

[pegeen]

None taken. Though, I'd figure I could have at least helped in some way... [He lets out a small sigh] Just when I didn't think things could get any worse...

[whatpenguin]

... Well. I'm alright now, and that's all that really matters, okay?
Now that I'm downstairs and not trapped up there, I'll be okay.
And I'll help you and your friends stay safe, too.

[And once she's awake, he's going to keep Feferi close by until everything's safe again.]

[pegeen]

Ah... you don't have to worry about me. Urotsuki is actually really good at fighting, so we'll be alright.

[whatpenguin]

... Urotsuki? [who]

[It's taken a bit longer to make sure Feferi's all right. But she's brought into the infirmary soon enough, laid into a bed two or three over frin. She isn't awake yet, though she's healed. There are no signs of the burn marks on her body, no evidence that her leg or her neck had been snapped.

She's still quiet for a while yet, sleeping fitfully before the sleep paralysis sets in. Once that terrifying moment is over, she sits up with a start and a cry, breathing heavily.]

[whatpenguin]

[He'd been laying back down per Equius's advice, of course - so while he didn't notice them bringing her in, he's not asleep.
Her cry gets him to snap up, though, almost on instinct, and sure enough - there she is, sitting up in a bed not too far away!

Genda's not the most graceful person, so trying to climb out of his bed while still covered in blankets ends up with him falling face first on the floor, though he springs back up onto his feet not a second later.
And he's going to clamber over to her too, hopping over one of the beds between them and throwing his arms around her when he makes it.

... Does he even need to truly say anything?]

[No, he doesn't. Feferi pulls him close, and she can't help crying a little. He's okay, he's here and this isn't a dream.]

Koujirou, you're - you're okay, I'm so glad, I was so scared. I love you, I do, I'm just - I - I didn't think I'd see you again, I didn't - I'm so glad you're all right, love.

[She quiets down after a moment, finding a place to rest her head between his neck and shoulder and listening to his heartbeat. She's still sniffling, but they aren't sad tears.]

[whatpenguin]

Shh - it's okay. I'm all right -- we're all right, and that's what matters now.

[He'll hold her as close as she needs then, one arm holding her tight and the other hand being used to brush a little hair from her face.]

Let's... never do something like that again, okay? I don't think I'd be able to do that a second time, I really don't.

... But I'm so glad you're all right. I was so worried - I woke up here, and you weren't around. I thought they had found me and resuscitated me, but you -

[No, he can't continue that sentence. He just shakes his head a bit.]

... I'm just so relieved you're okay.

[cullscuttlefish]

You're right. We're okay, and that's what matters. That's all that matters.

[She looks up when he brushes her hair off her face. It's then she realizes her goggles aren't on. Feferi can't say she minds, though. It just means they're a little closer.]

No. I - I don't ever want to go through anything like that again. During that moment where I was awake but I couldn't move, all I could think of was what might have happened to you, whether you would even be here, and I...

[She swallows hard, making a little glubbing noise as she does.]

I was so scared you wouldn't be, I'm so relieved you are, I...

[Feferi looks up, her eyes meeting his, and she blushes. It feels like she's moving through some kind of dream as her chin tilts up, her eyes close, and she lightly kisses him on the lips.

Maybe it's not an ideal situation for a first kiss, being in the infirmary like this. But for all her idealism, more often than not, she lets her heart lead, and her heart is telling her this is the right time.]

[whatpenguin]

[The kiss takes him by surprise - he's never been kissed before, like this - but he tries his hardest not to show it; just blinking once or twice, before... trying to return it.
He's hardly ever seen kisses in movies, so she'll have to be okay with a light, innocent little kiss in return.

But, the one good thing about his naivete in this, is he doesn't realize this is an awkward place for a first kiss -]

... I... love you, Feferi.
I really, really do.

[cullscuttlefish]

[She's more than okay with it. When she pulls back, there's a bright smile on her face. Her eyes still look a little dreamy, but not in a bad way; Feferi's clearly happy.]

I love you, too, Koujirou.

[Feferi's not going to get into the complicated mess that is troll romance. This is flushed on both sides, that much is clear, so why get into the rest?]

I love you so much.

[whatpenguin]

[Hopefully she doesn't mind him pulling her close once more - because at this point, he feels they both definitely need it.

After a moment, though, he does realize there's a bit of seriousness he needs to bring up;]

Now that we're here with everyone else, let's try not to get too far from the group, okay?

At least until we're sure everything's safe again.
