Characters: AU!Sora and YOU
Setting: Around the Tower
Format: Starting in commentspam, but I will shift
Summary: Kairi is missing, and not even his bouncy new pet can calm him down. He is angry and on a rampage.
Warnings: Violence is a big thing likely to happen.
[Kairi is missing. He's scoured the tower again and again, and his panic had begun to give way to rage. The Tower has taken her from him--the biggest positive in his life since childhood. Maybe it wasn't the same Kairi, maybe they were from different universes. But that doesn't matter. She's still gone, and now he's angry. And how does someone with a generally unhealthy way of dealing with things deal with anger? He gets destructive.
So he's currently walking around the tower, Keyblade out, looking for Kairi or something to break.]

"Pardon me, but is everything alright?"
no subject
"This place took her away. So of course I'm not okay."
no subject
I'm so sorry for this.
"...But hey. I guess I can do something about it, right?"
Don't worry about it! It's alright!
"O-of course you can! You can remember her as a good friend, but keep moving on. You can make new friends and try to figure out where your friend went so that you can make plans to see her again."
The 'her' was just a random guess on Tohko's part. She got ready to run at any moment.

Wait. That much darkness, in a Sora? ... is this the one that he stumbled across when the Shadows were out and about? If that was the case, then this might not turn out so well.
The fact that his Keyblade is out isn't boding well, either. What happened this time?
Might as well ask. Wondering will get him nowhere.] Something happen?
[Stupid question, Terra.]
no subject
[Sorry, Terra. This isn't the Sora you know. there's probably a faint scent of Xehanort all around him, given prolonged contact!]
no subject
The traces of Xehanort's darkness are harder to detect; he doesn't really deal in scents like Riku or Zexion. But those traces don't feel like they're part of Sora.
Thank goodness for small favors.
Pausing, and looking... almost like he gets it.] ... I'm sorry; I know how much it hurts to lose a loved one.
[Rage from grief... a dangerous place to be, but the presence of Sora's Keyblade now makes more sense.
The urge to break something must be pretty high.]
no subject
You can't possibly know what it's like to lose one of the only two people who've been there for you!
[It's a snap, and probably the boat load of abandonment issues combined with the pain talking. But yeah, he's not even stopping to consider that maybe someone could know his pain.]
no subject
His words are blunt, meant to hopefully get Sora thinking again and listening instead of blindly lashing out in anger and grief.] It feels like a hole has been ripped inside of you, right? Something dark, ugly, and worst of all, empty. Because the person that should be here is gone, and it's not fair. So you'll tear the worlds apart to find them. Am I close?
[That hard look softens a little, and and he feels like he should elaborate.] When I was five, my birth parents were killed as our home burned around us. Fourteen years later, I had to watch the man that took me and raised me as his own get stabbed in the back by someone that he considered a brother to him, watch my home get ripped apart, and hear him threaten to kill the last two members of my family and nearly carry it out.
[He closes his eyes and takes a breath to steady himself, lest he become angry himself. When he opens his eyes again, his gaze falls right back on Sora.] I know it's easier to be angry and lash out at anyone that makes themselves a target, but that isn't going to help anyone. You won't feel better afterwards.
It won't bring your friend back, either. [Because it really has to be said.]
no subject
Who knows? If I break enough people... Then maybe they'll bring her back as a reward.
no subject
[Because seriously, if you go about trying to hurt people just because you're hurting? He'll have to stop you. And he doesn't want it to come to that.]
no subject
[This is how he deals with things, Terra. Blame his dad for encouraging it since he was young.]
no subject
Eventually, he just sighs again, and levels an 'are you sure you want to do this?' look at him.] You're making a mistake. But if that's the way it's going to be...
[While his body language remains casual, he's standing squarely in your path if you want to move on.] If you want to try it, you'll have to get past me.
[Something in his tone says that he is not looking forward to this for whatever reason.]
no subject
His eyes flick to the keyblade, then Darkra's face.]
What's on your mind?
no subject
and he knows you can kick his ass.]...Kairi's gone. This stupid place took her away.
no subject
I'm sorry to hear that... but you seem to be handling yourself well.
[There's a fond shoulder squeeze too. It's your lucky day.]
no subject
[He's still itching to destroy--to break things and especially people so someone will feel just as bad as he does.]
no subject
Perhaps something for you to unleash that power upon would not be amiss?
no subject
[He's going to just. Rest his head on your chest because he's hurting and tired and you are Papa.]
...Why does losing people hurt?
no subject
no subject
[Too many people have hurt him. He's not sure if he wants to continue with that risk now. And right now? Xehanort is actually the only person who's been entirely consistent in his life that he can turn to.]
no subject
Some people feel the need to try to share themselves. They believe that the more hearts theirs touches, the bigger their legacy and the stronger they become. As long as at least even one person who remembers them lives, so do they... and thus they share themselves, and open themselves to others.
A quaint, archaic belief. It's simply a matter of perception. They believe it, and so they trick themselves into thinking it.
no subject
...So is there really any difference between seeking simple companionship and, well, seeking to leave behind a legacy? I mean... There has to be a difference, right? Isn't it natural to seek come kind of companionship?
no subject
As physical beings we're a social species, drawn to band together out of instinctive desire for protection and for potential mates, and the sort of mental well-being that social creatures need. The notion of "legacy" is a bit different... through the passing on of genes, assuredly. The social sort of legacy is in memory, in songs and stories and fondness. Those who do grand deeds and affect many lives live on in that fashion, even if they have no biological heirs.
no subject
[This kind of area isn't his strong point. But he does... Feel better, he guesses.]
...Thanks, Dad. I think I've calmed down a lot.
[For now.]
no subject
no subject
[They are NOT TAKING NAMINE. 8| ]
...Still. Thanks.
no subject
Think nothing of it, my boy. I've told you that my door is always open to you.
no subject
Awoo?
[Something felt off, though... and what was with that giant key-thing? He tilted his head before cautiously approaching. R U OK little hooman?]
no subject
You a monster?
no subject
no subject
[Know he'll squat down and scratch behind your ears. It's a welcome distraction.]
no subject
[Oh, ear scratches. He likes those 8D]
no subject
...And then, quite suddenly, he's going to hug you.]
no subject
That's why he didn't react in a bad way, merely let the strange boy hug him with nothing but patience and a quiet understanding. Had he lost someone...?]
'roo... [Have a nuzzle, bitty hooman. ;;]

no subject
Hey, what's the problem?
no subject
[And he's pissed about it.]
no subject
Is this going to solve anything about that?
no subject
[It's chilling logic from him, but it makes sense in his eyes. This place likes to fuck with people, right?]
no subject
[sorry kid, Big Bro Mode is now on. firm hand on shoulder.]
--that's NOT the answer. Do you really think your friend would want you doing something like that? Whether it brings them back or not?
no subject
[He's angry and desperate and hurting. And he just wants some relief from that. Add onto that a few dozen issues with being abandoned and never wanting to feel like that again? And you have a ticking time bomb.]
no subject
no subject
Kairi's gone.
no subject
no subject
[And it's making him feel all sorts of bad things.]
