but everyone should know

Characters: Fenris ([livejournal.com profile] freewolfmoon) and OPEN.
Setting: Earlier today in and around room 2-04 in the dormitories.
Format: Whichever!
Summary: Fenris wakes up after arriving. He isn't happy.
Warnings: Nothing so far.

He doesn't know how long he sits awkwardly curled on the bed, his fingers curled around the collar on his neck, emotion he still, after all this time, doesn't understand how to deal with running high through him. It's an effort to read the letter: part of him is insisting he should forget he even knows how to read in the first place, accept the return of his old fate. The past nine years were a pleasant dream, but they're over. Hawke isn't here to defend him. He should...

He shouldn't be thinking that way. He knows better, now.

Fenris reads the letter, checks the trunk at the foot of the bed (his armor, good; this joke of a sword, not even four feet long, that he was either going to sell or give to Aveline for a laugh, not good), and grimly strips out of the strange white thing to change into his rediscovered armor. Then he slams open the door and strides out into the hallway.

His voice, raised not quite to a yell, echoes with level, seething calm down the halls. "You collar me and ask me to be happy. The days when I would have obeyed you are long over."

He lifts the sword, and when he speaks again, some of the calm is starting to seep out of his voice. "Vishante kaffar. Come at me and fight, if you wish to take me!"

Chiaki's hands lowered as well, though only slightly. She was still wasn't trusting of someone with a weapon and tattoos...tattoos which seemed awfully familiar from somewhere. But where?

"At least you aren't a mindless killer," she muttered, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves.

Fenris wasn't giving Chiaki any particular reason to simply stand there and accept that he was harmless. Spiked armor, strange tattoos, and that large sword were not reassuring.

"Unfortunately, I have not found a name for this realm. I do know...that everyone here who came from another world, their world is gone."

"They have gathered beings that might seem foreign to us, or told in fairy tales, as well as other humans." she explains further. "On top of that, they seem to insist that the destruction of our worlds is possible...Even if it isn't true, no one thus far possesses the ability to disprove their claims."
