Summary: Haruhi finds herself in a body that doesn't belong to. Cue shenanigans.
Warnings: Trolling. A lot of it.

[ Waking up in a room that wasn't hers in a body that didn't belong to her certainly surprised the brigade chief. Then again, becoming a different person altogether seemed to look like a lot of fun. After all, she could learn things from other people that she couldn't while she was 'Haruhi Suzumiya'.

Just play it cool, and play it safe.

Playing it safe meaning: "check all the stuff that this girl has" as well as figure out what these... weird feelings are. But she'll run around the tower pretending that she's a klutz and bump into any random person while falling on her butt. And when that happens, she'll apologize. ]

I- I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going, that's all... do you need help?

[ Haruhitou stumbles back, catching herself before she falls. As in, both not falling and grabbing her body's arm. She opens her mouth to say something, but no words come out. It's really surreal, looking yourself in the face. ]

H, hi...ey. [ She finally manages. ] ... AH! Haruhi-san!?

[ Even though Haruhi isn't surprised (naturally, she thought things through), she still is forced to be silent for several seconds before she catches her breath, and her voice. This really was weird. ]

Satou-chan, right?

A-ah... Yes! Satou!

[ She bows humbly. ]

Kuroneko Satou! Nice to uh- have caught up with you! [ She stands again. Thinking hard. If she had a user manual for her body, what would it say? What's in the first chapter? What does Haruhi need to know? ] A-are you um... getting along okay?

Actually, I've been doing fine.

[ She says this in the nicest tone she can muster. Though there might be a less-than-innocent tone to it. ]

You haven't done anything weird with my body, have you?

I pet a dog!

[ She announces proudly. No, seriously, highlight of Miss Allergic-to-Dogs' day.

Then her smile tones down. A bit more serious now. She doesn't want to kill the airhead impression she gives off forever, but there are some things she needs to make sure of. ]

How's our head?

[ Satou... that wasn't even the answer to the question.

But nonetheless, she'll sigh, scratching the side of her head. ]

I think it's... alright. I'm not really sure.

[ She hasn't gone insane, so that's saying something! ]

It's not like I've actually experienced this before, anyway.

[ For a moment, Satou considers just leaving it at that... but she knows empathy is dangerous. It's been dangerous for her in the past, causing her to become depressed or angry along with those around her.

And in a situation like this, with mass confusion, it could be a real thread to Haruhi. ]

It's called empathy. I um-... k-kinda lied before. I'm a witch. It's one of my abilities. [ She nervously offers a hand. ] Come on, I'll teach you to handle it?

[ Haruhi's eyes practically light up when she reveals the fact that she's a witch. Sorry, Satou, but Haruhi loves weird things like this. ]

You're a witch? Really? That's so amazing!

[ Totally ignoring the question and the fact that she can use empathy... ]

[ Her cheeks turn a bit red. No one's... ever had that response before, actually.

Except Shugo, but he's a silly.

Suddenly, Satou's need to keep secrets is off. Who cares? Not Satou! She just wants to see Haruhi more excited about this switch. Someone happy to be a girl like Satou. ]

I have magic too. I can teach you to use it, if you want?

[ Haruhi is definitely pinged. The fact that this girl is going to help her do what she wants makes her even more excited.

Grabbing Satou's hands, Haruhi's face shows so much of her enthusiasm. ]

Teach me everything, Satou-sensei!

[ She's... only calling her 'sensei' to get on her good side, honestly. ]

[ Satou's ego does not give a damn. Say it again! ]

Y-yes, okay! [ She clasps Haruhi's hands back, just as excited. It's like Shugo all over again. Haruhi looks just as naively excited as he did. But this time... her grip loosens. This time, she won't let 'Shugo' die. ] Oh, did you find the gun in my trunk?

Oh, yeah, I did.

[ She's less energetic now, but she's still very excited about learning how to use magic. ]

I left it in the room, though.

Mm, okay. It might be good for us to go get that later...

[ In case Satou needs to protect Haruhi's body... she has spells fused into a few of the bullets. Only a few, but this seems like a time when Mikale would want her to use those. ]

For now, I'll teach you some basics. Like how to summon your wand and stuff. [ She nods. ] And some defensive spells.

Yeah. Since guns are pretty important if something as big as this happens.

[ She does know how to use a gun, thankfully... ]

And that sounds fine. [ Haruhi nods, kind of thankful for this. ] Though I'm sure I'll be able to get a handle of it pretty easily!

[ She's just boasting overconfidence... ]

Mm, I bet you will! Okay, let's see... we might need pen and paper for this first step... To summon my wand, you'll need to visualize it a bit. I wonder where a good place to practice is...

There should be a pen and paper in my room.

[ After all, she does do other things in her spare time. ]

I think the gym would be a good place to practice, though.

Okay, sounds like a plan, Haruhi-san! Let's get going then?

[ This is so much fun. The thought crosses Satou's mind over and over. How can this be dangerous? ]

I haven't.

[ No danger here, that's for sure. ]

I'm from an ordinary, dull world. That's why I created the SOS Brigade to begin with. So I can find something interesting.

Don't worry, it was the same for me at first. I didn't know I had magic growing up. But if I can learn it at 10 then you can definitely learn it now!

Well, if you put it that way... it sounds kind of easy.

Yep! Magic is all about things you probably already know how to do.

Oh-! And that empathy. You can make it turn off by deciding not to think about other peoples' feelings. Try not to use it in a crowd, it's tiring.
