[ Waking up in a room that wasn't hers in a body that didn't belong to her certainly surprised the brigade chief. Then again, becoming a different person altogether seemed to look like a lot of fun. After all, she could learn things from other people that she couldn't while she was 'Haruhi Suzumiya'.

Just play it cool, and play it safe.

Playing it safe meaning: "check all the stuff that this girl has" as well as figure out what these... weird feelings are. But she'll run around the tower pretending that she's a klutz and bump into any random person while falling on her butt. And when that happens, she'll apologize. ]

I- I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going, that's all... do you need help?

Except Shugo, but he's a silly.

Suddenly, Satou's need to keep secrets is off. Who cares? Not Satou! She just wants to see Haruhi more excited about this switch. Someone happy to be a girl like Satou. ]

I have magic too. I can teach you to use it, if you want?

[ Haruhi is definitely pinged. The fact that this girl is going to help her do what she wants makes her even more excited.

Grabbing Satou's hands, Haruhi's face shows so much of her enthusiasm. ]

Teach me everything, Satou-sensei!

[ She's... only calling her 'sensei' to get on her good side, honestly. ]

Y-yes, okay! [ She clasps Haruhi's hands back, just as excited. It's like Shugo all over again. Haruhi looks just as naively excited as he did. But this time... her grip loosens. This time, she won't let 'Shugo' die. ] Oh, did you find the gun in my trunk?

Oh, yeah, I did.

[ She's less energetic now, but she's still very excited about learning how to use magic. ]

I left it in the room, though.

Mm, okay. It might be good for us to go get that later...

[ In case Satou needs to protect Haruhi's body... she has spells fused into a few of the bullets. Only a few, but this seems like a time when Mikale would want her to use those. ]

For now, I'll teach you some basics. Like how to summon your wand and stuff. [ She nods. ] And some defensive spells.

Yeah. Since guns are pretty important if something as big as this happens.

[ She does know how to use a gun, thankfully... ]

And that sounds fine. [ Haruhi nods, kind of thankful for this. ] Though I'm sure I'll be able to get a handle of it pretty easily!

Mm, I bet you will! Okay, let's see... we might need pen and paper for this first step... To summon my wand, you'll need to visualize it a bit. I wonder where a good place to practice is...

[ After all, she does do other things in her spare time. ]

I think the gym would be a good place to practice, though.

Okay, sounds like a plan, Haruhi-san! Let's get going then?

[ This is so much fun. The thought crosses Satou's mind over and over. How can this be dangerous? ]

I'm from an ordinary, dull world. That's why I created the SOS Brigade to begin with. So I can find something interesting.

[ Part of Satou is envious. She would like be a part of that "ordinary, dull world" in some ways. ]

Don't worry, it was the same for me at first. I didn't know I had magic growing up. But if I can learn it at 10 then you can definitely learn it now!

Well, if you put it that way... it sounds kind of easy.

[ After all, she is one of the top students in her class! ]

Yep! Magic is all about things you probably already know how to do.

Oh-! And that empathy. You can make it turn off by deciding not to think about other peoples' feelings. Try not to use it in a crowd, it's tiring.
