Characters: Luke (and his cheagle) and open to all!
Setting: Meadow floor, Saturday afternoon
Format: [Action] spam
Summary: Luke left his broken sword in the Meadow because he was more worried about Yu than he was about it. Now he needs to find it and see if it's worth saving, in addition to the feels that come with it.
Warnings: Feels, man. Just FEELS.
[Luke frowned as he shuffled around the meadow, keeping his eyes on the grass as his booted feet brushed back and forth through it. He hadn't gone back to collect his sword right away, more concerned over Yu's safety and what the fog could be doing to everyone than his weapon. Now that the fog was gone and everything seemed to be back to normal, he had the time to spare to look for it. Only problem was trying to find it; he couldn't remember the exact location he had dropped it, if it was even still there. For all he knew someone picked it up to get it out of the way.]
[Amnon, his little pink cheagle, was curled up on his shoulder, ears wiggling as he sniffed the air. He suddenly let out a surprised, "Mieu!" arcing up, before jumping off of Luke's shoulder and darting through the grass. He paused at a spot, before jumping up and down, shouting excitedly. Luke ran over, spotting the glint of metal from a few feet away, and dropping to the ground to pick up his damaged weapon.]
Hey, see if you can find the tip.
[Amnon let out an excited, "Mieuuu!", shooting off into the grass as Luke stayed where he was, leaning back to sit on his feet as he examined the blade. It was pretty well toast; a good portion of the tip had snapped off, and cracks and stresses in the metal were littered all along the break, extending down into the sword. Even if he tried to use it again, it would only be a matter of time before more pieces broke off.]
[He sighed softly, letting his hand run along the flat of the blade. Would it even be worth keeping anyway? Master Van had given this sword to him... and...]
[I didn't lose my childhood. I didn't have a childhood to lose!]
[Luke shuddered at the memory of his shadow's words, feeling tears starting to well up in his eyes. He raised his hand, rubbing at them furiously; dammit, he had cried enough after he recovered from the attack. He wasn't going to do this anymore, no matter how much the thought of Master Van lying to him hur--]
[...dammit, there went the tears again. He let out an aggravated noise, flailing before fighting furiously against his face.]
[Clearly, he needs a distraction.]

Aaaaaah! It's so cute! It's SO CUTE!
[And she starts through the grass at a quick but light pace, hoping to catch up with it and not startle it and maybe even snuggle it, if her luck holds...
Oh. Hey. Is that a guy over there? That's totally a guy over there. And he looks really upset.]
Heeeeeey.....

[Luke let out an annoyed noise, rubbing his face.]
N-not so loud, geeze...
no subject
Aah, Sonata's sorry! Sonata's sorr~~~~y!
[She's never going to find it, is she? With a sigh and an overdone slump, she relents. And then shuffle-steps herself around so she's facing the was-sad, now-annoyed guy.]
Sonata didn't mean to scare it!
...hey, are you okay?
no subject
[...says the guy that used to beat on the poor cheagle. Luke let out a sigh, resting back a bit as he took an absent wipe at a tear that didn't want to go away.]
M'fine, just a lot on my mind...
no subject
[So much for getting to snuggle something. Sonata sighs loudly once again, then tromps through the grass so that she's right alongside Luke.]
You should do something to take your mind off of it, then! Frowny faces are no good.

Suddenly a pink blur zooms past him, almost making him fall over onto his butt. What in the..? Hibiki looks around for it, curious, but his eyes land on a figure not so far away. He couldn't make out what they were doing, but it wouldn't hurt to approach them so off he goes!
Waving his arm, he shouts:]
Hey!

[He does look up when he hears a show, offering a wave in return. He didn't know the kid... but it was kinda freaky how many kids were in this place.]
Hey!
no subject
Oooh, red hair just like Silver.]
Hello! I'm Hibiki! [Eventually someone's gonna think he's a weirdo for introducing himself to people just like that.]

Luke.
[He paused, looking around. Hunh... those big things weren't there before, but they didn't seem threatening.]
Are those yours?
no subject
And it's nice to meet you, Luke! [smilesmilesmile]

That is unless one squints as they watch. A moment here and there, an observer can see a distortion in the air where one would expect a sword to be. Regardless, the harshness of the knight's blackened armor makes its presence stand out clearly in the peaceful meadows.]

[The cheagle let out a squeak, bouncing back and landing in the grass. He reached up to rub his head, before staring up at the dark clad knight...]
M-mieeeuuu...

She'd never seen such a thing before, so she shifted her unseen sword into one hand and reached down to grab the thing by the scruff of its neck to pick up and get a better look at it.]
no subject
MIEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUU!!!
[That definitely caught Luke's attention. He called for the Cheagle, before running in the direction his screams were coming from, broken sword in hand. He stopped just before, gritting his teeth; d-damn, she looked scary...]
Oy! Let go of my cheagle!
no subject
Her attention shifted to the red-haired man at his yell and she saw the broken sword. If it wasn't for the fear she could feel off him, she may have taken his words aggressively.
Instead, she looked the pink thing over once more before lowering it back to the ground.]
I have never seen nor heard of a cheagle before. Is it a pet of yours?

Also given how relatively quiet the floor tends to be, it's not all that unusual to find someone else there. But when that someone else is clearly upset, for some reason... For a moment, Xion is torn about approaching them or leaving them alone, before finally opting for the former. Especially since she remembers this person, from shortly after they got here.]
A-are you okay?
no subject
I-I'm all right.
no subject
A-are you sure? Because... this Tower's a really awful place.
[She knows how awful it can be.]
no subject
Yeah, it is a really awful place. But... I guess sometimes it can be helpful.
no subject
I guess that's true.
[After a moment she sits down in the grass next to him.]
And there's friends we make here that we never would've met back home...
[Man, she still has so many mixed feelings about this place...]
