Characters: Terezi and Bluekat
Setting: In the dorms, just after Karkat returns.
Format: Action?
Summary: Terezi thinks Bluekat is being a huge wriggler about this whole "alternate version" business. TIME TO LAY DOWN THE LAW.
Warnings: None!

[Terezi would never, ever understand why she kept becoming friends with cudmudgeonly boys with egos made of glass. Karkat's little temper tantrum had been one of the most ridiculous things she'd seen.

But, to be fair, she could understand why he was frustrated.

That didn't mean he had to be such a baby about it.

So Terezi knocks on his door, tapping her cane against her shoe impatiently.]

[She senses his discomfort, and for once decides to drop it. Mostly.]

I am still a Seer! But I'm the Seer of Mind. Sollux is the Mage of Doom.

[It was a correction in regards to Sollux, but he doesn't turn around to make it. Instead he's just going to stop at the entrance to the forest floor.]

So weird!

[She giggles as they stop, reaching for his hand to tug him towards the forest.]

[Tugged. Fitfully.]

I swear, if a featherbeast shits on my jacket, I'll have your head.

You are such a grub.

[Lots of trees! No animals so far.]

That shit doesn't wash out, alright?

[Siiiiiiigh whatever. CONTINUING ONWARD.]

Sometimes you have to get dirty to have fun!

[Pause]

I don't plan on getting dirty. For the record.

You do now!

[Let's wander, Karkat. Is there anything interesting in this forest?]

[He certainly doesn't know, but the light is making him squint in displeasure.]

What's so special about this place, anyway? The fuck are they keeping it here for?

...same question goes for that fucking fish tank floor or whatever.

[She grins.]

That is what we are trying to find out!

[The forest itself isn't so strange yet. There are trees that she's never seen on Alternia, sure, but for the most part everything is boring and green and happy. There are animals, too - strange things that she can't quite lock down a scent on.]

[Karkat doesn't let his eyes linger anywhere too long -- he's far too convinced something is going to jump out and devour them.]

Somehow facechecking unexplored flora with weird beasts crawling in it doesn't sound like the smartest idea.

[But he breaths and matches her step stubbornly. He's tired of being called a wriggler.]

[So they continue, Terezi stopping every once in a while to examine a plant that is especially unfamiliar to her. There are animals, too. Little birds and squirrels and weird hoofbeasts with huge, pronged horns that almost seem to be watching their progress. Terezi doesn't notice.]

[The animals interest Karkat more, especially since they're staring. Every time he tries to look away, he ends up looking back uneasily.

Eventually, he starts to see different creatures than what he originally looked upon, which causes him to grab Terezi's shoulder.]

I think exploring time is over now.

[Terezi glances up, tilting her head at him. One of those weird hoofbeasts is picking its way over the ground towards them. She turns her attention to it with a frown. Taking a small, cautious step back, she tugs herself out of Karkat's grasp.]

What is it?

Something's not right. I mean, ok, it could just be me freaking out, but seriously...

[He's afraid to stare at any animal too long, so he can't quite describe what they're doing to his head.]

[Terezi shakes her head, taking hold of Karkat's arm. Nope, there is something definitely wrong with this thing. But before she can say so to Karkat, it lowers its head and charges.]

[Karkat: Proceed to freak the fuck out.]

Holy fucking--

[The blueblood promptly dives out of the way, with Terezi still attached to his arm, pupils dilating in a bit of fear. Why did he agree to this?]

[And Terezi, still holding on, is yanked. Certainly far enough to avoid impalement, but the thing's horn graze her arm and she lets out a squeak of pain as she hits the ground. She can already smell teal, and she scrambles to her hands and knees and makes a grab for Karkat's arm again.]

Get up, get up!

[He doesn't need telling twice, heart pounding. He promptly attempts to thieve the creature's speed, but only ends up with a head-splitting headache for his efforts.]

Fuck, I can't even--

[He doesn't have time to finish the sentence, stumbling away from the creature's next charge, shoving Terezi back in the process to avoid it.]

[She inhales sharply when he pushes her back, because he manages to bump her arm, sending a sharp stab of pain all the way up to her shoulder. But she does her best to ignore it, grabbing his sleeve and sprinting for the exit, instead.]

[Successfully dragged! Once they're out of the level, he leans over on his knees and pants.]

That. Is the last time. You're bringing me anywhere.

[She plops down on the steps, totally ignoring him. Wow, that is... A lot of blood.]

Maaaybe you could stop whining and tell me how bad this is.

[Oh right, she got clipped didn't sh--

--wow.]

Its uh. Not that bad. I guess this is a bad time to tell you that fixing bumps and bruises really isn't my specialty, huh?

[He pauses to move around and kneel to closer examine the wound. Ugh, that's kind of gross.]

...how do you feel?

[She smirks.]

Jegus, what good are you, then?

[Her arm is throbbing, and she glances down ineffectually. She can't make out much - just a wash off teal down her upper arm. It probably needs stitches.]

I am a big girl! Just tell me how it looks already!
