Characters: Gimli and YOU
Setting: (Wrecked) Workshop floor.
Format: Starting with action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Gimli's doing some scavenging to pass the time. Dwarf jokes with be met with a Dwarf axe.
Warnings: None to begin with, except maybe cranky Dwarf, but by now that's a given.
[The place is in shambles. He's not used to destruction being so thorough, so... careful. Except for when he went home, much like Gandalf did, but that was besides the point. Gimli looks around, wondering if anything about this will be salvageable or useful somehow. But, he supposes, someone ought to investigate.
So should your character venture anywhere near the workshop, you'll find a dwarf rummaging around the debris, poking at this or that, and maybe trying to organize the remains.]

[So that was how a very obviously mechanical girl came to be rummaging through the wreckage as well. Occasionally she'd stop to regard something with interest and set it aside, or take a moment to move heavier bits of debris in her way without much effort.]

[Gimli is in a... moderately good humor. He's not happy, by all means, but only a fool takes out his anger on innocents. Besides, he is impressed by her progress. Her strength might very well rival his, and if there's one thing might impress dwarves, is strength.]

The whole place is lookin' like one heck of a mess. Guess I had some pretty bad timin'.
no subject
[Gimli offers a short, not very amused laugh.]
Your timing, I'm afraid, had nothing to do with this, lass. The bad timing is all theirs, all the time.

...I've been hearin' a lot of awful stuff 'bout this place.

Oh, that's the Dwarf who went with them to the control room. Ganon died before him, but he was fairly certain Gimli died in the seconds that followed. He smirked to the dwarf when he passed. ]
Oh, so you survived the recent attack.
no subject
So did you, though I resent the surprised tone at that.

[ Neutral is good, they could be great buddy. Maybe.
No.]no subject
[Keeeeeeping it neutral for the time being. You have no idea how hard that is, given his usual temper.]
I was rather preoccupied at the moment, to worry about much other than trying not to die, I'm afraid.

It's not like we had a lot of time to react after all... Gimli? It is your name I believe, right?

Come on...gotta be something around here...

[Gimli emerged from a pile of debris, looking... in a better humor than one might expect.]

Yeah. A big piece of wood. I need to make a staff for a friend, but I don't think a pipe's gonna work for that. [siiigh] I just can't find any wood. Must have turned into splinters or something...
no subject
[Gimli frowns.]
Haven't seen much that isn't splinters yet. But I haven't dug out everything yet. I'll help you look, lad, if you want.
no subject
[He really does, turning a grin in Gimli's direction. He's always grateful for help.]
There anything you're looking for? Two sets of eyes are better than one.

But for the most part he had been wandering, wondering if there was anything they could do to help fix things. Romeo didn't know how to fix things this big. Everything was all wrecked and he didn't know where to start.
He saw the dwarf in the worksop and watched him quietly for a moment, he had met lots of different people in the tower but an adult who wasn't that much bigger than him...]
no subject
Well. That's one way of doing it, I suppose.

[He offers Romeo a light laugh.]
Just handling stubborn things, is all.

Today, she comes down the steps to the workshop and just...stops, staring dully at the mess. She'd never spent much time here herself, but it was a room she frequently passed through, and to see the normally pristine place full of useful things reduced to so much...nothing is disheartening.
It's a few seconds before she spots Gimli shifting through what's left, and a few seconds more before Tara finds her voice.]
Um...d-do you need help?
no subject
All help is appreciated, my girl, but I am not sure I'd feel good making a woman dig in place of a dwarf. Why don't you lend me your eyes, instead?
no subject
The slightly odd realization that she's talking to a dwarf, coupled with her own mental exhaustion, makes her nod instead.]
W-What do you need them for? I mean, um, are you looking for something in particular?
no subject
[He doubts it, but a stuttering woman is not a woman you coddle. Not in Gimli's world-view. You don't acknowledge potential weakness, you turn it into strength instead. So he'll give her something to do and feel useful doing, and maybe she'll relax a little and stop stuttering about... Hopefully. He just wants to help, really.]
no subject
O-Oh. [It seems so obvious, pointed out like that, and she turn away to hide her embarrassment and also to scan the room. At first glance, there isn't much - splintered wood, smashed up glass - but, then, she does a double take, and points.] Hammer! There's a hammer. And, um, s-something else. Some kind of...clamp?
