[001] intro post; open!

Characters: Axel and anyooooooneeee /ghost noises
Setting: Dorm room hallways.
Format: Whatever you want!
Summary: Axel's just ditched his dorm room and is trying to look like he knows where he's going wandering around the hallways, looking for some info.
Warnings: Possible mild cursing?

Confusion and panic tend to go hand in hand, but Axel's not going to let that be the case for him.

After stuffing the letters he'd found in one pocket of his cloak, Axel had been quick to get out of the room he'd woken up in. He'd taken note of the number on the door on his way out, so that he could be sure of where he needed to head back to- afterall, that trunk seemed to have his stuff in it, among a few other things- and then gotten to searching up and down the halls for a familiar face, or better yet, someone who looked like they were in a position of authority.

And that's where he still is now, getting increasingly impatient and frustrated with himself for not actually knowing what the hell else to do.

Still, no need to stress. There had to be someone around with enough of a brain to answer his questions.

Just a matter of finding them.

[Francis was coming back from a rousing run in the forest, all thanks to a rabbit that had decided he looked fun to nibble on. Easy to suffice, he looked a little tighter around the lips than usual. He'd obviously gotten away unscathed, luck on his side, but he'd forgotten his lighter in his room and he desperately needed a smoke.

Now, he didn't mind walking, but his room was toward the back of the first floor of dormitories near the staircase. He rarely saw the thing in use and reasoned that the Tower simply hadn't snatched enough to fill it as they'd done the first. However, when he saw a cloaked figure meandering down...

Suffice to say he was a bit shocked, exclaiming in hushed French:]
My God. Your hair!

[Snaps out of it, because there's more than the shock of red hair deterring the boy from appearing like a wholesome child. Francis thought he looked like a literal matchstick, actually. Back to English (lazy mun is lazy) now, offered a subtle smile] Hello there. New, I take it? [He looked kind of agitated, his new matchstick friend...]

;)

[Getting a better look at the boy--slightly intimidating? Is that what that was? 'kay!--He can't help but think he looks like one of England's children back in the wild days of punk. Looking down he was surprised to not see platforms.

Undeterred, Francis snorted and shook his head.]

Mm, I do not know. It's difficult to leave for good. [head tilt]

Not without dying and even that's not a cure-all. Oh, a few have been released to the wreckage of their homes but they come back in shambles.

NO YOU.

[identity profile] creme-master.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Francis grows on you. He's just a bit morbid thanks to that rabbit. It was SCARY, okay?
Shifting his weight he grinned, reaching in his pockets to take out a cigarette. Ignore his oral fixation.]

Ah, I suppose in a normal universe that applies. You do not stay dead here.

[brow quirk, reaches up to touch his own cheek below the eye, giving his matchstick a mildly curious look] You did not happen to get those tattoos in prison for killing people, did you?

Just curious.

[Did someone ask for brains?

In the hallways, Axel would find that there were several computer terminals scattered throughout. Upon one of them, he could find a girl.

She was casually typing away, one elbow propped against the table and cupping her cheek, a casual hum escaping her lips.]

[identity profile] salamancer.livejournal.com 2011-08-25 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[She turns in her seat to look at the older man, a slight quirk of the brow shortly following.]

You're new here, I'm surmising?

[She turns back to the computer and opens up a page (http://animus-network.livejournal.com/12756.html), scooting aside so Axel has a clear view.]

This will help answer your initial questions.

[identity profile] salamancer.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
None. And trust me, we have tried.

[She tried to blast a hole in the wall and destroyed everything but the wall.]

I'm pretty sure I am contractually obligated to post here

Down b good ol' dorm room 1-16 was what might be a sight for sore eyes. But, the blonde seemed to be intensely staring at the room door for whatever reason, hand on the knob but hesitating completely. Every time he went in his room, he had to wax paranoid about if Eiji was going to be on the other side. Which made him feel silly...this situation was dragging on far too long, in his opinion. His reactions were usually fight, not flight, but something about the tower just put him ill at ease.

A cursory glance down either end of the hallway apparently did nothing for his already-shot nerves. Rox's jaw went slack, eyes wide when he spotted that goddamn cloak, flinging the door open wide and rushing in the room. The slam of the door closing echoed through the hall, and he pressed his back against the door, as if it'd actually help him keep from having to deal with this. First that Naminé girl, now this?

Maybe the cloaked guy hadn't heard or seen him at all. Futile hope, but a last-ditch effort to keep from a total freakout.
lamentless: (slight concernfayc)

Wait, really? Why didn't I get any then? :c

Damnit. Damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit. ...damnit.

At the very least his room seemed to be empty, or there would be an even worse scenario he'd be facing. If that was possible. He kept his back braced against the door, as if he was waiting for the guy to try and fight the door open any second. Why did he feel so amped up with this guy?

"Go away!" It didn't sound as commanding as he would have liked, and Roxas puffed a loud breath of air, trying again. "I don't know you!"

But that familiar twisting in his guts...Naminé had said he might be missing some memories. "Or, I...don't think I do." He relaxed against the door, turning around and opening it a crack to peer out at the redhead. He was more than ready to slam it shut, and looked just about as tense as someone can when viewed through a cracked door.

"You're...Axel, right?"

lamentless: (sigh thinking unamused sleepy woo)

I thought he got promoted last week?

Roxas stepped back from the door, opening it after a moment. He was trying very hard not to fidget, but it wasn't exactly working out right. However, he did give in to his own snarky bitterness, glancing back at the door. "...waking up in a tower with a bunch of violent people isn't exactly the best time to go around and being friendly." More to himself than to Axel, but it was a pretty satisfying grump to get out of his system.

"I don't know if I remember so much as..." Was he really going to talk to this guy? Ugh, whatever. Part of him wanted to, so he might as well vaguely explain the situation. "Someone told me I'm missing some memories. That's true, right?" Rox might have sounded the slightest bit needy there, but confirmation was all he was running on these days.

Naminé had spent a large chunk of her time going all the way downstairs to the dining hall and aaaall of the way back up. By that point, her legs were burning; never in her life had she been forced or even able to participate in so much physical activity. Still, she made no complaint, internal or otherwise, for, in all honesty, it was actually rather exhilerating to finally be able to to stretch her legs, and to walk out the door without anyone there to pull her back, or to tell her she couldn't do as she pleased. So by the time she reached the hallway off of which her room was situated, she was moving a bit more slowly than usual.

That was probably why it took her until she'd reached her door and already had her hand on the knob, about to turn, when she saw a black shape out of the corner of her eye. Instantly she froze, every muscle tight and on edge. No. No. No, no, she couldn't assume, she had to look, had to make sure. Slowly, wide-eyed, she turned to see... Axel?

Welcome baaaack. c:

The blonde girl slowly released her hold on the doorknob. Axel was definitely one of the better faces to see when it came to members of the Organization. He'd been pretty good to her, and that smile was marginally comforting... but she was well aware of his previous manipulations. She was also well aware that she owed him her trust, and, despite the fact that she'd never been totally comfortable around him, she actually rather liked him. He was good to his friends, after all, in his own way. It was just a matter of who that applied to.

What was startling, though, was the fact that he was there at all. She knew he'd died back there, saving Sora, before any of the business with the (supposed) destruction of the world(s). The fact that he'd said 'another familiar face' not lost on her, but that was something for later. "Axel...!" It wasn't that she wasn't happy to see him alive, but her brow knit. "How did you--?" Get here. Probably the same way she did, so the question instead meant 'how did you not die before'. Sure, he'd faked his death before, but not nearly so convincingly.

Man I wrote that contract

Ven was tired. Which was weird because he was pretty sure he had been sleeping normally. The point was, he was yawning, and walking around the dorm hallways with his hands in his pockets, looking a bit worse for wear and not his usually derpy happy self. Which wasn't to say he was sad he was just, well. Kind of tired.

Not tired enough to not notice the blazing red head of hair down the hallway. It stood out pretty well. But apparently tired enough to not recognize who it was at first glance. It didn't help that it had been oh, about ten years. "Whoah. Cool hair." Your brains are in another skull, sadly.

The peanut addendum was my idea BD

Ven looked at the redhead curiously for a moment when he cut himself off. What was that all about?

Come to think, he couldn't help but feel he had seen this guy before. Or, someone like him. He looked kind of like Lea, only taller and with more hair, and wearing a black cloak. Did Lea have a brother maybe?

"I'm Ventus." He offered with a smile. "But everyone calls me Ven. Nice to meet you."

[Kanaya had just stepped out of her room, a book in hand that she was going to the library to return since she had finished it earlier, when she noticed the red haired human. He wasn't someone she recognized so she decided to speak up.]

Excuse me, are you new?

[Hope you don't mind the troll girl talking to you!]

[identity profile] grimauxilatrix.livejournal.com 2011-09-03 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Hey, her horns are awesome. Don't judge]

I believe you just employed the human tactic of sarcasm.
My headgear? I do not know what you mean.

[identity profile] grimauxilatrix.livejournal.com 2011-09-04 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my horns, they are normal for trolls. As you age they grow more, but sizes range from tiny to rather large and each set of troll horns is unique. The color however is a constant.

[ Steph was doing her usual thing. Wandering the halls, stalking Tim, ect. when she saw Axel.

Check out that hair.

Good golly, Batman, that is something you don't see every day]

I don't think I've seen your red head around here.

[identity profile] thefourthtry.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's a Batfamily tradition]

I dunno. Hard to tell if it's shame worthy at this point.

I'm Stephanie, but you can call me Steph.

[identity profile] thefourthtry.livejournal.com 2011-09-04 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[I don't see why not. He has enough issues for it]

Somebody's confident. [Eye roll. Steph has worked with worse, Axel, step up your game.]

Cool name.
