Building mailboxes...for love!~

Characters: [au1] Rei Ayanami, Tohko Amano, and anyone else who wants to wander in!
Setting: Floor 15
Format: Prose, but we'll take action as well.
Summary: Having come up with a matchmaking scheme, Tohko and Rei start making mailboxes that they'll use in it. However, will they succeed?
Warnings: Rei might give players some nightmare fuel with her jaw, and there might be some injuries while making these things.

Tohko finally arrived at room fifteen, and caught her breath. Rei's ability to dislocate her jaw was creepy, but she thought she'd finally managed to get past that. Looking around the room, she saw that there were plenty of tools to help get the pair started with their mailboxes-lots of wood, nails, and a few hammers, as well as other materials and tools were scattered about the room. While Tohko wasn't used to physical labor, she promised herself that she'd do her best, and picked up a hammer, pondering how she should start.

"Yeah, you're right. It will be pretty fun to see who we'll help first!" Tohko picked up the remaining mailboxes, as she wasn't going to let Rei do all the work, and thought for a moment.

"How about down? After all, that is where most of these are going to go."

"Sure. Then you'll do half the floors and I'll do half the floors and we'll meet here again to see who gets done first?"

"Sure! That sounds like fun! I'll take the bottom floors, and you'll take the top floors. Whoever loses has to do whatever the winner wants them to do! Ready, and go!~" Tohko, all fired up for a challenge like this, spat the words out as quick as she could before running off downstairs. She was a little lucky: The places where she had to dump the books off where all nicely grouped together. The only bad thing was that she'd have to be fast, as Rei didn't have to go as far.

Rei nods, and then starts zipping upstairs. This would be something fun, at the very least.

Tohko ran as fast as she could, and finally made it to the library. She put a mailbox down where it was bound to be seen before dashing off again.

Rei's path takes her up to floor sixteen, an empty level. She stares into the abyss for a while, and then shrugs, tossing a mailbox into the darkness and hoping that it'll land intact.

Tohko quickly put a mailbox in the cafeteria, hoping that it wouldn't get dirty, before running to the dorms and putting a mailbox on each floor. Finished, Tohko began running back up.

[Rei's trip takes her through a number of floors, some of which she's not sure people would ever go to, but she still faithfully places each mailbox before running back to Floor 15.

Tohko ran as hard as she could, but in the end, she found Rei standing in the workshop, looking as happy as could be. Tohko sighed. "Alright, you won. What would you like me to do?"

Rei has to take a second to think about it.

"Oooh, I know! Let's have a competition looking for candy! I'd like you to have fun and collect more candy than I will!"

Tohko grinned. Only Rei could think of a competition where the winner had to have fun and collect the items.

"Alright then! Is there a time limit to this competition?"

"Hm...midnight tonight? Remember, as long as you have more candies!"

It says nothing about filling a quota...

"Alright then! I'll have fun gathering candy!" Tohko quickly searched the workroom, found five pieces, and ran off to find other pieces of candy. She wasn't worried about a quota-as long as she had more than Rei, she'd be fine.

Meanwhile, Rei has already left the room, going toward the other floors in search of more candy. She isn't satisfied with just finding it in a corner. She wants some more exciting way of finding her candy.

Tohko ran down the stairs, grabbing candy wherever she could find it. She had no idea if she would win, but..she was sure that she'd have fun.

[ooc: I have no problems ending it here, but what are we going to do about these mailboxes? Just leave them there, mention them in the network when it's up and running, what?]

Rei is having plenty of fun searching for candy. Being the person she is, she starts searching in the least obvious spots first

Tohko searched and searched, avoiding the more dangerous areas of the tower and grabbing every scrap of candy she could find.

I thought that they would be seperated, deliver their mailboxes, and meet up to see who won.
