FOURTH FLOOR

[One of the great hunters of Alternia is crouched behind a couch. Windows are wonderful things, she decided, watching the room behind her in the mirror's reflection. Hidden from the immediate eyes of those behind her, she readies herself for a springing leap and the first person that ventures close to be only slightly more than a smudge of colors in the reflection gets leapt at.

[She is busy being a chicken about stepping off onto this floor. It's daytime. Daytime and suntime.

Nepeta is a friend of mine, like I assume Dolorosa is a friend of yours. While you are the second to call me suck I regret to inform you that I am not her. I'm actually Kanaya.

[She is just going to chill in the doorway, watching Kanaya and itching to bound out and hug her and inspect her for other Dolorosa like qualities]

I believe that the sun here isn't as strong as the one on Alternia, you can enter without fear of consequences. Even I can feel the difference and I enjoyed the Alternian sun.

If you look like Nepeta, Psiioniic looks like Sollux, apparently there was another troll Sufferer who was like Karkat, and I am similar to Dolorosa, maybe we are descendants. Did you know a Mindfang? That is Vriska's ancestor. While highly unlikely, it still could be possible.

[Kanaya takes the inspection in stride] Who is he?

...Descendants? I don't...recall ever having one? [WHAT ARE DESCENDANTS. You weird little trolls] I have not met a person by that name but it's possible I did not know their name...

[She draws up short and smiles sort of sadly] The Sufferer. Signless. He would have been interested in meeting you...So very much like Dolorosa.

Well if they are after your time then you wouldn't know them. But it's possible that you and Nepeta were made from the same genetic material, and the same goes for Dolorosa and myself. But again, I don't know how likely the whole thing is.

Were he and Dolorosa close? I was told she raised him. It's almost like Earth relationships, between a mother and son.

Very close. And she was very kind. She raised him and helped him become the man he was...[Permanent wistfulness] She was taken away when he was killed.

Death means very little here. I should be dead, there are others who have died and are here regardless. People who die here do not stay dead either. It is rather interesting, in a morbid way. I wonder if we have a limited number of lives here.

I believe Nepeta's lusus was also feline.

[She smiled and shook her head. Having hope in such a thing would only hurt more...She knew he was dead. She doubted she would see Dolorosa again]

I see... I hope I get to meet Nepeta at some point! I'm sure we would get along very well.

I am sure you will meet her eventually. She's a bit short and wears a blue hat and green jacket. Hopefully she is still here. She arrived a while ago, then disappeared, then showed up again without memory of her previous time here. So far she is the only case of that.

My green I assume? She is my descendant and you wear Dolorosa's green.

He would know more about her? Or perhaps Signless would, if he shows up. I know you don't believe that he will, but it is possible.

Just different things I guess--[Her smile thins and she looks away] Dolorosa would know best and was probably alive. I think I was the only one sentenced to execution besides him.

Why were you sentenced to execution?

Signless led a rebellion against the Empress. Well...it was more that what he did was rebellious, speaking against the hemospectrum and killing everyone beneath you. I was his...well they gave me the name Disiciple for a reason. I was supposed to be executed next as a an example.

He led a rebellion. Yes, Signless should talk to Feferi, their ideals are very similar even if she is at the top of the hemospectrum. If it is any comfort Feferi is next in line to be Empress. I'm sorry he was executed.
