Characters: Eva and you!
Setting: Dormitories (room 03-07) and floor four.
Format: Action brackets.
Summary: Eva's arrival in the tower, mostly along with the usual surprise and finding people to ask some questions to.
Warnings: Shouldn't be any as far as Eva's concerned.. derp.
( room 03-07 )
[ Waking up in the room was pretty disorienting for her. After all, when you believe to have died, you wouldn't really expect to wake up anywhere - unless it's the afterlife, but since the woman is sitting on her bed by now and glancing at the letter, she already knows that much is not true. But the story on the letter is even worse to swallow. If it was the afterlife, that would at least mean she fulfilled what she wanted to do, but.. the world.. destroyed? Even the sons she tried to protect through her actions?
Eva ends up looking quite lost as she stares at the letter she's reading, her eyes slightly wide and disbelieving. She might not even notice at first if a roommate comes in due to it. ]
( fourth floor )
[ Eventually she does go out of the room though, ending up on the floor with the windows sooner or later. And that's where she stops for a little bit, just standing in front of the windows and watching what's outside - not the sky, just a whole lot of clouds, but still.. it's strange. She didn't expect to see anything like that again. So in a strange way it's fascinating and enough to distract her mind from her worries for a few moments.
She can be bothered or spoken to during the staring, but after a while of staring she does actually reach out to others as well - once she spots a stranger walking by, she might actually try to stop them for a moment. ]
Excuse me, but.. could you spare a moment of your time? [ At least she seems nice enough, right? Go help out the nice woman.. ]

She doesn't answer at first, instead she grabs something from the folds of her clothes, something she found in her trunk.. It's an old family picture, yes, including daddy and all. She was keeping it to ask people about whether they were here or not, but hey, might as well serve this purpose now. ]
I think there's quite the likeness. [ It's almost said as a joke - almost, since she's still not quite ready to grasp the situation. ]

Mother...? That can't be possible...

But.. I'm so glad to see you again, Vergil. [ And the happiness is easily audible in her voice, despite confusing circumstances. Besides, are you going to give your mother a hug yet, young man X( ] I didn't think I would be able to.. you've grown up so much too.

How did you recognise me like this?
no subject
It took me a moment, but.. still, don't you believe in a mother's instinct? Even if you're different, much older, it's unmistakably you. [ it's just like how she could keep you and Dante apart when you were kids, okay.. ]

[There might be a small hint of a smile there, but really, the guilt over the differences she can't plainly see is sinking in.]
no subject
.. Aren't you glad to see me? [ She knows he must be in a sense, since she does notice that slight hint of a smile, but.. he's more lineface than before, obviously. It's more a rhetorical question than anything else. ] It.. must've been a while.

I am.
We were eight at the time, it has been more than a while.
no subject
.. I'm sorry that I couldn't have been there for you longer. [ But she knows this was the only way, really, but.. mommy does want a hug, okay, so she slowly steps over to do exactly that, hope you don't mind, Vergil. Or even if you do, you already have a mommy attached to you. ]

That was nothing to do with you. You should grieve for your own life, rather than mine - you can see I'm fine.
no subject
Right now, I'm fine too, aren't I? [ even if it's not quite what she expected, but.. ] I have nothing about myself to grieve for.

[ She answers quickly, she doesn't even have to think about it. It was her goal in mind all along, keeping the demons away from them, letting them have her instead.. So even now, she smiles. ]
And.. I don't regret that at all.
no subject
You may come to.
no subject
I even got to see you again like this. So.. honestly, I don't think I have anything to complain about.

[Of course he is, and that just might be obvious enough, considering just how different he is from back then, even while trying to minimise the difference for her sake.]

So for a bit she looks thoughtful, but.. no, maybe it can wait just a bit, right? ]

[It's no Temen Ni Gru, but the tower isn't exactly good for sightseeing...]

I possess enough power to keep you from any danger.

[ Spending quality time with her kid is great to her, okay!! Although she is still a little worried, but he's got to be a pretty good warrior by now either way, right.. Not that it takes away the worry entirely, but. ]
I'm sure I'll be fine on my own sometimes though.

No. I couldn't allow that possibility. The dormitory floors appear to be safe, any others hold some risk.
