01 Lost Kid in Hallway Alert!

Summary: Bitty Yamato wakes up in a decidedly unfamiliar place - and his first instinct is to wander about aimlessly trying not to panic.
Warnings: None for the moment, except bratty genius child alert

Yamato was barely managing to keep his indifferent expression up as he made his way through this strange place's hallways. His geta clacked loudly against the floor, and he held his hands up to his chest as if preparing to suddenly protect himself against an ambush. Hey, he had obviously been kidnapped, so an ambush was very likely to happen!

He was, to put it simply, very scared. He had never left his house before, never even went outside, and suddenly he is placed in an alien building with the news that his world had been destroyed? How could that be? He was raised to protect Japan so - what would his purpose be now? And where was Alcor? Had he been destroyed too? No...no he was too powerful for that! No doubt he would appear at any moment and take him back home, yes...

He just had to find him!

So if you're wandering the hallway, you may see a young child in a black and gold kimono, looking more than a little frightened and confused. Don't try to startle him, you might get a weak Agi singing your eyebrows off - or do startle him if you're mean enough, just to see could hit the ceiling.

Yamato suddenly made a derisive noise. "There is no point saying his name, as he chooses a different one depending upon his mood. It is aggravating, to say the least..."

"Oh..." A strange person, "Perhaps you could tell me what he looks like instead?"

[bittydragon]

"Pale hair, white markings around his eyes, and he wears black and red striped shirt and shoes," Yamato listed off blandly. "He can also float and teleport."

Shion had seen a few people with pale hair, but no one matching that exact description. "I'm afraid I don't know anyone like that. I can help you look though if you wish."

Yamato grunted in disappointment before giving Shion a sharp, suspicious look, as if weighing him up. He had been beaten over the head about 'Stranger Danger', or more like, how unknown civilians can be dangerous towards children. Corruption and vileness of the character.

That sort of thing.

"Why?" he asked. "What do you get out of helping me?"

Shion blinked, "Nothing... You look lost and you're little..." And Shion liked helping people. Yamato's suspicion reminded him of Nezumi, when they were younger. "I'm a prisoner here too, I wont hurt you."

[bittydragon]

Yamato let out a disbelieving scoff. Right. Okay, he'll play along.

"...fine. You may direct me to a room that gathers a lot of foot traffic." He will be able to sit and wait, and Yamato was good at patience.

Shion gave a tiny smile at the tone but nodded, "The meadow is probably best, it is open and so you can see people coming through."

[bittydragon]

Yamato wrinkled his nose. "How is there a meadow within a tower?"

[savedbyasong]

"There are also two forests, workable farmland, a room that seems to be a bottomless pit..." Shion shook his head, "Try not to think about it too much, it doesn't obey the laws of physics."

And it makes his head hurt. So much.

"..............."

Okay. Fine. Whatever.

"So this tower is laden with magic."

[savedbyasong]

"I guess it must be magic, I know of no technology capable of the things I have seen." But he disliked just brushing things aside as magic, he still refuses to believe there isn't a scientific answer to everyting.

[bittydragon]

"It is magic," Yamato said a bit sharply, snapping a glare up at the man. "Although humanity has made many technological advances, the manipulation of space is something that is still beyond us. However," he calmed a little, "It is only a matter of time before we do possess such things..."

Shion nodded, though he knew this kids world was different than his, especially if he was accepting the existence of magic so readily.

"Your world is close to such discoveries?"

[bittydragon]

Yamato scoffed. "Hah! Not with the current society. A bunch of idle incompetents sit in positions that they do not deserve, and it stifles progression. Once society evolves, however, that is when we can advance."

[savedbyasong]

Suzaku listened, surprised that a child as young as this would critise those in power in his world, but not dismissing him just because he was so young.

"You believe that will happen soon?"

[bittydragon]

"Yes. I'll make it change," Yamato said. There was no determination in his voice. His tone was coldly matter-of-fact, as if this was already the truth.

Then he sighed. "Or rather, I was going to..." If it is true that his world has been destroyed...

Shion sort of believed him, he seemed sure of himself at least. But of course there was the fact the worlds had gone... "Perhaps if we ever escape you can help create a society here that is better than your own."

[bittydragon]

Yamato huffed. "Hrn...possibly."

Although he saw it difficult with the resources he had - which was none.

[savedbyasong]

Shion nodded, of course they were very far away from even knowing how to escape, or if there was anywhere to escape to. But he guessed thinking of the future was not a bad thing...

[bittydragon]

"In any case," Yamato said sharply, turning his attention back to Shion. "Show me to a place with high foot traffic."

[savedbyasong]

"Alright," the meadow it was then, Shion beckoned for him to follow and set off. The stair case goes through the whole tower, there are elevators but they only go to certain floors. So it is likely the person you are looking for will walk through the meadow at some point."

[bittydragon]

"I see. Is this 'meadow' safe?"

By the sounds of it, it should be outside. Yamato...very very very rarely ever went outside.

[savedbyasong]

"Yes, there might be a few small monsters but nothing I can't deal with. They aren't vicious in the day time anyways."

And Reno had been teaching him for months, he could deal with many of the monsters here.
