When the dream is over...

Location: Dorm 02-15 ->Cafeteria (Or anywhere really! Just let me know)
Summary: Another new arrival to the Tower! Meiling is trying to find a way to figure out what happened..and to block out those letters.

[Dorm 02-15]

Slowly, very slowly Meiling wakes up to the sight of a....room? That startled her into a sitting position. This is not where she was supposed to be nor where she was when she started her nap! She quickly swung her legs over the side of the bed and thought in this, letting the letters fall to the floor.

"Huh?"

She leans down and picks the letters off the floor, opening one and looking very confused on the contents, as she was reading the one that was meant to be read AFTER the other one. Seeing as the first one made no sense, she opened the second one and her face falls. Gensokyo gone?

After reading that she sits there, just staring at the letter. The idea of Gensokyo being gone had her both confused and left in a disbelieving trance.


[Cafeteria]

After that letter and finding her normal clothing to change into, Meiling sat in a corner of the Cafeteria, eyes closed as she tried to think this all over. Everyone she knows and cares about gone...? She would not believe it! Beside her is a bowl of oatmeal that has not been touched at all as she is too busy thinking on what this all could mean, trying hard to find a reason to deny that her home for so long is now gone.

Just everything I guess. How can they destroy a world that is hidden from everyone...I mean, Gensokyo has plenty of powerful people to protect and fight for it.

[She shrugs and sits up a bit. She'll figure out later or not worry about it.]

But yes, I'm new to this place. Was napping outside the gate and then woke up here.

Ee~h!?

[She slams her palms on the floor and leans forward. Wriggle stares up at Meiling wide-eyed]

You're from Gensoyko? Really? Really, really!? I thought it had been destroyed months ago!

[colorfulbrilliance]

[Cue a wide grin yet surprised expression.]

Huh? You are too? I don't quite remember you...But I'm Meiling, The Gate Guard of the Scarlet Devil Mansion!

[She crosses her arms a bit and thinks on this. for a moment and nods, This might be good news!]

It was fine when I fell asleep, before I woke up here. That might mean things are still okay back home!

[wrigurun]

I don't know where that is...

But... what about the endless night? Isn't that the cause of all this?

I don't think so...That was a long time ago.

Maybe it is the Taisui Xinjun again!

[wrigurun]

The what...?

N-no way! It was definitely the endless night! Just as the sun was about to rise I found myself here! And then they said the world was destroyed so...

[People kept telling her again and again that they thought their worlds being destroyed was a lie, little by little she was starting to believe it but this was the final push to finally get her to notice that something was wrong]

...Was it really a long time ago?

It has been at least a few years!

[At least, as far as she remembered.]

There were a few other things that happened after that too!

[The information doesn't make her as happy as it normally would. Even though there's a slight smile on her face it seems so very forced. Maybe knowing that she'd be brought to the tower needlessly is a bit of a kick to the stomach]

So, ah... I've been missing for a few years then?

[colorfulbrilliance]

Uh....I don't think so? I'm sure if someone went missing everyone would be worried and looking around.

[She pauses. She's trying to figure out how this could be possible.]

Or at least someone would have said something. What's your name? Maybe someone was asking about you while I was guarding the gate.

[wrigurun]

My name's Wriggle Nightbug, what's yours?

Although I don't remember hearing anyone looking for you..But that doesn't mean someone wasn't!

[She's waving her hands a bit in front of her, trying to somewhat be reassuring]

[With a heavy sigh she sits down next to her, propping her knees up and resting her head in her hands]

It's okay, they probably weren't.

[Normally she'd brush it off quickly, jump up and try and show Meiling around but ever since October it's been hard to muster up the energy once she got like this. Even if it was minus the enthusiasm, Wriggle got sick of moping around pretty quickly]
