Reno was going about his business, almost a bit too normal, though he did look confused once in a while, pausing and looking around. Of course, he was keeping his eye out for Xion to talk with her about what happened, but so far, he hadn't seen her... he wanted her to know he was all right, that nothing bad had happened, just some torture and a death. It seemed like the best thing to do, considering the circumstances.

And the fact he couldn't find her, or Elena for that matter (hadn't Ganondorf said something about a blond friend?) that had him just a bit worried. Nothing was wrong, right? They'd both escaped, so she... should have been somewhere he could find her, at least. Right?

"...I know. I was there. But she has you and me and her other friends to help her." Reno frowned at the kid. "Look, Shion. It's become really clear this guy is really bad news, there's no way of me going head to head with him and winning. It's best not to provoke him. Besides..." He trailed off, taking a deep breath and placed both hands on Shion's shoulders. "Shion, I need ya to stop flying off the handle. I'm getting worried about you, and it's worse because you don't have the mental training I do when going int a battle. You totally lose it whenever something happens, and that's gonna get you killed a lot more than you need to be. You need a cool head in times like that. On top of it, I can brush that kinda crap off, you can't. And neither can Xion. I'll be having a talk with her, too."

Shion glared at him more, he struggled against the grip because he didn't care what was going to happen, he didn't care if he was hurt because Ganondorf had hurt those he cared about and that was all that mattered. "He has to be stopped, he will do it again. He will hurt you... and Xion..."

He struggled more, "Let me go Reno," he tried to push him away. He still wasn't strong enough, not to fight Ganondorf but he had to try, anger clouded his vision again.

"I'm not some kid, I can handle it."

"Shion. You actin' like this tells me you can't." His tone was stern now, going full on lecture. "Let me tell ya something about bein' a Turk. Turks follow orders. Turks deal with whatever is thrown their way, the right way. Turks are capable of handling torture and death. Turks are willing to give up their lives for the mission. And above all, the mission must be completed any way possible. You got that? You aren't even on a mission, you're on some sort of rage fueled revenge rampage. Ya got to calm the hell down."

Shion struggled more, turning his head away as if that would block the lecture from getting to him, he just wanted him to let go of him, so he could get away.

But the words did get at him, a bit, they made him angrier though. Because he would never be good enough, he was too angry to calm down and now Reno was mad at him and that was the last thing he wanted. He struggled even more, "I'm calm, let me do this."

"And do what?! You just went up against Ganondorf! And what did that get ya? Shit, Shion, I went up against him and I got my ass handed to me! You've got no chance accomplishing anything like that!" Reno was outright growling by now, and he was looking like he would pick Shion up and dump him in the pool again. Or something.

Shion kicked out again, wanting to get away, "I..." What was he trying to do, punish Ganondorf; how... when bullets didn't work against him and not even Reno could fight him...

The fight went out of Shion, he went limp in Reno's arms. Blinking and looking confused like he wasn't completely sure what had just happened. "Reno..."

The change surprised Reno, just a tiny bit. He blinked back at the boy, tilting his head. "Hey, Shion? You okay?"

The gun clattered to the floor, Shion realised he was covered in blood and his hands came up to clutch at Reno's clothes. "Reno... I..." He remembered shooting Ganondorf, everything that had happened crashing on him at once, his breath caught in his throat but he didn't cry.

He couldn't cry; not in front of Reno. "Reno... I'm sorry..."

Awkwardly patting his shoulder, Reno shrugged. "It's fine. But you kids are kinda crazy."

Shion wrapped his arms around him and pressed his face into his shoulder. "I know... I'm sorry."

He was trembling, he couldn't quite believe he had done that.

This was a nice, sentimental moment. Reno sighed, and started urging Shion to move. "Stop that and go get cleaned up. You're gettin' blood all over me."

Shion didn't want to move but he didn't want to anger Reno anymore either. He pulled away, "Sorry..." this time it was for the blood. The nearest bathroom was nearby and he turned the water on and got in fully dressed, he only had the one pair of clothes and they needed cleaned too. He sat down under the water, brought his knees up to his chin and cried now that the sound of the shower would muffle the sound of his sobs.

Wandering in after him, Reno stood next to the door and listened. The way Shion had left really bothered him, and it seemed to have been a good hunch when he heard the sounds of sobbing. "Shion? Why're you crying?"

Shion froze, he hadn't expected Reno to follow him, he had thought he would leave now that he knew Shion wouldn't do anything else stupid. He tried to gulp back his sobs, he had already screwed up he didn't want Reno think he was anymore of a kid than he already did.

"I'm sorry," his voice had sounded confident in his head, but out loud it was barely a whisper, choked with tears.

Slapping a hand to his forehead, Reno sighed. "Shion, it's all right... it was stupid and dangerous and a dumbass thing to do. But you're the bravest wingnut I've ever met. That's sayin' a lot. Now finish up in there, and meet me down in the gym. Ya can borrow some of my clothes if you need."

It took a few moments for the impact of the words to hit Shion... Reno didn't hate him. Even though Shion had messed up and Reno was angry he didn't hate him and he wasn't sending him away.

Not that there was any where to send him... But that wasn't the point. Shion's tears stopped and he began to calm down. He finished showering, scrubbing the blood out of his hair and then wrapped himself in towels and went back to his room. Reno's clothes were too big but Shion didn't have any spares so he put them on, rolling up the legs and sleeves and made his way down to the gym, calmer now.

Reno was down there, just as he had promised. There was a lot of things to be said about the guy, but he usually kept his word.

"I think we might need to change up your trainin' a bit..."
