1st Symphony - Intro!
Who: Sona Buvelle and YOU!
Setting: All around the tower! Forward Dated to Sept. 14
Format: Starting action, will match
Summary: New to the tower, Sona starts to investigate!
Warnings: Sona cannot talk. Communication will be difficult. Otherwise, none to speak of!
Dormitory Levels
[Sona's daily to-do list is usually something along these lines: wake up, get ready, play the Etwahl for a while, fight on the Fields of Justice if needed, play more music, and maybe top of with a Pentakill concert. Throw some eating in there somewhere and it's any given day in the life of Sona. The following things were not on the list: wake up in a strange place in strange clothes, read a note claiming her world was destroyed, wonder how the hell her body even fit into this form-fitting bodusuit]
[But once she located her Etwahl - and breathed a sigh of relief that she hadn't been separated from it -it was time to venture forth. After all, there was no use complaining about the situation, especially when she didn't know what could be done about it]
[And so, having changed into her regular outfit, she roams the halls behind her instrument, hovering above the ground just slightly and gliding around as fingers expertly pluck at the strings, music filling the air and heralding her arrival]
All Around
[After her network post, it's time to wander! Everywhere Sona heads in the tower, she's heralded by the gentle tunes emerging from the Etwahl as it floats before her. It does stop for some time when she goes to eat the obligatory oatmeal, but other than that it follows her all around the tower. She eventually ends up in the music room, ignoring the other instruments in favor of her own. The music flows, but really, she's easily approachable. Will you do just that?]
[ooc: post location in the subject line!]

Hallways
He'd pick up his rod, put on his armor and head down the levels to see what he could blow up, explore or find that would keep him busy for the rest of the day.
It was on his way through the dorms, while thinking about what he should eat today that he heard it. That sound.... It almost made him drop his rod as he stood in place. He could recognize that tune anywhere, after all it saved his ass plenty of times in the Fields of Justice. Not that the great Veigar needed saving of course! But you know... safety!
His pace quickened as he scanned the area for the source, seeking her out by her unique powers as best he could. That's when he turned a corner and stopped as he noticed the woman with the Etwahl on her way down.
It took him a moment to come up with something witty to inquire about how she arrived in this place.]
you...?!
no subject
[When he comes into view though, there's no mistaking that armor and that hat - not when she's seen them countless times before. The sight is enough to make the musician hesitate, fingers hovering just above her strings as she stares blankly at him for a brief moment]
[Then all at once her expression changes into a huge smile, and Sona does something unheard of - she leaves the Etwahl behind, running around it straight over to Veigar. She drops to her knees and immediately wraps her arms around him in a big old hug]
[Looks like someone's happy to see him]
no subject
That is to the people who don't know him as a teammate. As a teammate he's always been steadfast and quick to prove that he IS the best and no one on his team will get hurt as long as he can avoid it. The hurting is left for the opposing team.
Veigar was stunned, blinking a few times as an odd warmth crept up to his face at the Maiven's actions. He allowed her to hold him for a few, knowing that she had never meant any ill will towards him in the times he had met her outside of combat. Maybe he even moved his arms around as much of her as he could and returned the hug.
After a few moments however he was tired of blushing and fussed about, fidgeting a little under her hug.]
So you ARE real. Good. That saves me the trouble of obliterating the owners of this place for attempting to torment me with my own memories!
no subject
[Her smile grows a little broader at his reaction - one that only further confirms that he's the real deal. She also nods in confirmation of his statement. There's only one Maven of the Strings and keyboardist for the rock sensation Pentakill, and she's standing (well, kneeling) right in front of him]
[Holding out a hand, the Etwahl hovers over towards her, going lower to the ground for her convenience. Sona tilts her head as she looks at Veigar, an inquisitive look on her face as she begins plucking out a quiet tune that matches it]
[Start explaining things, Veigar! You're her only hope!]
no subject
He stood in front of her and looked down for a few moments before he finally settled on what to say.]
It's true. As far as I have been able to find out anyways. Runeterra's gone and now we're captives of this place. They won't say captives of course, claiming to be saviors and still...
I don't have to warn you considering I know better than the rest that you're a capable fighter and teammate but this place is riddled with annoyances and dangers! Most of them trivial for one such as the great Veigar of course, but still... There's a few locations that limit even my powers.
[Of course those places frustrate the great and powerful Veigar the most so his irritation comes through clear as day.
He eyes her for a few moments and then looks away.]
Are you well?
no subject
[She's still for a few moments after his question, before her fingers start playing a new melody on the strings - a sad, mournful tune. It's hard to believe that Runeterra is gone... our homes, everyone we know...]
[The dirge continues, but then it turns hopeful as she gives her compatriot a sad smile. But I'm glad you're here, at least. We're not alone. Then once more, inquisitive! Is it just us?]
no subject
As far as I know, yes. There had been a faint presence before but... I never could quite discern it or find it.
But you're right, it's always good to have a competent partner!
no subject
[It's disappointing to think they might have missed another companion from home, but - ... wait, something doesn't add up here. The world was destroyed, so Veigar was brought here. But he's been here for a while, right? Especially if he knows the different floors and says someone used to be here. But then she was just brought here. How could she come here after him if the world was destroyed earlier?]
[... time is confusing]
[Something seems strange, Veigar. How long have you been here?]
no subject
This place is completely out of the loop of everything we know. And that's saying something for someone who can bend time and space....
As for how long, I don't know, I haven't been keeping time and I think that if I did I would drive myself insane. But it's been more than six months? Something of the sort.
no subject
[But six months... that's a long time away from home, and she's certain she'd have noticed if Veiger had vanished from the League for six months. There's some sort of magic at work here, at the very least - something powerful, probably more powerful than anything they'd ever encountered on Runeterra]
[How dangerous is this place? Do I need to worry about foes like Baron Nashor?
no subject
Yes, and worse from what I've heard. It's very bad if you get caught by something in the floors that deny you your powers.
[He took a small parchment out of his bag and sat down to make a list. Once he was done, he extended his hand over and offered the paper to the Maven, handing over a list of the floors to watch out for, in particular the ones that for whatever blasted reason, powers didn't work in.]
no subject
[By the time she collects herself from her thoughts, Veigar's finished list - which she gladly accepts, looking over it before she slips it into somewhere secure. Probably best not to ask where. She gives the Tiny Master of Evil another smile, but resists the urge to hug him again]
[Thank you, Veigar. Sincerely]
no subject
As such, he looked over at her, then his gaze shifted awkwardly to the ground, then to the side.]
You know, now that we're together again, we'll be even more unstoppable right? I have your back, just like old times.
[Now that he showed he cared without really saying it outright, Veigar waved a gauntleted hand dismissively.]
Don't mention it. Team's a team.
no subject
[Her song switches to a familiar one, as a green aura begins to envelop the both of them]
[Two is a bit lonely for a team, but I think we may make spectacular lane partners, Veigar.]
[A team's a team... and if she could arrive, then others could as well! Right? It only made sense - and once they had a team assembled, then they would truly be a force to be reckoned with]
no subject
[Still there was something that kept bothering the Yordle. If this place could keep bringing in people from their world... That meant that the owners of this place were far stronger than he originally thought and maybe confronting them might not be so wise, not yet anyways.
He looked over at Sona before looking away and acting casually uninterested.]
Anyways, I am glad you are here.
no subject
[Comforted by the Yordle's presence, and feeling just a little mischievous, Sona can't help herself. She leans in and plants a peck on his cheek, both trying to show her gratitude and get him a little riled up]
[And I'm glad to have you by my side.]
[Sona gets back to her feet, Etwahl rising to meet her height as she does. Before she can even consider parting ways with Veigar, there's one more critical question.]
[Is there any way to communicate quickly if we need each other?]
no subject
Wha-whe-why?! Woman!
[He's very well spoken it seems! After the little display of not knowing how to handle these kinds of things, Veigar nods.]
Through this network thing they have going... It's been down a few times but it works for quick messages. You can type, use the video or the audio... It's quite convenient actually.
no subject
[Splendid! And your room number? Mine is 1-17, should you ever need to find me.]
[If this place is as bad as he says, then it's best to take every precaution. Neither of them want to be caught out of position - a mistake like that can turn deadly very, very quickly]
no subject
I'm in 1-02 with some rather odd folk... If they would keep their hands off my things it wouldn't be too bad.
I'll make sure to keep in contact and... well... if you want to explore together just seek me out as well.
no subject
[Of course! We're a team!]
[There's a slight hesitation in the music before the tune changes]
[... though it may be strange without the connection to a summoner.]
no subject
But I guess after so much time working with them you sort of get used to that being called on a whim feeling.
no subject
[Our lives before the League were very different. I've never fought outside of it.]
no subject
Everyone's life is different I suppose. And for as much as we can all claim to know the mysteries of life, we can't begin to understand what we all went and still go through.
Nonetheless, that doesn't mean that I don't value certain lives... I don't divulge what my past was like, and I tend to like it that way. But... there are always exceptions.
[Veigar looked away for a second before looking back at Sona a bit more calm.]
Did you make sure to eat that wretched and flavorless oatmeal? It's necessary in this place, at least when you first arrive.
no subject
[There's a wisdom in his words, and though they make her curious about the Yordle's past, she knows better than to ask. After all, there wasn't a single Champion in the League - not even those viewed as morally upright - who didn't have something they were keeping secret. Hidden]
[She shakes her head in response to his question, the tune changing in response]
[Not yet. I thought I might head there next.]
no subject
I shall accompany you in this venture! That vile tasteless concoction is better eaten with support! I assume it's simply made that way to make you think twice on whether you'd like to be able to eat anything else or not!
Considering... you can't really eat anything else unless you've at least had it once.
