Summary: Another new arrival to the Tower! Meiling is trying to find a way to figure out what happened..and to block out those letters.

[Dorm 02-15]

Slowly, very slowly Meiling wakes up to the sight of a....room? That startled her into a sitting position. This is not where she was supposed to be nor where she was when she started her nap! She quickly swung her legs over the side of the bed and thought in this, letting the letters fall to the floor.

"Huh?"

She leans down and picks the letters off the floor, opening one and looking very confused on the contents, as she was reading the one that was meant to be read AFTER the other one. Seeing as the first one made no sense, she opened the second one and her face falls. Gensokyo gone?

After reading that she sits there, just staring at the letter. The idea of Gensokyo being gone had her both confused and left in a disbelieving trance.

[Cafeteria]

After that letter and finding her normal clothing to change into, Meiling sat in a corner of the Cafeteria, eyes closed as she tried to think this all over. Everyone she knows and cares about gone...? She would not believe it! Beside her is a bowl of oatmeal that has not been touched at all as she is too busy thinking on what this all could mean, trying hard to find a reason to deny that her home for so long is now gone.

People in charge? Twisted Game? The letter said something about being saved. Why would they do something like that just to take them away?

There's no way that can be true! The people here are sick! [She's not quite yelling, but there's no mistaking the angry, fierce tone in this girl's voice.] They do really messed up stuff, like putting us in different bodies or turning us into monsters...! They didn't save us! They just trapped us in a torture facility!

[She blinks and scratched at her head a bit although she is taking in what is being said.]

But why? Why would they say we were saved if they just want to torture and torment?

[Please excuse her..Most things that happen at home are just because someone is bored or wants something. And ends up with festivals and tea parties.]

Because they want to enjoy our despair, probably! It's some form of gross sadism, and I'm totally sick of it!

[She's had enough of despair-obsessed people, thank you very much. B(]

Then they need to be stopped somehow. Does anyone know where these sickos are at?

[She cracks her knuckles and an angry expression crosses her face.]

[Strangely enough, this girl seems barely fazed by Meiling's suddenly threatening demeanor. When you have a friend like Sakura Oogami, you kind of get used to intimidating looks...]

Not a clue. If we did, d'you really think they'd still be bringing people here? I'm pretty sure there are plenty of others who would rip all the administrators' heads from their bodies!

... You might have luck asking some other people for clues, though. I've only been here a couple of months.

[Well that deflates her very quickly. the anger is still there but she's pushing it aside for now.]

One could always hope...And if there is a line for that I guess I'll have to wait my turn then.

[She pauses and nods a bit at the suggestion.]

I was thinking about exploring and seeing what was around..maybe I'll run into someone who might have a idea.

Yeah, some people have been here for a really long time, from what I can tell. They're the ones you should be asking the big questions... sorry about that!

[She laughs nervously.] Oh, but if you go exploring, you better be careful. There are monsters and stuff on some floors, and others are just really weird and kinda dangerous sometimes.

That's fine! If I get some answers, I can always share what I've learned.

[She laughs, a bright smile on her face.]

Danger is something I'm kind of used to. I've been the gate guard for the Mansion for a very long time. Very little gets past me!

Which reminds me, I'm Meiling. It's nice to meet you.

[She gives a little bow, that smile not leaving her face at all!]

Whoa, a gate guard? Like those security guards that stand outside hotels and top secret businesses and stuff?

[Huh, cool. She's kinda dressed weirdly for a person like that, though...]

Oh, nice to meet you too, Meiling! I'm Aoi. Aoi Asahina.

Uh...Maybe? I'm not sure what those are.

[She scratches her head for a moment before shrugging.]

It's nice to meet you as well then Aoi. I hope we can at least be allies, if not friends.

[That brief look of confusion crosses Aoi's face as well. How could this girl not know what those things are??? Weird...]

Yeah, friends sounds like a good plan to me! [She giggles.] It's been a while since I made friends with someone outside of my classmates.

Well then you are due for a new friend...maybe more! Maybe there are others that want a new friend too.

[All of this is said with that bright and happy smile. Befriending a Youkai made easy!]
