(no subject)

Characters: AU!Sora and YOU
Setting: Around the Tower
Format: Starting in commentspam, but I will shift
Summary: Kairi is missing, and not even his bouncy new pet can calm him down. He is angry and on a rampage.
Warnings: Violence is a big thing likely to happen.

[Kairi is missing. He's scoured the tower again and again, and his panic had begun to give way to rage. The Tower has taken her from him--the biggest positive in his life since childhood. Maybe it wasn't the same Kairi, maybe they were from different universes. But that doesn't matter. She's still gone, and now he's angry. And how does someone with a generally unhealthy way of dealing with things deal with anger? He gets destructive.

So he's currently walking around the tower, Keyblade out, looking for Kairi or something to break.]

Not many would turn their feelings to power, to ride the wave in the fashion that you do. You've come much farther than any of the others could ever hope to do so... [another squeeze dawww]

Perhaps something for you to unleash that power upon would not be amiss?

Letting individuals in like that is allowing small weaknesses in the heart... willingly, of course. Thus, when they are suddenly gone, there is little protection for what comes in the wake of their departure. For most, it is simply crippling depression... only a few can derive strength from it and use that to carry on.

[His hand moves across Darkra's back now, an attempt to press him closer.]

Some people feel the need to try to share themselves. They believe that the more hearts theirs touches, the bigger their legacy and the stronger they become. As long as at least even one person who remembers them lives, so do they... and thus they share themselves, and open themselves to others.

A quaint, archaic belief. It's simply a matter of perception. They believe it, and so they trick themselves into thinking it.

[Being old has its advantages, after all. And yes, good Darkra, come here. The other hand gestures a little bit, but he still keeps the boy close.]

As physical beings we're a social species, drawn to band together out of instinctive desire for protection and for potential mates, and the sort of mental well-being that social creatures need. The notion of "legacy" is a bit different... through the passing on of genes, assuredly. The social sort of legacy is in memory, in songs and stories and fondness. Those who do grand deeds and affect many lives live on in that fashion, even if they have no biological heirs.

If you're certain. A bit of a jaunt through monster-infested areas to help clear up lingering doubts may help as well. Turn those emotions into power, the power to keep the others who remain here with you.

[Both hands go to brace Sora's shoulders now, an almost fond smile crossing the older man's face.]

Think nothing of it, my boy. I've told you that my door is always open to you.
