Characters:
Dark Rin & YOU.
Setting: Floor 48
Time: November 9
Format: Quick to start, will match
Summary: The tower taunts Rin when she's already in a poor mood.
Warnings: Characters are likely to be endangered if they provoke her.
►►► FLOOR 48;
[ Rin knew the moment he was taken from her. Any Master can feel the bond ripped from them and if that wasn't enough indication, the Command Seals along her flesh went dormant. In fact it was the hand she found herself gazing upon in the graveyard, sitting on a freshly dug (up?) patch of dity, the formerly vibrant red seals now barely seen against her pale skin. If that wasn't evident enough, then the stone marker with the name L A N C E R was indication enough of who she lost. Rin's never had anyone in her life, so for the brief time she held a Servant was the most social interaction she's ever had.
Losing him stung more than she's willing to let on.
For those brave enough to seek her out, they might feel a more ominous presence in the air around them. Yes, she's vulnerable without a Servant, but in no way is she weak. Willing to advertise that much, she hopes it's enough to keep people away.
Later on the evening, even if she's left, Rin will return to this place not to mourn. No, she'll wait around as though expecting him to return. For all of those jokes she often cracked about him being a puppy, it was her that will wait patiently for him to come pick her up. ]

He approaches her silently. He knows she'll sense him anyway, so what's the point of warning her further to his presence? ]
I see; you're the moping sort after all.
[ She'll feel better if she beats him up, right? That's sort of his logic, except he's a little worried that this one might actually kill him. But he'll take that risk. ]
no subject
If only. [ Clucking her tongue in defiance, she looks away from him and the tombstone. ] I came here only because it's a foolish gesture, you see?
Who makes a grave for a ghost?
no subject
You're mourning ironically? No, I don't think I'll believe that. It's a little much even for this version of you.
no subject
[ He grates on her nerves easily and it shows in her fingers digging into the fine soil underneath her. ]
Ever since you've shown up... geez, it's as though you were brought here to be a pain in my short skirt.

[Most of the names he didn't recognize, though one or two make him raise an eyebrow. He had met those people in the tower before, so why were there graves for the living?]
[He notices the girl bending over the grave. Reading it over just makes him confused. Well, maybe they were giving him a grave because he technically wasn't alive anymore.]
[Or maybe it was just another Lancer.]
You know, all Servants are technically dead. There's no real reason to mope about seeing their name on a grave.

[ Rin rolls her head to the side of her shoulder just to look up towards him lazily. Feeling the bitterness swell up inside of her, she's almost tempted to make him suffer as a result of his arrogance. Instead, she shakes her head. ]
No, I'm not moping. I'm concerned over this. [ Pointing to the tombstone. ] If this is evident of them no longer being in the tower, then this is a lot of people who were rescued and then what? Killed off and not revived for whatever reason?
I want to know that reason.
no subject
[Lancer leans down and places a hand on the tombstone. In his other hand, he manifests Gae Bolg.]
Only one way to find out then.
[He wouldn't be comfortable with desecrating the graves of others, but seeing as how this was technically his own grave, he felt less awkward about digging it up.]
no subject
[ That hostile air around her directs it's full attention on Lancer as she stares towards him coldly. ]
I know it's typical of a dog to dig to bury a bone, but it's unlike one to dig that same bone up when someone is around to see. Don't you think?

What he didn't expect was Rin, and sad of all things. At least just looking more miserable instead of angry or pissed. Ignoring the danger, he walks towards her, waving.]
Yo! You looking for ghosts or zombies too?
no subject
[ An arrogant reply is what he'll find in return as whatever remorse she felt retreats quickly at the sight of another. ]
The tower's seen enough of those types, wouldn't you agree?
no subject
[That was actually a thing back at the facility.]
no subject
Do you ever listen to half the absurd shit you say or does it just flow naturally from one end to the next?
[ Definitely in a bad mood if she's dropping curse words. At least they're the cosmetic kind and not the kind that leaves him puking for seven days straight. ]

evening
[Saber calls this to Rin after finding the girl hovering around the one grave. She, herself, was sitting on a pile of rubble - a broken headstone - not too far away. If Rin bothered to look, she could make out S A one on larger piece and R on a smaller one among the pile the knight sits upon.

I'm not lost. [ Her confidence blinds her as always, as Rin holds her nose up in the air to match. ] I'm just trying to wrap my head around this. A heroic spirit shouldn't have a grave, right?
[ Not much of a subject change, but she's trying. ]
no subject
A heroic spirit should not have a body, Rin. A grave does not require a body.
no subject
[ It bothers her for more personal reasons, but she's not in the mood to talk about herself for once. ] That is why it bothers me. Is this place making a mockery of them or is it simply trying to help us 'feel' better over it?

It was an odd feeling, a bad one definitely, but it was familiar. She was sure she knew what this feeling meant, so she chose to investigate, stepping out onto the floor and looking around until she spotted another figure: yep, she was right.]
... Rin?
[She approaches slowly, cautious, yet there's a look of concern on her face and in her voice.]
If this isn't alright, let me know? <3
Finally, when she's sure the girl just might actually want to stick around, she'll face her fully. ]
Yeah, I'm in this stupid place. Go on and say something profound that's supposed to make it go away.
[ Quite the heavy responsibility. ]
Just fine with me <3
I don't know if I can say anything profound, sorry. [She actually sounds apologetic for not meeting Rin's expectations...] But... why do you think it's stupid? I'd call it "mean", instead. Reminding people of those that are gone...
I always feel bad about awkward pauses in tags, but Rin is Rin :D

But something he does find himself doing is approaching mourners, and Rin is certainly looking like one now.*
Would you like someone to speak to?
no subject
[ He takes her by surprise only because people usually fail to notice her. Maybe it's the ominous aura she puts up or the fact she looks like a demon with that look on her face. ]
No, does it look like I want to talk to someone? Geez, if I did, I wouldn't be sitting around with a bunch of dead guys.
[ But a part of her deep down is nice, nice enough to add: ] If you need someone to speak with though, I suppose I've got nothing else better to do.

[He noticed her alone in the graveyard, just being all around miserable in front of a gravestone that bore a simple word. They met a few times before, and while they're not exactly close friends yet, he figured she needed the space judging from how his mind is running slight alarms upon setting foot in this floor.
So he's going to just. Walk around, not even bothering to get close to her, he figured it'd be better to just stare at the names found on the gravestones.]
no subject
[ He might not be near her, but she's able to notice that he's around. So she'll shout from across the graveyard to get his attention. ]

[He's currently parked over a tombstone that has the name, 'Anya Alstraim' engraved upon it. Odd, to be honest; her name was mentioned before by Suzaku as a sign that in a version of their world, everything went just as planned before it ended anyways.
Seeing her tombstone here regardless of what happened when they're sent back is probably the Tower's way of telling him that they're probably pretty damn dead in that desolate world.]
