[OPEN] I walk out in the flowers and feel better~
Characters: Amalia & yours~
Setting: Floor 25 (Meadow)
Time: Any
Format: No preference
Summary: Sadida princess feels it's her responsibility to make things green again! How well she fares, that's still up for debate. Come bother her and make sure she doesn't pass out or anything from over-exerting her powers?
Warnings: Probably none.
This wasn't the first time Amalia had tentatively ventured up the staircase to the Tower's levels that had been ruined in the whale monster's attack, but she'd never ventured off the steps and onto the floors themselves.
Yet today was different and now she was standing in the torn up dirt that had once been a lush meadow. She knelt into the soil and carefully brushed some of the debris away from what might have been a clover patch before. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner," she said quietly to the crumpled plants. "I was scared, but that's not an excuse. I still... have a lot to learn."
She pressed her hands flat into the dirt, closed her eyes and concentrated. Ripples of green light spread out from her in a circles and after a few moments, there began to be stirrings of new roots beneath the soil with a few tender green shoots tentatively raising into view. When she opened her eyes again, there was a radius of about 15 feet that was starting to grow again, like a young spring just recovering from a harsh winter. It was a long way from the lushness it had been, but now it could start growing back on its own.
Amalia looked at the rest of the ruined meadow, then down at the little patch she'd just created. She still had a lot of work to do.

"If I were the plants here, I would be glad to have a friend like you. I think that's what they would say if they can speak." He looked to Amalia in thought. "I would also say that you should rest. You can't help them if you're too tired. Everything will be okay."
He knew that life had a way of finding their path to survive. It was the law of the land where he came from and it shouldn't be too different here. "Just knowing you care is all they need."
The stifling and stagnant air soon gave way to a breeze that Elian created as he stood up and lifted his hands into the air. "They need us as much as we need them."

"You're not wasting time if you have to rest." He stood up and took his own water bottle and gave it to the plants that needed it more than he did. It was this small sacrifice that he was willing to make to sustain them just a little longer while she recovered.
He got onto his hands and knees and helped to replant the uprooted ones in hopes that he was doing something to help. He did this without any prompting.

"Thank you Elian," she said. "I'm glad... that you're looking out for me."
no subject
"You're welcome. I...just thought you needed it." What could he say? He had no idea at this point if this was normal or not, but work was work. He focused on the replanting and stealing a glance once in a while toward her direction.

He looked toward Amalia and his chest puffed with his shoulders squared. He appeared very stiff in a military like fashion. Seeing anyone hurt wasn't something that he liked to see, and yet he learned early on that sometimes it was inevitable in order to grow. He started to question himself internally what his own purpose was.
He couldn't forget what he saw. He can forget what he hears. Words didn't mean much to him when actions spoke much louder to him. He wanted to hold her, he raised his hand then stopped himself to return his attention back to the plants with a release of his breath that relaxed his shoulders. He thought that she had plenty of people to look after her, so why would he make a declaration when it would probably be forgotten in a day or two.

"You're a good friend too, Elian. This place doesn't seem like it will have such a scary outlook."

He nodded his head in response with a small smile. "Thank you. I never had any friends before outside of those I worked with. I didn't really have the time."
Now he had the time and yet he found himself falling into old habits. Maybe one day he can finally shed his sense of duty and be free. It was too difficult right now to ignore with so much work to do.
His hands continued to work in saving the plants. They meant so much to Amalia and he didn't want to see her upset again.

There were a few plants that seemed as interested in Elian as he was in them. Energized by Amalia's touch, a few sprouts started hopping around in a very un-plantlike way.

The moment he was put in a coma, everything went down and they became exposed. Elian was the best kept secret and his true power and abilities have yet to be revealed.
He looked to the dancing plants and nearly fell onto his back. Urizane could do something similar but he didn't have the power to make them independent like this. He let out a giggle that was very brief from the startled response. He looked to Amalia, his eyes appeared to have new life in them. "I...guess I didn't know how."
no subject
"I know it's a bit silly, but I've always made better friends with plants than with people," she admitted. "The flowers and trees... they never cared who I was."
no subject
"It's not silly." He moved to crawl on his hands and knees slowly to take a closer look at the dancing, happy plants. "It's wonderful that you can do this."

But she broke off, because she realized that her train of thought could be considered rude. After all, she didn't know what kind of life he'd come from.

There was also the fact that the people from his world didn't exactly like Alter users even if they were working for the government. Carefully, he lowered his right hand with the palm open for the dancing flowers to inspect. "I'm happy."
What he didn't say, which was something that he wanted to say, he was much happier now that he had met her.

The flowers all crowded around Elian's hand, poking his fingers and trying to climb over them like it was a huge jungle gym. Amalia was sprinkling water on a few other plants who'd revived themselves from the trampled ground and were now cleaning themselves as though they were showering.

His eyes looked up at the other plants that were bathing. Elian blinked for a moment then looked at Amalia with wonder. "How do you do this?"

"Hm, you might be right. Does your power come from the tree?"

He leaned forward again with his head supported by his hands, his feet kicking behind him slowly. "I would like to be there to hear the story myself, but I have to go back to my world to tell it."
