01 Lost Kid in Hallway Alert!
Characters: Yamato and YOU
Setting: Hallways!
Format: You pick and I'll follow
Summary: Bitty Yamato wakes up in a decidedly unfamiliar place - and his first instinct is to wander about aimlessly trying not to panic.
Warnings: None for the moment, except bratty genius child alert
Yamato was barely managing to keep his indifferent expression up as he made his way through this strange place's hallways. His geta clacked loudly against the floor, and he held his hands up to his chest as if preparing to suddenly protect himself against an ambush. Hey, he had obviously been kidnapped, so an ambush was very likely to happen!
He was, to put it simply, very scared. He had never left his house before, never even went outside, and suddenly he is placed in an alien building with the news that his world had been destroyed? How could that be? He was raised to protect Japan so - what would his purpose be now? And where was Alcor? Had he been destroyed too? No...no he was too powerful for that! No doubt he would appear at any moment and take him back home, yes...
He just had to find him!
So if you're wandering the hallway, you may see a young child in a black and gold kimono, looking more than a little frightened and confused. Don't try to startle him, you might get a weak Agi singing your eyebrows off - or do startle him if you're mean enough, just to see could hit the ceiling.

"...yes," he replied after a pause, his hands still raised to his chest. His expression was very still and cold, his gaze intense as he stared up at the stranger. He didn't seem hostile, but... "Who are you?"
no subject
"My name's Jun Kurosu. Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you or anything..."
no subject
"...if you say so," Yamato said coolly, making it clear he didn't trust Jun in the slightest. "Tell me, what is this place? Who kidnapped me?"
no subject
"It's some sort of tower. No one really knows where it is, or how it works... You were brought here by the people that made this place-- Jason, Riki, and Dax, I beleive."
no subject
"I assume we can't leave the tower," Yamato murmured, looking down with a small frown. This was bad. He had to get back to resume his duties - he had no time to be playing prisoner and jailer with some psychotic kidnappers. Truly they must have too much time on their hands to make a prison for their games...

Yamato looked up, the frown still firmly in place. He seemed to size Jun up for a moment. "If you look hard enough, there will be an exit," he said simply. "Nothing is stronger than the human will."
no subject
"You think so...?" There was a thoughtful look on his face. "Tell me, who taught you that?"

He paused, looking back at Jun, his gaze becoming angry. "Even if they are becoming disgustingly stagnant now...there are days where I cannot see the goodness in man when they continue to be such corrupt fools."
He had seen great stupidity on humanity's part, and it did anger him to see how they favoured some people simply because they were born into the right family, or had the right enough money, being completely idle and lazy and utterly unworthy for their station in life while other, more competent people wallowed in poverty and misery. How was a system like that fair? The Hotsuin family were right when they said it needed to be corrected...
However Alcor still said that it was more than that, and for now Yamato was willing to withhold his judgement somewhat. Although humans responded to change easier when it was in the midst of a revolution - perhaps a more peaceful and subtle approach could be done. Alcor would be upset if Yamato began wildly changing the status quo, and no doubt it would weaken Japan to do such a thing foolishly. It would take time, and he probably wouldn't see society completely change before he died, but he was determined to at least begin the metamorphoses of a corrupt society.

It certainly wasn't Philemon at least."You shouldn't think so negatively of them... stagnant once, but something always happens to push them back into progress. Sometimes they'll even pull themselves out of it. The corrupt is never as numerous as the good-hearted."
no subject
"Hrn, if so, they are taking their time about it," Yamato said dismissively, turning his face away - although his gaze remained on Jun, so he glared at him from the corner of his eye. "The 'good-hearted' seem fewer than the idle incompetents."
no subject
"I can't deny the impression. But there are always people out there that are willing to do something if you give them the right push. It's just the push that might be the problem.

Simple as that, his smile gone in favor of the truest of true neutral expressions, as if he was talking about nothing more than the weather.

Yamato rocked back on his heels, his geta clacking against the floor from the movement. His eyes didn't leave Jun once, darkly intense yet thoughtful.
"I'm looking for someone," he said, dropping the subject. Might as well get to the important information...
no subject
His smile was back at least, when he answered. He wasn't sure if Alcor would like him using his real name, but he had a feeling that the kid would recognize that more than anything else.
no subject
"Yes. How do you know him."

Alcor never mentioned having friends before. From what Yamato gathered, Alcor only really interacted with him as far as humans went. Had he been lying...? Surely he couldn't have been in this tower for so long - Yamato only just got here, so...
"He never told me he had friends."
no subject
"Time seems to stand still around here, so it's not surprised you haven't heard of me."
no subject
Yes, Yamato is now ignoring you out of sulkiness. For all of his intelligence, he is still a child.
no subject
"Is something wrong?"
no subject
"I'm not sharing him!"
Damn straight he isn't!
no subject
Oh that.. wasn't the reaction he was expecting. Well then.
"Um, I'm not taking away any of your attention, if that's what you're worried about..."
no subject
"Good."
Pout pout pout pout pout pout!
