☆ Crumbling Routine
Characters: Alcor, Yamato, and kinda open to anyone who wants to gawk at Dadcor?
Setting: After this network post, Floor 3 Library
Format:capslock The most delicate and hand-picked "I will follow you"
Summary: Alcor is having what is akin to a panic attack at Yamato existing. Overprotectiveness engage!
Warnings: Given how emotional Alcor's been after the bodyswap, if you look at Yamato funny he might get up in your face. |D;
When he said he'd be "right there", he wasn't exaggerating. Alcor had teleported clear down from his room, despite his sulking, and right in to the library. Finding Yamato and Lucifer's chosen hadn't been difficult, but he'd probably have to apologize for being rude later- he didn't even say a word to Aleph before scooping Yamato up. Even if the child was bound to be upset by it (he was a Mature Adult after all), Saiduq couldn't bring himself to fuss and worry about such things. He just wanted to...hold him.
The more philosophical aspect of his mind wanted to debate how his form had taken to physical contact lately, but the thought was shoved clear out. Not the time. Deal with that later. Be a fussy dad-figure now.
"...Yamato Hotsuin."
No, he's not going to think about his death either. In fact, he's not going to think at all. Nothing else is important enough to distract him right now.

No, he's not going to think about his death either. In fact, he's not going to think at all. Nothing else is important enough to distract him right now.

No matter how many times he did it, he still felt woozy afterwards. Stupid human body.
"Does the tower hamper your teleportation skills?" Yamato grumbled, rubbing at his eye tiredly. He couldn't remember distance being an issue for Alcor when teleporting.

"I am afraid so. There are floors which make utilizing one's superhuman power is impossible, and I also get a sort of interference." He frowned, as if debating suddenly. "It also has impacted my combat abilities significantly. The only thing it truly has not altered is my ability to "fly"."
Then again, considering that was more of a personal state of gravity, it probably was harder to impact anyway.

They stepped into the bedroom, and Yamato slipped his hand from Alcor's and moved over to the bed that he had woken up from. He had to jump up a little to get onto it, and he frowned as he sat on the mattress. It was...firmer than his bed back in the Hotsuin Estate...

Alcor turned back to Yamato in time to notice his frown, tilting his head before...poofing off somewhere without warning. It didn't last long; he was almost immediately back, holding two things in his hands, the bulkier of which seemed to be another blanket.
"This may help."
The other thing was clenched in his palm, but he seemed to be waiting to bring it up.
no subject
Yamato squinted. "What's that?"
no subject
Alcor set the blanket down on the bed, before holding up a necklace. If Yamato tried, he could probably tell it was very faintly charged with magic.
"I was given this months back. But I would like you to have it. This way, I will be close to you, even when I am physically unable to be."
no subject
Stunned.
He blinked, then looked at Alcor, then back at the necklace, his expression one of slight uncertainty. Alcor was giving him something? A present? He knew what the definition of a present was, because demons like to be given presents during negotiations but - he had never been given one.
How did one react in this situation? He didn't know.
"Oh," he settled on saying. It sounded a bit weak to him though, and he desperately groped for something else to add on. "It has the Big Dipper on it."
God you're so dumb, Yamato.
no subject
They're both dumb. It's okay.
Alcor gently sat down on the bed next to Yamato, putting his hand on the boy's head and just smiling.
"If you ever need me, wish upon it. I will do all I can to get to you."
get it WISHING on a STAR oh i crack myself up

They were sort of leaping up and down like hyperactive Nue, up into his throat down his chest into his stomach and then stomping about until he wanted to curl up into a ball and lie there for days. He couldn't explain why, and he fidgeted with the sleeves of his kimono, the weight of Alcor's hand on his head just adding to the weird jumping Nue feelings.
"I-I see..."
no subject
"Ssshhhh..."
Saiduq dropped his hand from Yamato's head, curling it around his shoulder instead and humming softly. It wasn't really languaged humming, or any attempt at that- he was just trying to help soothe him so he could handle his own emotions.
Eventually though, it lapsed in to something more familiar- lilts up and down, something to the tune of 'It's okay'.
no subject
He lifted his sleeve up, rubbing his eyes, and then, hesitantly, hummed back - although it was a bit more lilting, higher pitched sounding than Alcor's.
"...ᶓʊѮʉʝʤʡ..."
