Characters: Irisviel von Einzbern & YOU!
Setting: Room 01-01 -> Meadow -> Library
Format: Action, but I'll match!
Summary: Another awakening in the tower. Confusion and many tearful and angsty reunions and meetings are had.
Warnings: Spoilers for the end of Fate/Zero. Also angst. Lots of angst.
[Room 01-01]
[It was a strange thing, feeling your consciousness returning to you after you accepted your death. The last thing Irisviel remembered was the feeling of drowning, of suffocating, of being dragged by cold, clammy hands into an inky, muddy blackness that she knew she could not escape. This was her fate. There was something so wrong about this dark, evil feeling surrounding her, but she could do nothing to fight against it. She could only accept it.
But then the strangest thing happened: she opened her eyes. She took in the sight of surroundings she had most certainly never seen before. She couldn't move, but that didn't faze her one bit - she had been completely immobile since she had given Avalon to Kiritsugu.
... And then another strange thing happened. There was a slight tingling sensation, and then all of a sudden... she could feel the soft surface of the bed under her. She could feel the material of her clothes clinging to her. Slowly, with an expression that certainly appears to be disbelief, she raises a hand, and slowly curls it into a tight fist. There was strength in this movement. But how...?
Any roommates already in the room are free to call her out on her behavior. Any roommates that walk in at a later time will see her up and out of bed, slowly stretching and looking extremely surprised at being able to do so.]
[Floor 25]
[Irisviel isn't really doing anything on this floor. She's simply wandering about, sleeves of her shirt rolled up and thigh-high boots abandoned back near the stairs, humming softly to herself. There's still a bit of tension in the way she carries herself, but the more time she spends here, the more relaxed she seems.]
[Floor 4]
[There is a lady sitting at one of the computer terminals! A very pretty lady. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Nah, not really, except the look of absolute confusion on her face. It's likely that she knows what the device in front of her is, judging by the way she taps away at a few of the keys, but when nothing happens, she looks almost amusingly panicked.]

Tears ran down Illya's pale face. Despite having lived for nearly two decades her mind reverted to long ago days of her youth. Indeed, she had waited for so long for this moment and played it out a million times in her head. Yet she still had no idea how to respond to her mother's plea. Illya opened her mouth and all that came forth was a single word.]
Mommy...

In just a few quick strides Irisviel is there, by Illya's side, dropping to her knees and pulling the girl into a tight, tight hug. She realizes there are tears in her eyes as well, but she doesn't bother with them. Right now, the only person that matters is the little girl in her arms.]
Shhh, don't cry. I'm here....

The feeling was a familiar one. A return to the happy days when her family was whole and the world was still full of wonder and happiness and before everything was taken from her. In other words, it felt like she was home. Though her tears still flowed, Illyasviel Von Eiznbern was happier then she had been in years.]
Is it really you?
no subject
Mm, it's me. I promise.
[She reaches up, wiping the girl's tears away with her sleeve.] But I should be the one asking you that, I think! You've gotten so big...

It's been ten years since I last saw you, mommy. I've had a lot of time to grow up.

[She looks absolutely shocked at the news. Oh sure, a part of her told her she shouldn't really have been surprised - even though it had only felt like a moment between her consciousness fading and waking up again to find herself in this strange tower, it's likely that it could have been a much longer time than she thought. But... ten years? It's a little hard to grasp.]
You barely look a couple of years older than the last time I saw you...
[It was hard to tell that this was something that might have happened as a result of her status as a homunculus. Irisviel herself looked older than she was, and Illya seemed to grow at a normal rate during the years her mother was there for her... so it was no wonder it came as a shock to her.]

[The last Illya wanted was to make her mother sad. Even if it meant bending the truth a little bit.]
no subject
That's good... very good. I'm glad you were able to grow nto such a fine young lady!

[Illya giggled as if trying to keep a light atmosphere around the reunion.]

[Illya blushes a little.]

[Despite the seemingly lighthearted subject, Irisviel's smile fades a little. Watching Illya grow, listening to her as she begins to talk about boys she likes... it was so mundane, so normal, but it was something the older homunculus had craved - simply being a normal, content family. No Holy Grail, no mage politics... just her, Kiritsugu, and their beloved daughter.]

[It hurts that she can't say "I'd love to meet him" considering... well. She can't. Even if there was a possibility that this boy might be transported here, Irisviel would never wish for that. It wouldn't be fair to him.]

[Illya giggles lightly.]
Um, Mommy, can I stay with you for awhile? It hasn't been much fun being by myself.
no subject
"By yourself"? Are you alone in the room you're staying in?

[So she's probably not very comfortable staying with those strangers, in an unfamiliar place like this...]
Well... let me meet my own roommates first, okay? [She wants to make sure none of them will be a threat to her daughter - she could deal with it if they were a threat to herself, but there was no way she was going to put Illya in harm's way.] As soon as I do, you can come by whenever you wish.

Ok, I'll make sure to come by a lot when things are settled!
