So that last week had been hell, and they really should have seen it coming, but it's as they all say...

It was just another Tuesday in Tower What The Helsinki is Going On Here.

Unlike the private party, there are definitely plenty of decorations courtesy of the Amagi Inn heiress, and plenty of food thanks to those who offered to hunt for the event and the ones who could prepare what was caught and gathered. Really, everything's set. Even some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were clearly labeled (so please, don't spike the normal punch. There are kids here!).

So why was this all set up? Why, because they had succeeded in pissing in Jason's cornflakes and got him maaaaad figuring out the cure for the madness of the previous week with the clues that had been given. But wait, was there a birthday or two this month that had otherwise gone unnoticed? Well, why not celebrate them while celebrating their hard-earned victory? There's cards on a table for people to write down the lucky people who survived another year of this craziness, just waiting for well wishes (or not so, depending on if you like them or not).

I thank you for informing me of this, Saber. But... rest assured, if you are killing out of mercy, if there was no other option, than I will not stop you. I may not ever do such a thing myself, but I acknowledge that... sometimes, it is the only option.

[She's seen enough soldiers mortally wounded on the battlefield begging for death. Putting an end to their suffering was much better than prolonging it, she's been told.]

[She shakes her head, managing to smile.] Do not worry about such things. I am glad you brought this up now, rather than let it sit. It makes it easier to move past this whole mess.

{Saber raises her eyebrow again.] Do you forgive him?

[faithstaynight]

No. [Said very, very flatly.] I will never forgive him for his foul antics. Even so, I wish to forget about it as much as I possibly can.

And here I thought forgiveness was a Christian virtue.

I would like to forgive him, believe me. But what he did... he crossed a line that should not have been crossed. He took something I had to fight to keep and soiled it in mere days.

[Pause.] Ah, but how did you know about my faith...? [Oh no, just what was he saying in her body???]

When he sought out the Cathedral and spoke of sin and God in his panicked state when he could not sort out what was him and what was you, your faith was easy to deduce. Christianity is not unknown to me.

[Christianity had made its way into Britain during her reign.]

I see... [She can't help but sigh in relief.] My apologies, I did not mean to seem suspicious of you. I was just unsure of what he might have said in such a state, if anything could have given certain things away...

I do not believe the Hound would be so dishonorable as to give your true identity away.

But when caught in the harsh grip of such a crisis, it might be difficult to make sure such a thing does not slip. He was struggling with separating his identity from mine, after all.

I would be angry at first, but on a more rational note, I... would not have blamed him, if it had slipped. It would have been incredibly frustrating, yes, but it would not have been entirely his fault.

At some point, we all give our true identity away. The question is whether it will harm or help us after the fact.

[faithstaynight]

Mm, true... [She falls silent for a moment, contemplating this.] I honestly can't say which it would be for me, should the time come for me to reveal my name.

No doubt the Hound knows yours and you his. [Which means Ruler should be able to deduce that Saber calling Lancer 'the Hound' means she also knows his true name.]

Have you seen the other Lancer by chance?

[faithstaynight]

[Yes, and it's very frustrating that someone knows her name without her telling them first >(!! Bluh bluh...

Ah, but that question does distract her from any possible outbursts....]

You mean the one in black armor? I have seen him, yes, but only once. I approached him and his Master when they first arrived.

How did that go? [Saber is watching Ruler carefully...]

[She is very aware of just how Saber is watching her, but she doesn't worry at all. No reason to worry if there's nothing to worry about, right?]

There were no hostilities from him, his Master, or myself. I simply wished to exchange greetings, and we did just that.

That is good to know. And your thoughts on them?

[Did Ruler notice the similarities between Saber and them? Saber wanted to know.]

I am not sure what to think of them, to be quite honest. I will need to approach them again to reach any sort of conclusion, but I need to be careful when doing so. I do not wish to be seen as an enemy.

... You have some sort of connection to them, don't you? The aura about you is near-identical to theirs.

[Guess that answers that question!]

To them? No. We are not from the same reality.

[Strange, very strange...]

I will not pry if you do not wish me to, so I will not question the familiarity about you. But if you are not connected to them at all, why as me about my feelings towards them?

Curiosity. I wanted to know your thoughts because of those similarities. Whereas we are from different realities, mine and theirs have one thing in common. And that is what produced the aura you sense.

suuuure, sure, whatever you say....

It is... something I do not know about, for sure, so I cannot say I have many feelings on it, outside of curiosity. I cannot tell if it is a common or uncommon occurrence for Servants - and their Masters - to have such an aura.

But... the ones who keep us here brought all of us from vastly different worlds, correct? Perhaps some worlds are more similar than we thought.

It seems some worlds are shadows or... reflections of others. Such as mine and Rin's.

"Reflections" is a good word, I think. I've never heard of such an occurrence... but I don't see how it couldn't be possible, with the similarities and differences of our worlds compared to others.
