(no subject)

Characters: Irisviel von Einzbern & YOU!
Setting: Room 01-01 -> Meadow -> Library
Format: Action, but I'll match!
Summary: Another awakening in the tower. Confusion and many tearful and angsty reunions and meetings are had.
Warnings: Spoilers for the end of Fate/Zero. Also angst. Lots of angst.

[Room 01-01]

[It was a strange thing, feeling your consciousness returning to you after you accepted your death. The last thing Irisviel remembered was the feeling of drowning, of suffocating, of being dragged by cold, clammy hands into an inky, muddy blackness that she knew she could not escape. This was her fate. There was something so wrong about this dark, evil feeling surrounding her, but she could do nothing to fight against it. She could only accept it.

But then the strangest thing happened: she opened her eyes. She took in the sight of surroundings she had most certainly never seen before. She couldn't move, but that didn't faze her one bit - she had been completely immobile since she had given Avalon to Kiritsugu.

... And then another strange thing happened. There was a slight tingling sensation, and then all of a sudden... she could feel the soft surface of the bed under her. She could feel the material of her clothes clinging to her. Slowly, with an expression that certainly appears to be disbelief, she raises a hand, and slowly curls it into a tight fist. There was strength in this movement. But how...?

Any roommates already in the room are free to call her out on her behavior. Any roommates that walk in at a later time will see her up and out of bed, slowly stretching and looking extremely surprised at being able to do so.]

[Floor 25]

[Irisviel isn't really doing anything on this floor. She's simply wandering about, sleeves of her shirt rolled up and thigh-high boots abandoned back near the stairs, humming softly to herself. There's still a bit of tension in the way she carries herself, but the more time she spends here, the more relaxed she seems.]

[Floor 4]

[There is a lady sitting at one of the computer terminals! A very pretty lady. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Nah, not really, except the look of absolute confusion on her face. It's likely that she knows what the device in front of her is, judging by the way she taps away at a few of the keys, but when nothing happens, she looks almost amusingly panicked.]

[He's only here for a few minutes, taking a break while passing among floors. It's not like he's a big fan of peaceful meadows. But still--

--the presence of a Servant will hit Irisviel's senses as Archer pauses and sits down next to a cluster of flowers.]
koncubine: Caster looking interested. (But you say that you're doing just fine)

[Iri will probably notice that strange feeling as a Servant draws near. This one leans over the terminal, looking at Iri's confused face and feeling a bit confused herself.]

What's with that look? Haven't you seen a computer before?

[He only faintly glances at her at first before looking back at the flowers with a bored expression. He doesn't sense any threat or malice, and he's weary from the day. So all he notices is an apparently harmless--for now--woman with pale hair who seems fascinated by him.]

Is it so strange? Even soldiers can put up with flowers now and then.

[Smirk.]

It's a pain, but what can I do? I can't stomp on every single one in this meadow.
koncubine: Caster looking suspicious. (There whenever I wake up)

[personal profile] koncubine 2012-11-09 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Ehh, is that so?

[Her tail swishes as she thinks on that for a second.

There are a lot of people like that around lately... You know, a woman like me shouldn't be more up-to-date on technology than modern people! It's too confusing.

[Illya had stumbled upon the meadow sometime ago and quickly found it to be a place she could relax without worrying that something horrible could spring from the darkness and eat her for lunch.

For now simply lays on her back and stares into the floor's artificial sky. She really did miss home and the feeling of fresh air against her pale skin.

Her reminiscing is soon broken when she hears the sound of someone walking -and humming- nearby, she rises to a seated position and looks around for the source of the noise.]

Hello? Is someone there?

Hah.

[He starts to rise to his feet and turn to face her properly.]

You shouldn't let your guard--

[And then he does get a good look at her. The briefest of pauses ensues.]

--down in a place like this, I was going to say, but what does an Einzbern homunculus need to keep her guard up for? I'm sure they'll protect you until it's necessary for you to die.
koncubine: Caster frowning. (I can love you much better)

[personal profile] koncubine 2012-11-09 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
I guess.

[She huffs over it momentarily. She'll get over it, but for now, it's bizarre to say the least. Technology aptitude is basically the way of life on the Moon Cell.]

It's still really weird to see, since it's really important where I come from. But not for you, apparently.

[Illya blinked a few times as she store into space. Her mind was empty of all thought. What was she supposed to think? Her mother had died a decade ago in an unfair war, there was no way she could be here, right? But the woman stand before her looked like her mother and her voice was the one and the same as the voice, it was the same to. It didn't make sense, but it had to be her.

Tears ran down Illya's pale face. Despite having lived for nearly two decades her mind reverted to long ago days of her youth. Indeed, she had waited for so long for this moment and played it out a million times in her head. Yet she still had no idea how to respond to her mother's plea. Illya opened her mouth and all that came forth was a single word.]

Mommy...

[In the distance, on the edge of the meadow, far from the steps when Irisviel wanders that way, there's something oddly familiar about the figure in black dress sitting on the grass. The figure was not facing her, though that hairstyle was distinctive with the braided bun and ribbon. Except the ribbon was black and the hair was a lot paler than it should have been. Memory might tell Irisviel that there was supposed to be a piece sticking up, but it was missing.

Laying on the ground next to the figure was a shinai and she gave no reaction to the approach of another. It wasn't a Servant, so right then, Saber didn't care to even look back to see who it was.]

Sorry, I'm not interested in answering that question.

[He's just going to smirk now.]

So, you're new, huh? Things are sort of a mess here. Especially for our world--even if it isn't really destroyed. So you're probably best off watching out.

[As Irisviel took Illya into her warm embrace, a decade of sorrow and woe seemed to simply fade away. All the horrors of the Grail War, the isolation and hardship inflicted upon her by her grandfather, and even the fact that she would likely die in the near future, none of it mattered as she lay nestled so close to her mother's beating heart.

The feeling was a familiar one. A return to the happy days when her family was whole and the world was still full of wonder and happiness and before everything was taken from her. In other words, it felt like she was home. Though her tears still flowed, Illyasviel Von Eiznbern was happier then she had been in years.]

Is it really you?

koncubine: Caster smiling. (Why do I let it go on?)

[personal profile] koncubine 2012-11-09 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, back home, I can only exist because of technology! There's no magic on Earth to sustain the Servants of the Grail--.

[Getting a little ahead of ourselves, here, aren't we?]

Ah, it's very complicated, but without computers, I would just disappear. Like a ghost!

[April just watches the other woman tap away at the keys for a few moments, her own expression curious, before she decides to walk over.]

Um, hey, need any help?
