Summary: Terezi is still wandering the Tower, and gets lost in the maze with Vriska. Joy! Maybe they will run into other people on the way?

[Terezi is going to go insane. She's been stuck in this maze with Vriska for twenty minutes, with no sign of reaching the exit. To make matters worse, Vriska is so annoying and her voice so grating that Terezi can't focus. Every attempt to lose her so far has been completely unsuccessful.]

Jegus, Vriska, shut up.

[Karkat doesn't quite hear the bickering from the girls until they're in view. Judging by his concentrated look and the pen in his hand, he was in the middle of something that was interrupted by their presence.

After all, it was perfectly normal to be highlighting steamy romance novels while wandering mazes, right????

The book promptly gets snapped shut, pen clicking to uselessness as he quickly stuffs it in his pocket and attempts to hide the book behind his back.]

Jegus fuck, what's with all the yelling?

[Oh goody. Just who she wanted to see. She rolls her eyes and waves her hand flippantly towards Terezi.]

Pyrope here is lost. I don't know whyyyyyyyy she thought it was a good idea to navigate a maze that she can't even see, but nobody said she was smart!

[Oh look, another cerulean blood.

...She'll take it. And also pap Vriska on the back of the head.]

[Watching...this and squinting. Maybe he can get something out of this -- better test the waters.]

[Ugh, shoving her hand into Terezi's face in retaliation.]

She's lost. I'm the one who is getting us out of here.

[Snapping at her hand!]

[oh man, this is awkward. he gently makes shooshing motions, waving his hands downward, book clasped in one hand.]

I'm sure we can work this out, yeah?

[That stops Vriska in her fucking tracks, and she yanks her hand away from Terezi. Is he playing auspistice? Whoa. Whoa.

No. She is not black for Terezi they don't need a meddler.]

What are you talking about? There's absolutely nothing to work out!

[Terezi is shooting him the most disgusted look she can manage.]

[OH SHIT BUSTED???? QUICK, DAMAGE CONTROL]

What??? I meant the maze, jegus fuck. Don't look at me like that.

[Glaring at him. She doesn't believe that for a second.]

That doesn't even make sense! But whatever.

[Okay, find something to change the subject to. Her eyes slide to the book.]

Are you seriously walking around a maze reading a book? Laaaaaaaame!

[Terezi tilts her head, taking a step closer.]

What kind of book?

[wow nope, how did this become about him??? casually moving it out of view again and pretending he didn't hear Terezi.]

What the hell else do you do in a maze?

[Vriska slides closer, suddenly predatory. Ignoring his question in favor of joining Terezi's inquiry.]

What are you reading? Don't tell me it's something embarrassing!

Find the way out, stupid.

[She makes a grab for the book.]

[N O P E sliiiiding backwards. DEFINITELY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE WANTED.]

Easy on the goods, alright?

[Vriska rounds him on the other side to try snatching at it too.]

Must be pretty bad if you don't want to show it!

[Terezi giggles at Karkat, trying to grab one arm to make it easier for Vriska to snatch the book.]

Come on, we just want to see it!

He tries to back up out of the way, but Terezi's and Vriska's hands make it first. Karkat pales considerably.]

What the fuck--are you actually serious??? Back off!!

[Vriska plucks the book from his hands and flutters out of reach, grinning victoriously as she dangles it in front of him. Then she flips it open and scans a few pages.

........Cracking. Up.]

Oh my god, you can't be serious, Vantas. Pyrope, come get a look at this.

[Deadpan:] I can't.

WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON, TEREZI???

[Trying to jerk his arm out of Terezi's grip to snatch the book back, baring tiny fangs.]

[Rolling her eyes.]

Look, lick, whatever! You know what I mean, Terezi.

[She drifts further out of reach, grinning.]

I can't believe you read crap like this. This is soooooooo embarrassing!

[Terezi seems to realize, suddenly, that she is acting like she's on Vriska's side, and her expression hardens. She drops Karkat's arm and plants her hands on her hips.]

My side. Stop being so smug, Vriska. No one is impressed!

[Promptly darting from Terezi's grip to dive at Vriska in the air -- he'll grab whatever he can reach and proceed to try and claw his way up to the book.]
