Must be dreaming, or...
Characters: Ishimaru and YOOOOU
Setting: A couple of places.
Format: Interpretive Dance. I mean, whichever one you want.
Summary: Another dazed and confused new arrival...
Warnings: Slight concussions and probably gross sobbing at least once.
The first thing he was aware of was a pounding headache.
The second was that he couldn't move... or had he just forgotten how? Whatever the problem was, it didn't last very long, and the young man finally brought a hand to his face with a quiet groan. He could hear the sound of paper crinkling as it pressed against his forehead, but it took him a few moments to realize he was holding it.
A note...? It was important somehow, he just knew it! If only the words would stop blurring as he tried to read them... There. Your world has been destroyed. I saved you. Let's all be happy here.
That... wasn't the note he was expecting, was it? No, there was something else more important. Something he'd forgotten. Of course, the note he did have was much more alarming. The world had been destroyed? When? How? What did that even mean? If he was here, there was no way the world was destroyed. That's all there was to it.
(His head was killing him...)
It wasn't until after he got out of bed that he realized that he had no idea where 'here' was. This room was nothing like his dorm at Hope's Peak Academy. Had he passed out and been brought somewhere else? He couldn't recall. All he knew was that he had to find a computer. One very specific laptop. It was... special somehow? A clue? He'd remember when he found it.
For now he stumbled around the dorm, dizzy but determined to get his bearings on his new surroundings.
---
The wisest thing would be to rest and relax until the headache was gone. Unfortunately, concussion or no, Ishimaru was kind of stubborn when he put his mind to something. He had located the trunk at the foot of his bed and dressed himself in one of the uniforms he found inside, feeling much more comfortable now that there was at least some familiarity around him.
He clutched both notes tightly in his hand as he roamed the halls, hoping that somehow... someone would reveal that this was all a prank. Or that he was dreaming. Or, at the very least, that he could find the special thing he was looking for and remember why it felt so urgent in the first place.
---
At some point, Ishimaru realized how hungry he was. Like he hadn't eaten in days. He'd been able to locate the cafeteria, and as bland and unappealing as the porridge he'd been given was, he was more than happy to fill his belly with anything. At least the hunger meant he was still alive and that this was all real, right?
The headache should have been enough proof in the first place. It almost made him too nauseous to eat, except his hunger won out in the end.

At this stage, all that is required is time. Do you prefer it cooked throughly, or still pink in the center?
[There's a used knife and a cutting board by the sink, and the counter could use some cleaning. Sakura's the kind of person who likes to take care of that sort of thing all at once, so pointing it out directly doesn't occur to her.]

[Especially since he doesn't even know if this Tower has any floss.
Meanwhile... he sees that mess on the counter. Small as it is, it's still there, and it's going to drive him nuts if he doesn't do anything about it. He checks drawers until he locates a cloth, and gets to work!]
no subject
I believe I can manage that without trouble.
[In that case, it looks like this side's well on its way to cooking through. Flip!]
Thank you.

Where does the food supply come from here? I witnessed somebody bring what looked like a deer in earlier... does that mean there is a way to get outside after all?
[Is it too much to hope...]

A method of leaving the tower alive has not yet been discovered. However, several of the floors mimic outdoor areas, and some are even open to the air... All are far too high up to jump from, but we are not enclosed.
no subject
I would very much like to see these floors later on! Ha ha ha, it feels as though it's been ages since I last breathed in fresh air! Even if there is no clear method of escape yet, we should count this as a blessing!
no subject
Floors thirty-two and thirty-three are safe, as long as you stay away from the edges. That part of the tower is... I cannot adequately describe it. It is an impressive sight.
no subject
[So there's at least 33 floors... Good to know. He's going to have his work for cut for him just trying to explore it all and commit it to memory.]
no subject
There are many unpleasant floors, that is true. What dangers are you presently aware of?
no subject
[That's... what he saw, right? It sounds like such an unreal thing to say, but he can't think of any other way to describe them. He begins searching the cupboards and drawers again, so he can put away the knife and board.]
There is an art gallery I should stay away from, and a dark room. Is that all?
no subject
Most floors have some element of danger. There is a forest on the lower floors far dangerous than the one on the islands, and a long spur of land above that you should never step out on. In order to reach the gymnasium, you must pass through either a roundabout route containing a thick maze, or a room full of unpleasant insects... They are harmless as long as you keep moving, should you wish to join me in the mornings.
no subject
It would be a pleasure to join you in the mornings, Oogami-kun! From the sound of things, keeping our bodies in sound condition will increase our chances of survival!
[Not that he's really worried about Sakura's odds of survival.]
no subject
[If only he knew.]
...Fetch me your plate, if you will.
no subject
...Let us not forget that the mind is also important!
[Says the guy who totally lost it that one time...]
If there are study materials available in this place, then I hope that you will join me in that sometimes as well!
no subject
[But why would he still care about studies? That sort of thing is... more or less useless in this kind of situation. Is he intent on this simply due to habit? ...Well, habit isn't necessarily a bad thing. If studying is what he must do to keep his head about him, she can't judge him for it.]
I believe there is a library on one of the floors. Would you like an assignment to complete?
