now to write my name down next to yours
Characters: Master Xehanort (as Aqua), and whoever decides to join him
Setting: Roaming the tower hallways most likely, but can be met on specific floors if you prefer
Format: Whichever way you would prefer
Summary: Bodyswap summary post. Xehanort had to tend to something... important, and is now roaming in search of others and answers. And trying to get used to this whole "constant light" business...
Warnings: Tags will be coming from
inaquate. Also Xehanort.
Note: Please specify what day you are tagging into from now on so I know what level of symptoms to show!
[It had been a mad rush, once he'd realized... and at least things could be halted roughly before they had progressed to a dangerous state. With her and him now safely secure where they wouldn't be likely to be disturbed, he began to make his way back down the twisting stairs of the tower.
His head wasn't in the game, not properly. It was difficult to focus when everything was wrong. This body used physics that were almost unfamiliar... the shape of hips, breasts, even the musculature was different. She was shorter and more lithe, but more difficult was the degree of light within. That was the most distracting... rather than the constant feeling of the darkness he kept beneath his skin. Which was the true name of the game, wasn't it? This wasn't him, it wasn't his heart.
He stopped mid-stride, concentrating again. Master Keeper appeared in his grasp rather than the familiar curves and hooks of his own blade. He'd known that, but had been too focused on his earlier task to pay it that much mind. Now he held the blade up as thought testing the heft, before dismissing it.
This was wrong. Everything about it was wrong. He'd planned a possesion before, but that would have been his heart in another vessel, and his body wouldn't have been left as a receptacle.
There was nothing left to do but to see what information could be found. He began to continue on resolutely, although he was more relying on his mental maps to keep going as he focused more on the unusual movements, trying to keep everything together. He must look ungainly, indeed...]

[His guard is a little bit lowered, Aqua's light being a familiar, comforting presence even while in the wrong body.] If you don't mind me asking... where were you headed?
[One part socializing, one part info gathering. He's... getting better at this. Besides, if this isn't Aqua, he'll need to get her talking to be sure.]

I just finished doing some training. I was heading for the cafeteria to get a drink... I suppose I was more tired than I realized.

He could just outright ask her, but... he'd feel like an idiot if it turned out it was Aqua.] I can understand that. Mind if I tag along?
[He needs to see how she moves. Aqua's natural grace isn't exactly easily replicated.]

[It's awkward enough to move around, doing so with company seems a bit... daunting, as her centre of balance is much lower than what he's used to.]

Going to shake his head.] I'll move at your pace.
[A pause, and he tilts his head slightly to one side, a small smirk forming on his face.] Getting used to a different body must be tough.

I would not wish you to be held up by my slow progress in adjusting, however. If that is your end goal, we will most likely meet up when I make my way there.

But he finds himself stiffening slightly at how... familiar this person sounds. The formality, the structure of their sentences--it sounds so different with Aqua's voice, but he feels like he knows it well. Too well.
... and if his own reaction was any indication, not in a good way. There's only a few people he'd put his guard up around just from hearing them talk.
Another shrug. Best to try and stay casual.] It isn't, really. I'm just keeping my eyes open for people I know.
[His friends, Riku's friends, people both of them know. A pause, and there's this look of concern that appears on his face. Even if he's talking with... well. Who he is starting to suspect he thinks this is? This is Aqua's body. Aqua's light. It's hard not to feel at ease around it.
... Light, he hopes she's okay.] Did you find Aqua--the person in your body? How's she holding up?
[Who are you, where is she, how is she taking this. These are things a big bro needs to know.]

[Then there's that affair. It's not something he particularly wishes to involve anyone in, as it's already a bit of a precarious situation. With any luck he can deflect this line of questioning...]
Yes, I did. She seemed to be doing well enough last I saw her... [It's entirely true, but the actual severity of the situation leaves something to be desired.] The event has left the both of us a bit shaken, one could say.

He still has others to look for, and he wouldn't know where to start. And with who he thinks this is based on their word-use and their phrasing alone (it's an educated guess, but still just that; a guess)...
He has to ask, since that comment about being shaken has him wanting to dig deeper. Find out more.
'Please be all right...'] ... I imagine she would be; she... didn't have much Darkness that I could detect. Getting used to a heart that is almost full of it would be jarring.
But you're not used to Light anymore, either... right? [It's the closest to a guess at this person's identity as he dares to get. A full accusation might reveal who he is, and that... wouldn't end well.
... Light help him, why is he drawing out having a conversation with ... with what is likely Xehanort?]

[This one is good, and he can't help but grin a little at the sprinkled hints of recognition. It's the first time he's been called out so clearly, and when the boy finishes he's rewarded with a slight chuckle.
Speaking of backlash...]
I am no stranger to light, although such quantity is more than I have dealt with in some time. For her, however, the situation was a bit more than a simple adjustment... [His hands raise in a vague guesture.] She is well and safe enough for the moment.
