Summary: The tower taunts Rin when she's already in a poor mood.

[ Rin knew the moment he was taken from her. Any Master can feel the bond ripped from them and if that wasn't enough indication, the Command Seals along her flesh went dormant. In fact it was the hand she found herself gazing upon in the graveyard, sitting on a freshly dug (up?) patch of dity, the formerly vibrant red seals now barely seen against her pale skin. If that wasn't evident enough, then the stone marker with the name L A N C E R was indication enough of who she lost. Rin's never had anyone in her life, so for the brief time she held a Servant was the most social interaction she's ever had.

Losing him stung more than she's willing to let on.

For those brave enough to seek her out, they might feel a more ominous presence in the air around them. Yes, she's vulnerable without a Servant, but in no way is she weak. Willing to advertise that much, she hopes it's enough to keep people away.

Later on the evening, even if she's left, Rin will return to this place not to mourn. No, she'll wait around as though expecting him to return. For all of those jokes she often cracked about him being a puppy, it was her that will wait patiently for him to come pick her up. ]

Well, don't go gloating about that. Someone might take it as a challenge.

Wow, that's pretty clever of you to figure out so quickly. Second Magic is in relation to parallel worlds and alternate dimensions. [ She explains it calmly, as though talking about magic from her world brought her some joy. ] So if there was someone there adept in the skill, they might have been able to help you see what other realities you could have had. Existences.

This tower bypasses the laws itself and brings in those from other realities... I've witnessed it myself.

[He laughs.] And I welcome it! A guy like me gets bored when there aren't even any good games or stuff to do!

I think there were people who knew that kind of stuff, but the facility could take away our powers in a blink, and we were already reduced to half our power. Tower seems to do the same, since Kuwabara should be able to cut down the barrier with his Spirit Sword. No dice though.

If you're going to use terms someone is unfamiliar with, the least you can do is explain them. Who is Kuwabara and what is a Spirit Sword?

Well? Out with it already. I don't have all day to stand around bored out of my mind.

[Yusuke sighs, deliberately going slow because of her attitude. Tohsaka or not, they sure were acting the same.]

Then I'll explain from the top. Spirit energy like this--[He holds up his finger, a bit of blue energy surfacing from the tip. It seemed small, but there was a bit of power flowing from it.] --tends to flow from some select people in my world. For example, my friend can make swords out of it, and one of them was supposed to be a sword that can cut down any magical barrier, no matter how strong.

Course, the idiot can't do that now thanks to the collars around our necks.

Those collars restrict these sort of things?

[ It bothers her to think about it as she moves back a bit with a frown. ] So a sword that can cut down any magical barrier. Out of energy?

Impressive, but can he make anything else with that spiritual energy? Adapting it might be the first step in accommodating forced weaknesses.

Yeah, they can. Back when space whales decided to thoroughly screw the tower, we lost our powers. Plus, when I tried to blow a hole in this tower, the collars shocked me enough for me to stop.

As for Kuwabara....I dunno. He mostly just did the sword and weapon deal and never grew from it.

... Does that mean someone was watching you? How else would they have known you were destroying the tower otherwise?

Pretty sure they're always watching us. Back at the facility, they knew everything we did, and then every week, they made fun of us by spilling secrets or hinting at stuff. They did a bunch of things like that, like so and so and whatever should just bang. Stupid stuff.

[Like making fun of the little dream he had, and got rickrolled; that was a weird week.]

Pretty sure this place has a similar system or something. Future tech's gotta work like that, or we'd be able to bust out without the help of a space whale.
