Characters: Sollux Captor and open
Setting: Starting in room 2-06, but you can assume he's wandering the halls anywhere, since he'll go out exploring.
Format: I'll follow your lead.
Summary: Sollux has just arrived (~~again~~) and he's confused and Unhappy about it.
Warnings: None yet.

Sollux didn't remember falling asleep, but he definitely remembered waking up. He fought the sleep paralysis for the full thirty seconds, and then shot up from the bed the moment his eyes opened, his teeth bared in a snarl.

He'd been dreaming...something. Something bad. He always woke up badly when he dreamed about his own death, but the specifics were fading like wisps of fog in the morning, and he couldn't be sure if it was a vision or not. The voices were sure loud, though. Fuck were they loud.

He was distracted from the question of the dream, though, as he looked around the unfamiliar room in confusion. "What the actual fuck?"

"I guess it must be!" Her smile fades slightly at his last question. She was really not looking forward to telling him about the loss of his sight, and looking forward to telling him about Feferi's death even less. "Nothing good. Do you want to know?"

"Ath if I haven't probably theen it in a vision at thome point," Sollux said wryly, shrugging. "Jutht tell me. If you don't, thomeone elthe probably will, and I'd rather jutht know when I've brathed mythelf."

"Well, I am not completely sure what happened." She pauses, glancing up at him. "But it seems as though Eridan went off the deep end, too. He blinded you and killed Feferi and Kanaya, then destroyed the matriorb."

"...Are you fucking theriouth?" He couldn't even comprehend that. Sure, Eridan was a tool and an asshole, but he killed Feferi?

"But, I thought you thaid FF wath here? And Kanaya, too!" he protested, grasping at straws.

She frowns, reaching out to place a hand on his arm. "They are. This place can pull us in from different points in the timeline, I think. Kanaya said the last thing she remembers is Eridan trying to kill her."

He chewed on his lip, but allowed the touch, confused and upset by the news. "I can't believe that fucking athhhole killed ff..."

The news of his own blindness wasn't a shock, though it was amazing to him that it was Eridan who had done it. "How the fuck did he manage it? He'th tho..." That gun was powerful, but Sollux had faced it and won decisively. Then again, Feferi's trident wasn't the kind of weapon that could stop a blast from Ahab's Crosshairs.

"I don't know. I wasn't there." She had been off... Crying, actually, which was a little embarrassing. "Vriska killed Tavros, as well. And then, from what I have gathered, Gamzee killed Equius and Nepeta. Somehow, Kanaya came back as a rainbow drinker and killed Eridan. At least, that is what he says."

Okay, this was a lot to take in at once. "What...the actual flipping fuck, tz." He bent his head, rubbing his forehead with two fingers. "I don't even...Jeguth."

"I told you you missed a lot!" She tilts her head again, reaching out to poke him experimentally. "Are you okay?"

He twitched as she poked him and dropped his hand. "Yeah of courthe I'm fine. I jutht found out that the girl I maybe like ith dead. Again. Along with nearly everyone I know. But no biggie."

She drops her hand as well, looking more than a little worried. "I'm sorry, Sollux. But if the Veil really is destroyed, and everyone here is from before everything went horrible..."

"Then it'll probably jutht happen again, only here," Sollux said fatalistically. He rubbed his temple with one finger, then shook his head. "I'm fine, tz. Really. It'th jutht a lot to hear all at onthe."

"No, it won't," she replied firmly, tilting her head towards him again. "I have been keeping a very close eye on Eridan and Vriska!"

He glanced up at her, finding a smile. "I'll keep an eye on them, too, then. Not that there'th probably much I can do."

She sighed. They were going to have this conversation again? Sometimes Terezi really didn't understand why so many of her friends were boys with crushing self-esteem issues. "There is plenty you can do! There's no way I can stop Eridan if he does decide to do something. I think you might be the only one who can right now!"

"Me?" Sollux looked up and blinked. Well, of course he could. Other than the fact that apparently he lost once. "But he obviouthly beat me the latht time and blinded me, you thaid."

"But you beat him every other time. I think it must have just been a fluke!" She grins, rocking back on her heels. "Psionics are way stronger than lame magic, riiight?"

"Magic?" Sollux snorts, then shakes his head. "Well, yeah. It had to have been a fluke. Tho fine, I'll keep my eye on him, and you can be in charge of Vrithka. Deal?"

"Deal!" She replies, bouncing in place a bit. "Soo, do you want me to show you around?"

He grins, though it's not as wide as hers. "Yeah, show me around the plathe. Ith it any more interethting than the Veil?"

She links her arm through his and begins to drag him unceremoniously towards the stairs. "Way more interesting! The Veil smelled like cold and metal and concrete. This tower is gigantic. But don't go to the fourth floor, okay?"

He follows, not really wanting to get dragged. "What'th on the fourth floor?"

"That is a very good question!" She replies as they approach the stairs. "Karkat and I - um, the blue Karkat - went down there. The ceiling slopes down until you have to crawl to get to the opposite wall. But when we got there, something grabbed us and dragged us all the way back to the stairs."

"...Creepy." He glances at Terezi. "What'th the point?"

She grins back. "Another good question. I have no clue!"

Annnnd down the stairs they go. "The top two floors are all rooms for us. Just below them is this giant human... Church? I think that is what it's called!"
