[a) on floors that do not limit powers, you may find you're suddenly being watched. There may be a strange girl there when she wasn't there seconds before, or several pairs of blinking cat eyes watching you from the shadows, accompanied by faint meows.

b) on floors that limit powers, there will be Bern wandering around, skulking in the shadows when she can, picking up or examining any objects near her.]

This boy doesn't know magic. [A particular little gray kitty, the owner of the initial pair of eyes, steps out and walks towards Haruhi.]

'Magic', huh.

[She had initially thought that it was some sort of futuristic science stuff, but guess she was wrong. Haruhi then darts over to the gray kitty, bending down to talk face-to-face.]

Then do you know magic?

[wittlich]

[The cat does nothing but sit there and blink at Haruhi, trying to get her to pet him.]

Of course I do.

[Haruhi almost freaks out. In fact, if she were sitting down, she would have fallen out of her chair by now. Which isn't really all that great.]

Really? Then... you don't mind if I asked you to show me, right?

You require proof?

[extraordinarily]

That's right.

[Her voice is quite serious as she nods.]

[wittlich]

[Hmmmm. This girl's an interesting one. With a small giggle, a doll appears at Haruhi's feet. It looks exactly like her, down to the clothes she's wearing.]

[extraordinarily]

[Haruhi's eyes widen in surprise as she picks up the doll, playing around with it a little.]

Hmm... that's pretty neat!

[wittlich]

Is it enough evidence for you?

[extraordinarily]

It totally is!

[Haruhi nods enthusiastically as her eyes practically glisten.]

Wonderful, then. [she laughs, but it has a slightly malicious tone...]
