[open] fixing what was broken.
Characters: Sertoria Cani and you!
Setting: Infirmary, then leading to floor one.
Format: Prose, but I can match.
Summary: Sertoria revives after being a nuclear reactor for a bit. Her first thought is to fix Mr. Fusion for Doc.
Warnings: Small mention of death.
How long was she out for? She didn't know, but what she did remember was taking out a huge wave of monsters and then shutting off to protect her systems. A groan escaped her lips before her eyes opened and she looked around to see where she was.
System SPERO is online. Welcome back, CXEV50--
What more her program could say was interrupted as she placed her hand around her headset and turned it off. Sertoria rose from the station she was hooked up to and blinked. Okay, she was still in the tower. That was...good? At this point, she didn't know if being here was better than being at Quaeda.
... Okay, no. Quaeda was better, especially when she had Drusilla at her side. Or was it really with the constant threat of her creators wanting to deactivate and terminate her completely?
The more she thought about it, the more confusing things gotten and her brow furled in confusion. Quaeda or the Tower? Tower or Quaeda? Oh, forget it! She got back up on her feet and looked around in thought. Right, she promised to fix Mr. Fusion for the Doc since it was her fault that it was inoperable.
She knew the basics of the device, but not the intimate details. Hm, well, it shouldn't be that hard in the first place. So, as she gathered up what usable items she could find, she wandered into the cafeteria and made herself a nice little workstation in a corner of the large area and began to work on the device.
She didn't need to eat, since she would only be wasting the food that was provided. So, instead she opted to hum a soft tune as she worked. At least she was still useful and not a bucket of bolts.

Grabbing the two vials, one was testosterone the other morphine, he grabbed the hypodermic needle and punctured the bottle. He took a precise amount each time. The morphine kept him from not only feeling pain, it kept him from losing his temper. It was the same amount every time and never going over or under that amount.
He lifted the sleeve of his jacket, his left fist clinched tightly as he wrapped the rubber tubing around his arm, the needle punctured the skin as he had been doing this for years. He had been self administering his injections since he was 7. This wasn't anything new.
He showed no outward signs of an addict. It appeared as if it were just as normal as anyone that's been used to needles. Next came the hormone. Of course he used a different needle to avoid contamination. The same routine applied to the second injection.
With the tubing now released, he held the two needles in his hands as they vanished into nothing. He looked over his shoulder at Sertoria. "Are you damaged?"

So, when she saw Elian, she could feel vague pings of relief wash over her as she walked over to where Elian was.
"I was, but it has become apparent that I have been fixed," came her reply. "Although, I am not sure I can say the same for this." She held up Mr. Fusion in its' damaged state. She was still willing to repair it for Doc, though.
no subject
"What is it?" Of course the words, Mr. Fusion was written clearly on the housing, he wasn't quite sure what to make of that when it looked like a household appliance.
"It looks like a blender."

Then, she paused and shook her head. Right, now came the not so fun part of explaining why the device was in shambles.
"The reason it is in the state it is now is because I connected it to my own energy source, which is cold fusion, to help eliminate a large swarm of enemies on the fifth floor. I do not recall seeing the floor being repaired in any way after that."
No one said she had terrific intentions all the time.

His voice didn't raise at all. He was focused and in control, yet verbally he was showing signs of sudden relaxation and a lack of decorum that he would have exhibited normally.
no subject
Though, the fact that she was here standing and talking to Elian surely had to mean something.
"However, I have offered to repair this device for him in the meantime should it have broken."
no subject
He knew a few types back home that would do such things in an instant. It's really difficult to ignore something like that. "Is it contained? Meaning, are there any leaks? I won't step anywhere near you until I have an answer."
no subject
She checked to see if there were anything leaking with her visor before bringing the device up. "Affirmative. Everything is contained. Repairs will be done as soon as possible."

Though she pauses when she spots someone in the corner, and curiosity prompts her to approach them, especially when she recognizes who it is. "Ah, it's you!"
no subject
"Hello. You must be the one who repaired me during the invasion. Please, have a seat."
no subject
"Yeah, that's me... I'm April, by the way."
no subject
Though, really, was it the time to do so when others needed her help? In her mind, not really.
no subject
And then she tilts her head slightly, blinking at the device. "... What are you working on?"
no subject
"A nuclear energy reactor. It was damaged during the event, so I am offering to fix it for the owner that lent it to me."
no subject
That's when he spotted Sertoria working in her corner. He walked to her with a smile of, surprise?
"You survived!"
Note, that's good. He just hadn't had that high hope after Yu dragged him away.
no subject
"I have. It appears that your experiment has succeeded, Doc."
That was said with a hint of warmth in her otherwise cold and mechanical voice.
no subject
"That's a miracle that you were left unharmed!"
He looked at Mr. Fusion- Wasted. Bah, that's okay, it was replaceable at least.
no subject
"I suffered some damage, but it is apparent that I was repaired or else, I would not be able to move. I have begun repairs on your reactor, though."
Work, work, work - at least it kept her busy.
no subject
He shook his head though, she's just back she's no need to waste her time on Mr. Fusion.
"Never mind this, I will get at repairing it once they'll have repaired the workshop! It's where my lab is, but looking at the situation I believe I may listen to Marty's advise and move it to the 38th Floor!"
no subject
Then, at the mention of his lab and the workshop, it made her tilt her head and think about what she could do to help out.
"I do not mind repairing it as it was my fault it was damaged during the attack and I will help you move your laboratory to the thirty-eighth floor once it is restored."
no subject
She was stubborn. Alright, so was he so he went and grabbed Mr. Fusion.
"I said it's fine, you've just had a near-death experience if what i heard is true, you should be relaxing and not working on a doomsday device right now!"
no subject
It took her some time to piece together the meaning of his words and why he was so adamant that he would be the one to fix it after all of this, so when she did, she said:
"Is the reason you are arguing over who should fix the device is due to the fact that I am still human in your eyes?"
Look who didn't forget your words, Doc.
