02 - a wolf among sheep

Summary: Yamato is dressed up as an adorable lamb. He is downright psychotic with rage.
Warnings: He is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing. He has fangs. He will bite.



Yamato felt downright ridiculous as he slipped quietly into the cafeteria, looking about to make sure that it was empty. It had taken a stupid amount of time to slip this far without being detected, but it was better than someone seeing him dressed up as this- this-!

This lamb!

He was absolutely adorable! Cute! Cuddly! It was an outrage! He was a Hotsuin, and Hotsuin do not look adorable or anything of that nature! Yamato snarled quietly to himself, stepping further into the cafeteria. If he didn't need to eat, he would've just stayed under the bed for eternity!

It was bad enough going to that 'meeting' - where barely anything was solved except the candy collection. At least he could hide behind the other children there, but on his lonesome? No, if he was caught by himself, he would have to suffer being laughed at.

Total humiliation.

So someone find him and laugh at him already.

"That wasn't- yes," Yamato just gave up. "Yes, that's exactly it. I dislike sheep."

Romeo didn't know why he would dislike sheep, but it wasn't very nice of the bad people to do that to him. "It's okay Yamato, when we collect enough candy they will let you get changed." Their games never lasted forever after all.

[bittydragon]

Yamato grimaced. "And how long will that take? They could stretch this out for weeks..."

[myblueskies]

"I don't know... But we got to keep our spirits up okay!" He smiled again, trying to be encouraging.

[bittydragon]

Yamato gave Romeo a long, hard look.

"...why are you so happy all the time? I must admit, it's beginning to unnerve me a little."

[myblueskies]

Romeo blinked and then shrugged, "Because the bad people like it when we cry. So we got to keep our spirits up because then they lose. Things are easier when your spirits are up anyways!"

[bittydragon]

"Hmm...I see. So a form of psychological warfare, is it?" Yamato mused. He supposed that made sense. If their tormentors wished for despair and anger, then it would be vindictively satisfying to thwart them by instead exuding a facade of blissful happiness.

He regarded Romeo for a second. Maybe he underestimated this one. Perhaps he was just obfuscating stupidity.

Not underestimated too much; Romeo blinks as he didn't know what the words psychological warfare meant. He nodded though, "We can't let the bad people win. It's the most important thing!"

[bittydragon]

"Of course," Yamato nodded. Aaah, that meant he should stop kicking up a fuss about his embarrassing outfit, huh...

[myblueskies]

Romeo nodded and grabbed Yamato's hand, "So just keep your spirits up!" He pulled both of their hands up into the air, this was how you kept your spirits up; and if Yamato had never had friends before he might not know that!

Yamato blinked, looking startled when Romeo grabbed his hands and held them up high. U-Uh?! What??

"What...is this...?"

[myblueskies]

"This is how you keep your spirits up when you find it hard!" He smiled at him, "It works I promise!"

[bittydragon]

Yamato blinked in confusion. "Lifting...one's arms lifts the spirits...?"

The hell did that mean???

[myblueskies]

"Uhuh!" Romeo nodded and let go of his hand, "But you got to do it quickly! Like this watch!" He punched the air again with a smile.

Don't worry Yamato, you will get used to Romeo eventually.

[bittydragon]

"..."

Yamato frowned at Romeo, but after a pause he hesitantly copied the other boy, although his movements were slow as he lifted his hand in the air.

"Like, that?"

[myblueskies]

"Just like that!" Romeo grinned at him, "That's what you do whenever you feel sad okay!"

[bittydragon]

"Okay?"

Yamato didn't understand it. Strange civilians...

Romeo grinned wider and nodded again, "And then you can make sure the bad people never see you sad!"

[bittydragon]

"Right..."

Was it truly that simple? Yamato didn't feel any happier when lifting his hand up like that, but maybe he didn't do it right.

[myblueskies]

Romeo nodded, and then glad that he had instilled into Yamato the importance of keeping his spirit up grabbed his hand again, this time to pull him along. "Come on let's go get more candy!"

[bittydragon]

Yamato was beginning to get used to being randomly grabbed and dragged around, he realised. He only gave the slightest of flinches then. "Ah- where're we going for that?"

[myblueskies]

"All the floors! But we can start in the library, there's lots of books to hide candy behind!" Romeo grinned again and continued pulling him towards the stairs.

[bittydragon]

Oh, the library... that was okay. Yamato loved libraries, and he doubted they would bump into too many people there. But, Romeo was not...he did not appear to be a library person. Oh well, he couldn't complain.

"Alright, but - ah, don't walk so quickly!" Still in just geta, remember (not even an embarrassing lamb costume can make him not wear them)!

Romeo slowed down, Yamato would be surprised Romeo loved the library, he loved reading and he adored books.

His reading ability wasn't high, but he tried as hard as he could.
