Summary: Lucifer is pissy about the Halloween event and decides he needs to assert himself. Through horrible horrible violence. Likeminded folks follow suit.
Warnings: Violence, demon battles, possible death, assholish destruction of areas

[OOC: All fights will have their own threads. State where the fight is taking place and who all is fighting if it's a group coming against Lucifer so we can set up a tag order.]

[Lancer notices, and tries to dodge. Unfortunately, since he had been tugging hard at his spear and leaned further back to dodge, he can't maintain his balance and falls on his butt.]

[Excuse him for a moment. Lucifer will just have a good laugh at that, throwing his head back and all.

But he's also backing up for a moment. Usually, he wouldn't mind taking advantage and attacking an opponent who might be prone. But it's too soon into the fight to do that, even in his mind.

Instead, he'll go back to being a snide bastard, motioning with his hands in a "come on" motion.

He's waiting Lancer. Let's go again.]

[He jumps up from the ground, growling a bit in irritation. Even if he was a hero, he couldn't land on his feet all the time. He stares at the man for a second, wondering why his opponent had backed up instead of pressing the attack. When he sees the invitation to attack again, he takes it without hesitating.]

[This time, it's a series of four or five strikes aimed at different parts of the blonde man's body. The speed has also increased from last time.]

[Faster, but still not beyond Lucifer's ability to see. He dodges the blows, though each is closer than the last.

But the final strike? Does hit, piercing into his leg. And the amount of pain surprises him. And in a way, delights him. Under normal circumstances he could be hurt, but not like this. This was true pain.

And that meant one of two things: either the weapon was legendary, and/or the weapon's wielder was.

His face locked between smiling and gritting his teeth in pain, Lucifer increases his own speed, aiming a palm strike, hard, at Lancer's chest. And it isn't with a normal hand this time, but a claw, dark and cruel and with an odd dark blue tint to it.]

Your name.

[His voice is conversational, almost pleasant.]

Tell me: what's your actual name. Or your spear's.

[Lancer steps to the side, but can't dodge the claw completely. It tears a painful gash into his chest. But he's still smiling. It's exciting to finally get such a strong opponent.]

[He breaks off his attack for a moment.]

My name, huh? Well, you can call me Lancer. As for my weapon, maybe you'll be able to hear its name if you listen closely enough.

[Like the blonde man, his tone is casual and conversational.]

Lucifer smiles and, for a moment, his teeth seem almost like fangs before reverting again.]

As you'd told me before. Although I'd hoped we could have been done with titles at this point.

[He's tested you at melee. Now it's time to see how you do in a ranged fight. He's there for the moment and then in an instant Lucifer is gone, having teleported a bit aways, though still in plain view of Lancer.]

But I suppose I'll make sure to keep my ear open, then. I pride myself on not missing anything.

[He extends his hand, and a large ball of flame erupts from it, hurtling towards Lancer.]

Agidyne.

[Lancer doesn't seem intimidated by the fangs, though he notices them.]

I've got my reasons for using a title.

[He takes a step forward to catch up to his opponent, but stops when he notices the fireball, He's barely able to draw a rune that shields him from the brunt of the flame, though the cinders do manage to singe the ends of the fur lining his armor. He also has to squeeze his eyes closed because of the intense light.]

As do I. I had merely hoped we might do away with them.

[That did a bit less than Lucifer had intended, but it was good enough. Considering his eyes are closed at the moment Lucifer will attempt to take advantage of Lancer's weakened guard, quickly charging at his opponent again and aiming a kick at his head, intending to topple him over.]

[The kick impacts with Lancer's head, sending him falling over backwards. His spear disappears as he reaches out with both hands to support himself in a headstand. At the same time, one of his legs lashes out at Lucifer's face, turning the fall into a kick of his own.]

[The kick connects with Lucifer's face, the wet sound of saliva and teeth and tongue clacking at the blow. Lucifer stumbles for a moment, almost dizzy from the blow, before trying to lunge and hoping to grab one of Lancer's legs. To twist it. To try and force him into a lock if possible and if Lancer wasn't quick enough to take the opportunity to right himself.]

[Lancer half-way toward the ground when Lucifer's grab came. He tries to right himself, but only ends up in an awkward tug of war where he has the disadvantage. No matter how he forces his torso downward, he doesn't have the leverage to pull his leg away.]
