Summary: And then, just like that, the tower had another disgruntled magical girl.

[Room 02-13]
[Kyoko wasn't entirely sure what she'd expected following her death. In truth, she'd been been more concerned with taking care of Sayaka at present than whatever consequences would follow.

Her expectations had apparently been set high enough, however, as the momentary paralysis and the letters explaining the situation proved to be nothing but a disappointment. She found herself skimming the letter detailing both the destruction of her world and her apparent salvation without much interest before, rolling her eyes and making a noise of dissent, crumpling up and tossing it somewhere off to the side.

She wasn't the one who had needed saving.]

[Cafeteria]
[It wasn't something that would normally find it's way into her diet and it was certainly questionable given the current striation, but Kyoko's never been one to turn down free food and this was no exception. So it was without any complaint that she was currently working away at the bowl of oatmeal in front of her It was bland, but it was still food. Besides, questionable as the entire situation might have been, it was still pretty far from claiming the title of the worst thing she's ever eaten.]

[He trails off, then shakes his head and leaves it there]

Dax's pod was normal, though. He just asked us to do things, and he made it as comfortable as he could within the rules of the 'game' they were playing.

Got a couple of idiots trying to force 'em down on their knees and the other trying to kill 'em with kindness, eh? Sounds like ya a real group of winners running this place. Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't be happy to be here.

[The way he trailed off wasn't lost on her, however, so she adds,]

But y'know, ya don't have to tell me anything ya don't want to. Cause I'm stuck here with the rest of ya now, so I'm sure I'll figure it out for myself sooner or later.

[Kyoko he sort of likes your style. The dry wit is not lost on him]

Well I don't think I'll go into detail on that one, but you deserve to know what you're getting into.

Then again, even if you think you're ready, they always manage to do something here that throws you for a loop. I've seen this place come close to breaking people I never thought would even bend.

It's not that hard to break a person, strong or not, y'know. Ya just gotta know how to do it.

[There's an edge of bitterness in her voice.]

Nah, I knew how to live the good life. It's just I had to deal with a lot of idiots who were too stupid do the same.

The good life, huh? I'm a little jealous. It must have been good if you can come out and say that without even thinking about it.

It's not that hard, y'know. All ya gotta do is just live for yourself.

[He smiles at her as he talks, feeling comfortable enough to joke around a bit]

But what about family honor? I could dishonor my entire clan like that!

[She frowns at first, though it is quickly replaced by a grin as the processes the joke.]

If they're gonna get in your way ya can just kill them. Cause then ya can tell people about how ya had no choice, y'know? You'll be a hundred times cooler with that sort of tragic backstory under your belt.

[It's all he can do to not crack up]

I can see it now! The ladies flocking to me thanks to my tragic backstory, all trying to fix the poor broken boy with the power of their love!

[prayed]

'Course the only one that'll catch your attention will be like, some really dumb, plain girl. Y'know, some idiot for you to run around saving all the time.

Yeah... that would get old after a while, huh? I mean there's wanting to protect someone, and then there's having to save someone because they get kidnapped every other Tuesday.

It's not bad, having this kind of stupid conversation every once in awhile.] Well, I don't really care, but at least make sure they weren't born on the moon or something. ['Some old hag's boy toy' makes him immediately think of Kashiwagi, and he shivers, looking disgusted]

No. No no no! Never gonna happen! I'll die before I surrender my pride like that!

[prayed]

[She's chuckles. That was a pretty violent reaction there, which can only mean...]

I really hope not, but back home we had this one teacher, Kashiwagi. She was just...

[He shakes his head, fighting the urge to vomit]

There was a beauty pageant for the student body, and she entered it. That's the kind of teacher she was.

[prayed]

[Okay, she's laughing now. And she'd apologize for it, but no.]

I bet she put on a show that no one will never forget. [She leans in closer.] So, ya gotta tell me, what's it like, having to see your teacher in a bikini?

[His voice is quiet]

[Laughing even harder now. You're turning out to be pretty okay, Yosuke.]

Sounds pretty scary. Guess I should be glad I stopped going to school when I did, can't imagine what could've happened if I'd stayed at a dangerous place like that.

Oh, it's pretty easy to imagine.

Just think - some creepy balding guy, leering at you - you can just see him undressing you with his eyes, licking his lips... I mean, you are cute.
