Characters: Gimli and YOU
Setting: (Wrecked) Workshop floor.
Format: Starting with action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Gimli's doing some scavenging to pass the time. Dwarf jokes with be met with a Dwarf axe.
Warnings: None to begin with, except maybe cranky Dwarf, but by now that's a given.
[The place is in shambles. He's not used to destruction being so thorough, so... careful. Except for when he went home, much like Gandalf did, but that was besides the point. Gimli looks around, wondering if anything about this will be salvageable or useful somehow. But, he supposes, someone ought to investigate.
So should your character venture anywhere near the workshop, you'll find a dwarf rummaging around the debris, poking at this or that, and maybe trying to organize the remains.]

Today, she comes down the steps to the workshop and just...stops, staring dully at the mess. She'd never spent much time here herself, but it was a room she frequently passed through, and to see the normally pristine place full of useful things reduced to so much...nothing is disheartening.
It's a few seconds before she spots Gimli shifting through what's left, and a few seconds more before Tara finds her voice.]
Um...d-do you need help?

All help is appreciated, my girl, but I am not sure I'd feel good making a woman dig in place of a dwarf. Why don't you lend me your eyes, instead?

The slightly odd realization that she's talking to a dwarf, coupled with her own mental exhaustion, makes her nod instead.]
W-What do you need them for? I mean, um, are you looking for something in particular?

[He doubts it, but a stuttering woman is not a woman you coddle. Not in Gimli's world-view. You don't acknowledge potential weakness, you turn it into strength instead. So he'll give her something to do and feel useful doing, and maybe she'll relax a little and stop stuttering about... Hopefully. He just wants to help, really.]

O-Oh. [It seems so obvious, pointed out like that, and she turn away to hide her embarrassment and also to scan the room. At first glance, there isn't much - splintered wood, smashed up glass - but, then, she does a double take, and points.] Hammer! There's a hammer. And, um, s-something else. Some kind of...clamp?

[Gimli nods, grateful and moves around to where she's pointing.]
Ah, you've very good eyes, girl. With your help, I reckon I'll be done quickly enough.
[He goes about digging out the tools she's pointing at, shuffling some of the debris around.]
