Twelfth Staff ♞ F̶i͘l̨̛ȩ͢͢ ̴͡Ć͜͠ò̕͟r͘͜r̛u̸p̡͜͜t̀͝e̶͟͟d̴͜
Characters: Jin (or what's let of him), Sayaka, and anyone on the Third Floor
Setting: Third Floor Library, September 2nd
Format: Starting prose, can do whatever~
Summary: Jin and Sayka got Zo in trouble with Jason, and are now dealing with the consequence. The third floor has been sealed off, and Jin has transformed into a blood-thirsty monster, mentally tasked with killing a powerless Sayaka.
Warnings: Body horror/general horror, death, blood, injuries, all that good stuff. IF YOU TAG THIS POST YOUR CHARACTER WILL MOST LIKELY BE EITHER MAIMED, INJURED, OR KILLED.
The day started out perfectly fine. Jin and Sayaka had once again gathered in front of the computer, the first time in a few weeks, to go over their notes. A message had appeared on their post. Jin had chatted up Zo while Sayaka had stared in shock. Jason hadn't been too happy about this contact, and rather than allow the kid to get punished, Jin and Sayaka took the punishment-- they very well dared him, in fact.
A transformation had occurred. The third floor was now sealed away from the rest of the tower, inescapable, and everyone inside trapped. It probably wasn't hard to notice the commition at their terminal; there was still ink all over them and on the ground, and anyone whose attention had been drawn to that could've easily seen Jin's transfiguration into the cat-like beast that stood here now, hunched over on all fours, and staring Sayaka dead in the eye.
Sayaka hadn't had much time to react. Her powers were gone, but his eyes were trained on her. The intellect he usually boasted about had melted away, and now all he felt was a bloodlust-- the same kind he could feel from Moros, but this time he felt it. The desire to kill, to rip something apart, to spill blood.
He lunged at her; she didn't have much time to start running.
(OOC: Remember, it is not immediately obvious that Jin's target is Sayaka. He has, as of now, been transformed into a mindless killing animal, and he will not stop until she is dead which means if your character gets in his way, they will likely be maimed or killed so that they are out of his way. If Sayaka dies within the first three hours, Jin will continue rampaging in the library until the time has run out. If the three hours pass without her dying, once she is killed, Jin will also be stopped. While Sayaka is alive, Jin cannot be killed; he will simply heal and come back until she is dead. If he is killed after she is dead, he will die. NOTE: Sayaka's mun has stated that Sayaka will eventually smash her soul gem if they find out that she is Jin's target.
Please feel free to contact either of us if there are any questions or concerns!)

Hello? Hello?! What's going on? Is someone hurt?!

She's not quite processing this yet. She'd expected - well, she'd expected, at worsr, getting a treatment a bit like what he'd done to Roxas. That was the extent she could imagine happening at Jason's hands from range -
It's not fair he can just do things as bad as this to them whenever he wants. It's not fair, it's not fair it'snotfairit'snotfair--
whoops hi there Madoka she just kind of retreated right into you]

Actually, her presence was negligible, because either way, his eyes were train forward, and he lunged for both of them.]

He couldn't read, only recognize a few words by rote picture memory, and had never been encouraged to do so. Even with the bomber's notebook. A fairy had always ended up doing that for him. So slowly wandered the isles, left hand out, not quite touching the surface of the shelves he passed, in complete awe of the wealth of knowledge. He could touch them if he wanted. Maybe? No one had expressly given him permission, but no one had said he couldn't either. Back in Hyrule, and even Termina, he'd never been allowed to touch books.
Link's wistful wandering was brought short by the commotion near the strange boxes some of the others had been sitting in front of. He hurried out of the isle he was in to look over and then reacted without thought. His sword was out and his shield was up and he was running to put himself between the beast and Sayaka, to let his shield take the first hard blow and give her time to run. However this monster got there, he was going to do his damnedest not to let it hurt anyone.

When that's the sound that rings out, rather than the sick squelch of 'oh boy, looks like she got another nice flesh wound there,' Sayaka wastes a moment to be dazed - and then feel sickened.
To anyone else, this is the picturesque hero saving the damsel from a monster. But that's not how it is. That's not how it is at all and she can't stand seeing people defending her like Jin's just another monster that the tower spat up - she's got to think, think of some way to communicate that she's not the only one who needs saving and in fact, someone's state's a little more concerning than hers right now -
Another clang! from Link's shield. "Stop, stop, stop!"

Are there really this many hair-trigger heroes in the tower? She wonders if she's like that - and doesn't know whether she should try and restrain herself from it or not. This is a special case, though - a normal monster attack isn't like now, where all she can think is no, all of you leave, because I don't know what's going on but I don't want people tromping their way into it. You'll make it worse!
"Why are there so many people here--"

He was a lot stronger now since he had started training with Reno and it showed in the fact he could carry more books quicker; though his ankle was still sore from the fight against the monsters and he was pretty beat up from his fight with Vanitas.
He heard the crash and moved towards the noise quickly, sometimes the towers of books fell on people. "Is everything alright?"
no subject
Well, he was right about one thing - a few towers of books have been felled, but it seems to have been purposefully. Sayaka had heaved over quite a few of them with her un-torn arm while scrambling distinctly away from.. something. Someone?

"What the hell is that?"
Monsters didn't have collars. Monsters didn't appear in places like that this quickly.
Feferi wasn't armed at the moment, but she was going to rush in that direction anyway.
no subject
Sup, Feferi, she's just gonna grab your hand and rrrrrruuun this way because okay, she hasn't tried the brilliant idea of fleeing to the stairs yet, that's a good plan! Her powers are off, but hey, what if she can make it to a power disabling floor and it turns what Jason did off, too?!

He wasn't stalking for long though, as within the next second, he jumped right onto the table and straight for Sayaka.]

But then she heard it again -- and again. And again...footsteps, more crashing. She shoved herself away from the computer and went down the nearest shelf row towards the sound. ]
Are you okay? Hello?

Jade can't see the source of the voice or the noise just yet, but the sudden sharp sound of someone trying not to shriek after getting injured is apparent enough. Sayaka abruptly crashes into her field of vision, sporting a cool new gash on her leg and an improved appreciation for exactly how much that kind of injury hurts, dampening feeling or no.
She's not got much time to dwell, though, considering her pal-turned-pursuer.

And that's when he heard that sickening noise. It almost sounded to him like a Gnosis, until he realized what it actually was.
Wilhelm looked down at his chessboard. Carefully, and slowly - perhaps even more so than what would be natural, given the amount of adrenaline everyone else in the room is likely feeling - moved one of the Rooks on his side of the chessboard up four spaces, very nearly putting the opposing King in check. In fact, he could have; but he chose not to. ]
And so, the villain enters the stage.
[ Wilhelm then slowly faded away, and reappeared standing perfectly still on top of a bookcase, observing the fight. ]
{{ Telepathy: }} Allen, if you would kindly join me over here.
[[ OOC: ALSO! If, in the off chance, Wilhelm does any actual fighting... you guys might wanna tag this permissions post. He's... kind of a game breaker. ]]

It was easy for him to locate most people through his connection to the Collective Unconscious, but Wilhelm stood out like a beacon for multiple reasons. In another area of the library...no big surprise. And so, much like the white haired man, he faded out and reappeared on top of the bookcase, looking down.*
What happened this time?
(Likewise, on the chance that Allen does end up fighting, please tag his permissions post.)

He darts to safety, which in this case is behind England's legs.]
What's that?
no subject
...I don't know.
[Not that it's much of an explanation.
England withdraws his knife from his belt -- he'd have to see about making a harness for it -- and glances down to America.] Stay close to me.
[That said, he slowly starts to creep to the end of the bookshelf, to see if he can catch a glimpse of whatever it is from around the corner.]

Immediately, his blood flared up.
There was something here, and it didn't sound too friendly. He began to move, running until he found the source of the sound.

He's never far away from his team. Especially not Jin. Not after the promises they'd made. Even if it's just to bug him and make fun of him... he didn't want this. He shouldn't have toyed with what he was toying with. He knew it'd get him in trouble someday.
This leaves Sayaka about to die and he races toward the scene--
And he's horrified by what greets him. His brain takes a moment to process this before the rest of him catches up and his lack of care for his own survival and desire to protect Sayaka kicks in. It hurts, it hurts a lot, but he grabs his Evoker and sends Thanatos in between the monster that used to be his friend and Sayaka. It can take the damage. It's mostly immune. This is purely to protect her.
Come on, Sayaka. We've gotta get you out of here. Now. ]
