Summary: V/V picks flowers for people.

[V/V is glad that she can simply fly over the hedge maze - it makes spending time in the garden so much easier. The wonderful plants and flowers here were one of the things she liked best about the tower - as scary as it was, it was still alive.

Hm, but there weren't many people who stopped on this floor to smell the roses, right...?

Anyone who makes it out of the hedge maze will see that V/V is on her knees carefully uprooting flowers from the ground and gathering them into her arms.]

[Later, V/V will be walking around knocking on each room in the dormitories. Yes. All of them. When the door opens - if it opens at all - she'll smile and pick out one of the flowers from the large bundle she's carrying.]

Would you like a flower?

[You can also catch her in the hallway before she moves on to the next room.]

[When V/V gets to room 4-14, the door will open swiftly, and she'll be faced with a very intimidating, very tired-looking man in a long, dark coat. The wide-brimmed neck of the coat covers half his face and leaves only his blood-red eyes visible (she might note that dark circles are beginning to form underneath), which doesn't do his appearance any favors.

Her question is so simple, so painfully innocent, that it leaves Itachi floored for a minute. He's silent for a few moments, just standing there in the doorway, before he finally speaks up.]

...Excuse me?

[She doesn't even wince.]

I think the flowers in the garden are very pretty, so I brought some up for people. Would you like one?

Floor 29

[She's not the only one that likes the quiet and the beauty of the maze. Fou-Lu could transform to get over it, but it's easy enough for him to jump and then speed over the top of the maze, going fast enough that his weight doesn't press on the hedges very much and send him tumbling. He leaps down, and takes a deep breath - before spotting the girl.]

[He doesn't say anything yet, just watches her with wary green eyes.]

[She spots him too, and speaks up with a smile.]

Oh, hello! Do you like the gardens too?

Dorm Room 1-09

Tohko was reading a collection of Irish horror stories and munching on a small piece that tasted like bitter wine when she heard someone knocking on the door. She quickly swallowed, put the book down, rushed to the door, and opened it.

Standing right in front of her was a little girl holding a bunch of flowers. Tohko smiled. How cute..

"Good morning! Can I help you?"

[heavenscorpse]

"Good morning," V/V answered. "Would you like a flower? I brought them from the garden because they're easy for me to get." Her wings, nearly as big as her body, fluttered behind her.

[silentsacrifice]

[What. Why. Is this some trick of the Tower's? Will this girl turn into a horrific monster and try to maul him as soon as he reaches for the flower? He really wouldn't put it past the place at this point, and he is in no mood to deal with it.]

No.

[Wow. Straight-up stone cold, Itachi.]

[heavenscorpse]

[V/V looks disappointed for a moment.] Would any of your roommates like a flower? I can just leave one here for them, I have plenty.

[silentsacrifice]

I have one roommate.

[He frowns and just barely manages to keep himself from rolling his eyes. Instead, he stares at the girl, making no effort to disguise his suspicion. After a moment of consideration, he relents.]

Leave one for him, if you'd like. But make it quick.

[He steps away from the door, but keeps his eyes on her. He won't let his guard down for a second.]

Tohko noticed the wings. They looked lovely, and made Tohko curious. "Yes, I would! May I please have this sunflower?" Tohko asked, tapping on a bright sunflower. She'd have to get a jar from the cafeteria so that it could live, but it would be nice to have a small flower.

"By the way..why do you have wings?"

[heavenscorpse]

[V/V comes into the room and places a flower on one of the beds. She then comes back out of the room without doing anything else.] I hope he likes it.

[heavenscorpse]

V/V hands her the sunflower, giggling. "I have wings because I'm an angel. They're pretty, aren't they?"

[silentsacrifice]

[Itachi watches her the whole time, still tense even when she proves to be harmless.]

I'm sure he will.

[His roommate seems energetic enough. He'd probably find the gesture far more touching than Itachi does.]

That's all I wanted to do. I hope your day goes well.

Tohko smiled as she took the flower. An angel, huh? Tohko wasn't sure that angels existed back at her world, but it was interesting to meet one. Tohko chuckled, thinking about how a friend of hers would react to this.

"Thank you! And they are quite pretty..pardon, but how did you become an angel? And what do you do as one?"

[silentsacrifice]

[Itachi gives a curt nod, which is the best he can manage in his current state. At least he's had a lot of practice being cold and aloof.

Without saying a word, he shuts the door.]

"Well, it's kind of a long story..."

V/V decided that explaining that she was originally a parasitic plant that absorbed thoughts and then projected another form based on those thoughts would be too confusing.

"But as an angel, mostly what I do is try to make people happy."

[tohko_amano]

"We have time. But if you don't want to tell me, that's okay. I'm not going to force you." Tohko didn't want to pry, if the girl was uncomfortable with the story.

"Well, it's good that you're trying to cheer people up. We kind of need that here." Tohko then thought for a moment. Maybe this girl could help cheer up a friend of hers..

"Pardon, but could you do me a favor? Run up to room 3-18 and put a rose and a bluebell on the nightstand of the third bed, along with a note saying 'To Enoch'? It's for a friend. He needs a bit of good cheer."

V/V beamed at that. "Absolutely! I have plenty of those and he sounds nice."

[tohko_amano]

Tohko smiled and scratched her head. "Thank you so much! He is a really nice person.." After all, while he did seem a little bit nervous about it, he hadn't called her a goblin or a monster after seeing her true self.

Tohko then suddenly focused on the flower. If she didn't find a jar for it soon, it would die. "Well, I had better find a jar for this little guy. Again, thank you so much. Good luck with the flower delivering!" Tohko cried, running off to the cafeteria, chuckling as she did so. That girl reminded her of Rei, in some ways.
