[Awakening in the Tower only startled Feferi for perhaps... a moment. In fact, upon reading the note she was left, she breathed a heavy sigh of almost relief. Her home was gone, destroyed, and with it the caste system, her lusus, all her duties and responsibilities....

It was time to explore!

She checked through her chest with delight, attaching her sylladex and strife specibus, decorating her odd squishy sleeping area with blankets and pillows from home, along with several adorable plushies from who knows where, setting her aquarium on top of the chest only to stop....
And realize she wasn't underwater.
She was on land.
Dry.
Land.
Newly invigorated and excited, Feferi burst out of her room, practically dancing with joy, colorful skirts swirling around her.
It was a whole new world, and it was all within her grasp!]

[Look Jade! You shouldn't be afraid of him because he's a giant loser right now.]

[Dave notices Jade's reluctance and gently grabs her wrist.]

Don't be shy. Follow my lead.

[He grasps both of her hands and starts leading her into a simple yet totally cool rave dance.]

[ She looks at him carefully, trying to judge if he's being sincere or not -- and once she deems that he is, she relaxes and follows his moves. It's pretty fun to dance, she thinks. Kind of nice. ]

[Excuse the fairy-girl just flying through- she's doing the whole 'let's glow-pulse in time with the beat' thing for the hell of it.

Heck yeah.]

[Dave's leading Jade through some sick beats, ill moves, the works. He's got a smirk on his face, this is actually... fun. Best spontaneous rave party ever.

He notices Aradia coming in and nods in greeting and approval.]

More troll girls, awesome.

[He is so not unhanding Karkat, but he also lifts a hand and waves to Aradia and then Feferi] Hey, aa, ff! Help me get thith guy to have thome fun, will you?

[She's gonna giggle, dancing on over to grab Karkat by the arm.]

C'mon Crabsnack!

[Since Karkat already has a troll on each arm, she's just going to ruffle his hair as she twirls by, laughing.]

Lighten up! We should have some fun while we can!

[ Jade watches Aradia with a sort of awe. She seems so cool.......
But then she turns her attention back to Dave and smiles. ]

You're a really good dancer.

[RAGE. GROWING. ARMS FLAILING.

Oh fuck he can't even.]

Who the fuck said I wanted to have fun?! This is mutiny, you hear me?!?

[One glare at Sollux, one glare at Feferi, and a passing scathing glance at Aradia for ruffling his hair. Why did she ruffle his goddamn hair?!]

Tough shit, Vantath! You're having fun whether you like it or not. [After all, what are frienemeies for?]

[Dave gives Jade a bit of a twirl.]

[ Jade actually manages a giggle at Karkat's horrible dance maneuvers, and nods at Dave's suggestion. The dance she creates is a little bit silly but very much Jade, awkward angles that seem to have some sort of ridiculous grace to them, even while being a little weird. ]

Is this okay?

Ohhh, I liked the other one...!

[She droops a little, but soon enough, she's twirling again, on the floor now, and bumps Karkat with her shoulder as she passes.]

Come on Karkat- just for a little while..!

[Another twist and she sneaks between him and Sollux, tugging their leader out of his grip.]

[Dave gives a small nod to Jade.]

That's perfect. It fits you, Jade.

[He joins her dancing, following her lead and looking a little silly but enjoying it nonetheless. He glances back at Aradia.]

I'll take requests if you want a different groove.

[There's a roll of his eyes at his friends incessant need to see him flail like a heaving ragdoll, but he does finally cave with Aradia's "please".]

Oh for fuck's sake, if it will please you that much to see me writhe like a beached mollusk, fine.

[He looks to the side and awkwardly, subtly, pivots from side to side. Annoyance becomes embarrassment. This is incredibly stupid.]

[referring to the song lyrics he can catch,] What the fuck are "daisy dukes" anyway?
