01 Lost Kid in Hallway Alert!

Summary: Bitty Yamato wakes up in a decidedly unfamiliar place - and his first instinct is to wander about aimlessly trying not to panic.
Warnings: None for the moment, except bratty genius child alert

Yamato was barely managing to keep his indifferent expression up as he made his way through this strange place's hallways. His geta clacked loudly against the floor, and he held his hands up to his chest as if preparing to suddenly protect himself against an ambush. Hey, he had obviously been kidnapped, so an ambush was very likely to happen!

He was, to put it simply, very scared. He had never left his house before, never even went outside, and suddenly he is placed in an alien building with the news that his world had been destroyed? How could that be? He was raised to protect Japan so - what would his purpose be now? And where was Alcor? Had he been destroyed too? No...no he was too powerful for that! No doubt he would appear at any moment and take him back home, yes...

He just had to find him!

So if you're wandering the hallway, you may see a young child in a black and gold kimono, looking more than a little frightened and confused. Don't try to startle him, you might get a weak Agi singing your eyebrows off - or do startle him if you're mean enough, just to see could hit the ceiling.

Ishtar hadn't gotten out long enough to meet many new people yet, so he could be around for all she knew. As of right now, the princess was uncertain on who that person was, though she remembered the description for now.

It wasn't surprising of he assumed that way, but the girl was the kind of person that was practically harmless to most people. She often did things that were helpful towards people rather than towards herself. She was at a disadvantage sometimes but she didn't mind. Ishtar waited patiently before he spoke again.

She indeed had long nails.

"Why? Well, I don't like to see anyone lost or alone," she replied softening her look, "It's kind of lonely when you're by yourself and in a place that could possibly be dangerous. I don't have any reason not to help someone like you," she finished.

Yamato stared at her, evaluating her words.

"You are helping me because of that simple reason?" he asked, sounding faintly disbelieving. Hm, well, he had read that human females were protective of children - and while Yamato regarded himself as an adult despite his young age, he could see how he could use that maternal instinct to his advantage...

Ishtar nodded her head.

"Yeah...pretty much. I mean did you think I would say something else?"

She mused with a small smile. It was that simple to Ishtar. She enjoyed helping people and she enjoyed being around kids. She didn't see why there would be a problem if she offered to help another boy. He could use it however he wanted to, seeing she would easily just go with it because of his small child like appearance.

"Yes. Usually assistance requires a payment of sort - or if they don't request one, they normally have an ulterior motive," Yamato said coldly. Really, he knew how the world worked, woman...

"Really, it does?" she blinked. Ishtar had not really thought about it a lot but it was the first time she was asked this question, "I don't have any reason to hurt children, and if I did, I'd be a low life. I hate low lives, picking on people who are weaker than them," she replied with a frown.

What a strange boy.

"I did not say harm, I said motive," Yamato said flatly. "Which means that I can fulfil some sort of use that you have planned...I will say it bluntly, I have no interest in women."

...yup. He did mean it like that.

"But you seem adamant that you are doing this out of the goodness of your heart, so I will believe you for now."

"Well, whatever. It's still kind of similar right but I can promise you, there's no motive behind this."

She replied nervously laughing. This child was a strange child and wait...what?

Ishtar didn't have any interest in doing those things with a kid either, so the feeling was mutual. She sighed as she recovered form the momentary shock of his words. She shook her head.

"Trust me, I really don't have that kind of interest. Cute little boys aren't really my thing, I can swear on that," she replied nervously laughing again, "but I'm glad that you believe me. I really just wanted to help you out," she chuckled a little, "I'm Ishtar by the way. What's your name?"

Yamato sized her up, but after a brief pause he turned his head away, appearing dismissive of her as he examined the nearby wall. "Yamato Hotsuin."

What a really strange kid. She just sighed and let that go. He might have grown up in maybe a different household than hers, so maybe formalities were not needed. Either way, she didn't seem to mind it too much or cared that he was quite dismissive.

"It's nice to meet you Yamamoto."

Yamato turned back to her then, frowning intensely, as if he was deeply offended by something. "Yamato. Not Yamamoto."

"Oh, sorry. I'm really bad at pronouncing foreign names...Ya..ma.to...right?" she replied laughing nervously. Oh, complicated names will be the end of her sometimes.

Yamato scrutinised her with narrowed eyes. Honestly, how difficult was it to say his name? It was rather simple... "Yes. Ya-ma-to. There are only three syllables and one 'ma' sound in it. Please remember that."

It was difficult for a ditzy girl sometimes. She was a little bit of an idiot and had her moments. She nodded her head lightly.

"I'll try to remember that so I won't say it wrong again," she chuckled deciding to just laugh it off.

Yamato nodded sharply. "Ishtar, do you know where there is high foot traffic in this tower?"

"High foot traffic? Like where it's busiest?" she mused not sure what he meant by that. He was a strangely sharp and well spoken boy. At least, for a small kid like him.

Yamato fought not to roll his eyes. "Yes. A place where it is busiest, as in, a popular place for the inhabitants of this tower to congregate. Do I need to be clearer?"

"There's the rooms, and the cafeteria. There are plenty of places in the living area that people are nearby," she replied with a small smile. Ishtar wasn't the smartest apple, so she had her moments, "That or the places with the computers. There is usually a lot of people on the terminals," she added softly.

"Computers?" Yamato wrinkled his nose. Those things? They were incredibly unreliable at best... although Alcor was pretty savvy with electronics, so he was most likely to be there. Maybe. Alcor didn't eat, so why on earth would he be in the cafeteria?

Crazy.

"Take me to the computer room."

"Yeah, Computers. They're located on a couple of floors around here," she replied with a nod of her head. Ishtar waited a moment for him to say something and when he did, she nodded her head. Child like people were pretty demanding weren't they? She softly laughed.

"Alright, let's go. I'll take you there," she replied.
