005 → Working the midnight shift
Characters: Wriggle Nightbug, Open
Setting: 21st October onwards, Any non-restricted floor (please specify in comments)
Format: Post in action, tags in prose or action
Summary: After being unable to fufill the candy quota asked of her Wriggle has come back in the same twisted fashion as everyone else. She refuses to let anyone else fall victim to such a traumatic death, by any means possible.
Warnings: Possibility of character death
Anywhere before 7:59pm
[It was somewhat of a relief, not having to worry about finding enough sweets before the deadline. They'd modified her costume, even though it was no longer tight the fact that it was made from a large number of dead insects troubled her. The tower seemed to like taunting her like that. Even if Wriggle could be a little slow she was not stupid and it was pretty clear to her what they were trying to say. They wanted her dead, right?
Or... hadn't they already gotten their wish?
She could remember it all. The pain in her chest as her ribs punctured her lungs and the struggle to breath as the collar of her costume choked her, not finding the air to scream as her joints snapped and fractured. For once in her life she wished her broken memory might have been a blessing.
No one deserved to go through that though, no one. If that was the punishment for not collecting enough candy then Wriggle swore that she wouldn't let that happen to anyone else. Even if she was nothing but a ghost now she promised herself that she would be a benevolent one]
Hey! How much candy do you have? I can help you look if you need more!
Anywhere after 8:00pm
[As much as she tried to push them to the back of her mind the thoughts just kept coming back. She was used to coming across dead insects, they didn't live that long after all but was it really that traumatic? Surely not, surely a quick painless death would be forgiving. No one deserved to be tortured like that, the way that so many others seemed to have fallen victim to.
There wasn't much other choice though.
She promised herself that she would be a benevolent ghost, that she wouldn't let anyone fall victim to the same fate that she did. If the only way to do it was to beat the tower at it's own game then so be it. She drifted through the halls, drawn to those being crushed by their failure, hoping to give them release]

earlier in the day!

Are you sure? Do you have enough candy then?
sorry, this tag never made it to my inbox :(
[ Try as much as she wants, she can never appear as intimidating as her words. ] What about yourself?
It's okay, don't worry about it!
It's okay, I don't need to find any anymore...
[Suddenly she perks up a little]
So that means I should help the people that don't, right? Do you know anyone like that?

But dying was awful! I don't want that to happen to anyone else!
After 8
One of the warped, like him, out so late...? Could it really be any good? ...But since he doesn't know whether she's sinned or not, it's best to avoid jumping to conclusions.*
The day will end soon... *With an implication of Why are you out so late?*
no subject
I know it will, I need to help them...
no subject
You're trying to help the people who are still looking for candy? That's kind of you.
no subject
Unfortunately I think it's too late for some of them. I had trouble finding candy for them today... but I'm not going to let them suffer either!
no subject
And how do you plan to help them?
no subject
If there's no hope for them, it's better to die quickly and painlessly than get crushed in agony.

*So far...nothing Enoch wouldn't have normally said. But beneath the ordinariness of his responses is preparation to need to strike, to kill.*

Before 7:59
And where do you think you're gonna get more candy to "help" these people, huh?
Before 7:59
I don't know, where ever I can find it. I'll fight monsters if I have to!
no subject
She hefted her shield up in front of her, as if ready to bash someone's head in, and narrowed her eyes along with the drop in tone of her voice.]
I don't think so; you better stay away from them, or I'll make you stay away.
no subject
Don't worry, I can take care of myself! I've fought them before.
no subject
That's pretty cool for you I guess, isn't it? But what the fuck are they supposed to do when you come running around, with your self-righteous crusade, huh? You think it's cool to pick on things weaker than you? Pick 'em off like they're just little ants?
no subject
And most of the monsters are bigger and more aggressive than I am! It's not my fault I have to defend myself!

I've got enough. More importantly, shouldn't ya be worrying about yourself?
before 7:59
Even if you don't need help do you know anyone who does?

Doesn't mean we can't help as many as possible! You should help out too!
no subject
[She points at Wriggle at the word "this" before stuffing her hand into a pocket, pulling out a candy.]
The only ones who might've been worth helping are already dead, so why worry about the rest of 'em? It's just gonna make things harder on ya in the end.
[She pops the candy into her mouth, continuing.]
Or maybe they'll just turn around and kill ya again after you've helped them. You're a threat to them as much as anyone, y'know.
no subject
I won't let them go through the same thing I did! No one should die like that!
And you can't kill a ghost, stupid!
