oo1 ♚ you promised me the world, but now what?
Characters: Ayaka Sajyou; open to all!
Setting: Various places in the Tower
Format: Prose, but I can switch to match yours!
Summary: A dazed Archetype isn't exactly happy about the world being destroyed.
Warnings: Angst - the good stuff! No real warnings, though, other than spoilers.
Room 2-17
Ayaka felt sick to her stomach as her eyes followed the text on the paper. Her hands shook, not wanting to believe a word that these people were saying. Had she really failed to save Saber? No, it couldn't be....
"You're lying! You're all lying!" Her voice rose and shook and she banged a fist on the night stand. She didn't want to cry, that was the last thing she wanted, but her eyes stung with tears.
The master rose from her bed and made her way to the trunk, opening it up. She should probably change out of the hospital gown. Once she was in her school uniform, she made her way out of her room.
Dorms / hallway
Ayaka's walk around the dorm areas wasn't exactly pleasant, since she kept having to lean against the wall for some body support. She was still dazed about the world being destroyed, so her movements were more sluggish than usual. She simply decided to lean against the wall, sliding down it until she was sitting on the floor.
"Saber..." She called out, expecting her servant to pop up and start his usual teasing, but he was gone. Gone from his own sanity and this world now. She closed her eyes gently, a sigh leaving her lips.
Cafeteria
Oatmeal, the meal they were suppose to consume on their arrival. Ayaka said nothing as she ate - no whining, no objections, not a peep from her. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Still, at least she had some food in her system.
She placed her spoon down for a quick minute and began to stare off into space for a bit.
Meadow
Where she wandered off to, she didn't know, but it was rather pretty. It was quiet, perfect for Ayaka, and she walked until she found a place to sit. She pulled her knees to her chest, sighing once more.
"Looks like my rescue mission is halted until I can get out of here," she said to herself, not even thinking that someone could be close by.

cafeteria.
Shadow just... couldn't have failed her.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught the sight of a rather average young girl, and to that, he froze. Finally, some people. Maybe this one knew something about this place.
"You. Who are you?"
Re: cafeteria.
"Ayaka Sajyou."
She answered him with a firm voice. "And you?"
no subject
It would also help if he could see ahead of him period, given that his eyes only barely reached the table. (Oops.)
"Shadow," he curtly told her, his ears perked and his attention solely devoted to her. "I require answers. I am not supposed to be here." His eyes narrowed thinly. "What do you know of this place?"
no subject
She was silent once more and she stared at him. So, he was new to this place too huh? She couldn't give much information other than what was given to her by letters that were laced with lies on a clean sheet of paper, but she would at least answer his question.
"I'm starting to think no one is suppose to be here. Apparently, our worlds have been destroyed and we've been saved." The scoff in Ayaka's voice could be heard. "Unfortunately, I cannot give much information since I'm new here."

[He stops when he sees the girl shuffling along. No way. Was she a trick of his tired eyes? Or some case of mistaken identity? He rubs at his eyes. She's still there, and she looks the same.]
[He slowly steps closer to her. It seems...miracles could happen, even for a guy with E-rank luck.]
Ayaka...Sajyou?
no subject
However, the voice caused her to open her eyes once her name hit her ears, and the girl looks up at him. ]
Lancer...?

Ayaka.
[He bends down, reaching out for her to give her a hug.]

It was an idle invitation to talk, not out of loneliness or boredom, but because he could give her some hope, the hope of being removed from time. If she didn't want to believe her world was destroyed, well, Enoch wouldn't fault her. He had a hard time believing it, himself, despite testimonies otherwise.

"You can call it that. A friend of mine needs saving." She fell silent once more until she found the courage to speak up again. "Is.... Is everything really gone?"
no subject
"I...don't know. I've heard people say they've visited their destroyed worlds, but another one noticed an inconsistency the others didn't..."
He trailed off uncertainly. He could leave it there, with an avenue of hope...but at the same time call Dax a liar when he didn't seem dishonest.
"...One of our overseers, though...doesn't seem the type to lie."

Dorms/Hallway
She's not sure what this girl's story is, but there's a brief flash of understanding. Hakuno was sure she felt the same way back when she first showed up, and so she approaches.]
They could still be here, you know. [She only knows of the one Saber here, but new people keep showing up now, maybe this girl's Saber is here, somewhere.] It's a big tower. Maybe you just haven't looked in the right place.
no subject
Even if he was here, he wouldn't be the person he was when I met him. [ She was a bit hopeful, though. Hopeful that maybe his old self was around. ]
Thank you, maybe he is here. I just wish I knew where he was if he is here.
no subject
[Everything about her interaction with that strange version of the girl who looks like her Saber was horrible in the beginning. To see someone who looked similar yet different, and acted way out of her usual character, was... pretty heartbreaking.]
What does he look like? I'll keep an eye out for anyone who matches his description.

Alternatively, squint at the girl spacing out further down the table. Whilst eating oatmeal. Honestly, with the tales he'd heard so far about this place, he had expected the residents to be less... absent-minded. He'd never seen someone so careless around a meal before since he'd been in Number Six. It wouldn't take that much effort to just reach across and steal it.
"Oi," He said, eventually. "I'm trying to work out if you're more dangerous than you look... or if you're just an airhead."
no subject
Instead, she continued eating, slightly ignoring him. Ayaka looked back up at him, raising an eyebrow.
"You're still here?"

When he saw the girl sitting nearby, looking so dispirited, he felt drawn toward her. He'd been much the same when he'd arrived. "Hello." He gave a small wave and made his way closer, his movements staggered and pained, but determined.
"I'm sorry for overhearing, but we have something in common. I'm on a rescue mission, too."
no subject
"It's fine, it was my own fault for talking out loud." She wondered if she should be talking about this, but...
"A friend of mine needs saving, that's why I can't waste too much time here..." Damn sister. Damn Priest. Damn Grail War.

"I've been trying to find out how I might get back, but I haven't learned anything useful yet. No one seems to know what to do." He pauses for a moment, still breathing hard. "There's someone at home who needs me to save them, too. I can't stay here." He has to save Sakura.
He offers her a smile, crooked but well-meant. "If I find anything out about going back, I'll tell you."

No. She did not recognize the voice. Was this going to be another thing like Hakuno? Another possible future master of hers? It was frustrating, all these different masters and servants...
Drawing in a breath, Saber turned and approached, stopping before the girl where she sat and looked down at her.]
I ask of you... are you my master?
no subject
There was something about her that reminded her of Saber... ]
I... I don't think so. Are you...? [ A Saber? Did she hear Ayaka? She really needed to stop talking out loud. ]

Are you alright..? [ A soft spoken voice greets her. ] I'm in a nearby room and I heard your yelling.

I... I-I'm sorry for disturbing you... But I'm a-alright.. Just angry I g-guess...

You just arrived, didn't you? I'm sorry to hear that you're upset, but there are so many others here just like yourself.
