Today was not Charles Xavier's day.

While he slept it seemed that seemingly the world had ended as he knew it and everyone he knew and loved, or didn't know or love, were gone. All gone. But he was alive and should be happy. Or so that seemed to be the message of this place. Along with a uncomfortable collar and no other explanation given beyond the note he'd found. Waking up hadn't been pleasant either. Not being able to move all of his body beyond his eyes was frightening. He'd only just started to get used to not feeling his legs, or being able to move them, and then this. After several very panic stricken moments of dealing with that and finally being able to move Charles noted his wheelchair beside the bed he was in and dragged himself into it, getting settled.

And then cue finding the note. And dread settled deep into his stomach, dread and sadness and confusion. And disbelief. This was a horrible messed up nightmare, and he wanted to wake up. Needless to say he even pinched himself, wincing at the pain as he felt it. Oh he felt it just fine. And it frightened him all the more, but he's trying to keep calm. At least on the outside. Poking around the room, which seemed to be made to accommodate three others besides himself, he finds the chest with some of his belongs in them, and basic things, along with some of his thesis? A confusing bunch of things really. He'll roll out into the hallway of the dormitories wanting to find someone, anyone else. To make sense of everything.

He'll try reaching out to those around him, gentle brushes of their minds if he can, to get a sense of how many were nearby. Though it only backfires and he'll wince in pain as he runs into some interference. Better not do that again, at least for now. So he'll roll along, before rolling into something that he's yet to beat in combat. Stairs. Frustrating. And he'll try to find another way down before running into more stairs. So he'll sit there at the top of them, staring in frustration at them, confused and some what angry at this entire situation.

This day could not get any worse. He hoped.

Hm, you sound like one of England's people.

[He smirks about the comment about his name as a country. He's getting accustomed to people who don't know about the nations.]

My human name is Gilbert, but as formality it's The Kingdom of Prussia. I take it you've never heard of the physical manifestation of nations as beings before?

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, and I'm not repeating myself. There are a few of us here. Hungary, England, Russia, Canada, Spain, Italy, to name a few. I'm sure there are more somewhere here in the tower.

Never heard of anything like that before?

[Prussia merely raised a snowy eyebrow at Charles' muttering. Course, mostly people in their own countries didn't know they exsisted so having humans hear of them for the first time was becoming normal.]

They might be, we tend to keep to ourselves and deal directly behind the scenes in government. So there might be some in your world, you never know. But I have a question, were you the one that poked my mind?

[Prussia watched him for a moment with an expression that was a cross between amusement and disbelief.]

You're shit for lying.

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Body movement and eye contact. Nice try, but I've been around the block more than a few times to pick up on liars.

[Prussia will just smirk and tap his forehead with a finger.]

No repricussions, just I wouldn't suggest it. I have nearly 3000 years of memories up here. Might make you go a little... insane.

First time I was here there was a guy who tried, dunno what happened to him he vanished. But it wasn't pretty when he tried. He wanted to know about the second world war from my position.

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-09-20 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I haven't been here that long, a few weeks at most, maybe a month or two? Won't find about this place in here, maybe the battle of Waterloo and the world wars but not much about here.

But it's an interesting talent you have there. How long have you been able to do that?

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no one here knows what's going on. I've seen everyone from humans to nations to trolls, and I think there's a talking polar bear here that belongs to Canada.

That's a damn awesome talent to have, as long as you're not in my head I don't have a problem with you. So, uh, you need help or something? Kind of a shitty place to be stuck in a wheelchair.

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-09-28 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah the polar bear belongs to one of the other nations, Canada.

Well I could probably lift you, you're not that big. But I can't say I blame you for not wanting to fall, I got stuck in a Katamari and that sucked.

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
No, I think Canada's bear is the only one. Some of us have pets but they don't really talk.

As for lifting you and the chair I might be able to but I'm not going to risk it with how steep the stairs are. Dangerous enough for someone who can walk, as for a Katamari it's a japanese term for a giant ball of people that usually ends up at the bottom of a staircase.

One happened the other week, it wasn't... fun.

[identity profile] eastern-awsum.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
They're more animalistic than Canada's bear. Mostly in the fact that they don't talk at all but understand when someone is talking to them.

But yeah, the term is concerning in itself especially seeing as it must be common in japan for it to happen so often.

[But Prussia shook his head]

More of an innocent bystander that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you see the trolls here you'll know what I mean by 'landed on a several sets of horns.' Probably still have the bruises.
