04 | if I feel God judging me

Setting: Floor 13, floor 18, and floor 25.
Format: Starting with action brackets, will match anything.
Summary: Aleph engages in petty vandalism, studies magic, and picks flowers.
Warnings: None.

Floor 13: [The stained glass windows are largely intact, and the church seems as austere as it has ever been. Aleph sits silently in one of the pews, tossing a rock up and down with one hand.

Without warning, he throws the rock at one of the windows. It breaks, and the sound of shattering glass is just as quiet as anything else is on this floor. He waits for a moment.]

Nothing, huh.

Floor 18: [Aleph is intently studying the open book in front of him. Next to him there is a small stack of books, all about magic. From time to time he picks a line to read aloud, always in some arcane language he has trouble pronouncing. Nothing ever seems to happen when he does so, however, and he seems a little frustrated.]

Floor 25: [Aleph has his visor off for once, and is picking dandelions and trying to make a crown out of them.

After some failed attempts, he has succeeded. Satisfied, he puts the crown around his head and searches the meadow for a lake or a mirror. If your character stands still long enough, he'll ask:] You don't happen to have a mirror on you, do you?

Floor 25

[technologic]

[And while Aleph makes the crowns, one Bullfairy will be watching him from nearby before waddling over. And it's appearance is quite different from other Bullfairies in the tower, since it has metal supports on it's legs to allow it to walk without much trouble.

Once it gets close enough, it'll peer up at Aleph with a quiet chirp.]

Hey. You look like somebody's been paying attention to you, little guy.

[technologic]

[The Bullfairy gives another chirp, this one sounding a bit cheerful, as it waves one of it's legs slightly before sitting down next to him. It blinks up at him, and then at the crown in his hands.]

[alephbet]

No, you can't eat it. I know it must look tasty, but this is for me. ...Actually, I'm not sure what you eat.

[technologic]

[The Bullfairy moves to munch on some of the grass, though it avoids some of the flowers. Instead it seems more curious about how he makes the crowns.]

Floor 13

[Bad move, bro. Jeanne had been making her way down to the cathedral, where she prays every day like the good religious girl that she is. It just so happens that the moment she steps out onto that floor is the same moment when Aleph chucks the rock through the window.]

J-Just what do you think you're doing!?

...Throwing a rock through a generic church's window.

[Stating the obvious.]

This is a place of worship! You cannot simply vandalize it like that!

Floor 25

[derping]

[Sora had been watching for a few minutes, so he isn't all that surprised when he's finally asked a question - after all, he wasn't really trying all that hard to not be noticed. In fact, he was curious about what the other boy was doing.]

Um, sorry. [He checks his pockets one more time for good measure, even though he's sure that they're empty save for a Potion.] Can't say that I do.

[Though he thinks about it just to be sure, he doesn't know where to find one, either.]

What are you doing, anyway?

Making flower crowns. [He pulls the one off his head and examines it again.] I don't live in a place with a lot of flowers naturally, so I haven't gotten the opportunity to do this before.

[derping]

Wow, really?

[Though, actually, Sora probably doesn't have any right to be shocked, since his world doesn't really have a place like this, either.]

Guess I can't say anything, though. My world has lots of flowers, but they aren't really like these.

It's nice to be able to appreciate the new experiences, even if it's just new flowers.

Merely because He can not see it doesn't mean there isn't satisfaction. Or that it can't aid us.

I've never really been one for vandalism. Even of churches. It seems disrespectful to the architect, but I don't think that's a problem here.

Floor 13

Hey man, what'd that glass ever do to you? It had a life and a family and a bunch of little windows to take care of. Widowed though. Now those little windows are orphaned.

[Hi Jade's just gonna chill in the pews with her feet up and watch despite your apparently capital offense.]

[Aleph doesn't seem too upset.]

A sad, sad, thing. [She shook her head gravely, though when she stopped, there was the subtle hints of a grin on her face.]

What's got you all up in a tizzy over stained glass windows?

Me and God really aren't on speaking terms.

[...Tara slowly lowers her hands from where they'd flown to her mouth at the sight of Aleph flinging a rock towards the windows.

Actually, now that the shock has passed, she feels a little embarrassed. Of course it wouldn't be that easy.]

W-Wow...

It's just a window, isn't it?

Well, um, y-yeah. But it's a nice window. S-Stained glass.

...kind of thought it'd at least work, though.
