Morning - Cafeteria Kitchen

[Yosuke isn't really sure what's possessed him to come this far. It's not like he's ever had a problem eating the cafeteria food, but today? Today he finds himself in the kitchen, staring at a frying pan and with a bunch of eggs at the ready. An omelet. It can't really be that hard, right?]

[Sure, the girls all screwed it up, but that was because they were all genuinely terrible at cooking! No matter what he does, he can't do it that bad]

[Right?]

Okay, so... I crack the eggs first, right?

[Deep breaths]

Midday - Media Room

[And now that his mis-adventures in cooking are over, it's time for his usual pastime - wasting the day away in the media room! Today's choice?]

[Seems he's just kicking back and listening to some tunes. And whether it's nostalgia or something else, today's choice is certainly pop-ier than what he usually listens to. It's the upbeat catchy tunes of one Risette!]

[Approach?]

Late Afternoon - Music Room

Dammit!

[He swears after a very sharp and wrong-sounding note. Closer inspection would show that Yosuke has a guitar in hand and while it's not clear what exactly he's trying to play, he's certainly trying to play something! Judging from the look of frustration on his face, however, it doesn't seem to be going well]

Come on, I get to be on stage with Gas Chamber and now I can't play to save my life? I was never that good, but this just isn't fair!

[And yet despite his lement, there he goes again!]

[Good judgement never was his forte]

Alright, all done!

[THESE EGGS HAVE BEEN WHISKED TO AN EGGY DEATH! Or something like that. Look, he whisked them like a champ, and he puts the bowl back on the counter]

Looks like your end is looking pretty good, I think. Where do we go from here?

Yes, it is.

[ And he'll taking that bowl from the counter, examining it to make it's been properly whisked (which it has been, congrats dude) before tipping one edge of the bowl down and pouring it into a yellow waterfall of whisked eggs into the frying pan with a hiss as egg meet melted butter. He'll scrap any of the lingering eggs off the sides of the bowl with the spatula into the pan. ]

We pour the eggs into the frying pan to cook for a minute, and then we'll drain any leftover liquids from the frying pan. [ All business here, yep. ]

[ Or to be exact, Yosuke will be the one doing all that with instructions from the student council vice president since it's his omelet. Hidetoshi takes a steps back and offers him the rubber spatula once he's done pouring in the eggs. ]

[There's a brief moment of deer in headlights as Yosuke looks at the offered spatula - he's never spatula'd anything before in his life! But he's not getting a choice here, so he takes it and steels his confidence as he looks at the frying pan. If Rise can do it, he can do it too! And make it edible!]

So you mean like... a literal minute? Or os there some way to tell when it's cooked enough?

[ Hidetoshi almost smirks at the other dude's deer in the headlights impression, but he restrains himself politely. It'll be fine, it's not hard, he had shown himself capable of using common sense. He nods stiffly as he answers his question, keeping to the side and out of the way; ]

Generally, you're cooking until the bottom of the eggs begins setting, and that usually takes only a minute or two, so yes.

[Okay. Okay! HE CAN DO THIS! HE HAS THE ~~POWER~~ SPATULA! But man there has never been a longer minute in his life. Since when do minutes last this long?! It's shenanigans! Time shenanigans! But finally he notices the egg along the side of the pans getting solid-er and he takes it as a good sign]

Okay, so just.... flip when the entire outside is that kind of solid, right? No, wait, you said we have to drain it first! Okay.

[ YEP, DUDE, YOU HAVE THE ALMIGHTY ~~POWER~~ COOKING UTENSIL, GO FOR IT MAN. Deep breaths. Deep breaths. And he'll be standing to the side and offering brisk instruction, and kinda internally chuckling a bit in Yosuke's anxiety. ]

Yeah, to drain it, just go and lift one edge of the egg up with the spatula, and allow any leftover liquid egg to drain into the sink before repeating the process with all of the edges until there's no liquid egg left.

[ And once he's managed to (hopefully) pull this off, the Persona-user will be looking at a decently-sized yellow pancake of eggs in the frying pan. That's about the moment when he's supposed to flip it over onto the other side. ]

[Whether it's his intention or not, Hidetoshi's calm demeanor and confidence are sort of contagious. Even though his skills aren't as good as his best friend's 'little sister', Yosuke's starting to believe he can do this. He almost even feels like a natural as he drains the leftover egg liquid!]

[And now excuse him while he takes a moment to proudly stare at his half finished egg pancake. After all, it may not be perfect? But it's his, and it even looks edible! No one can take that away from him]

[... oh, right! He's supposed to be cooking! And with a sheepish laugh and more than a little difficulty, he manages to flip the omelet over to the other side]

Alright! Success! I knew I could do it!

[ It wasn't his intention, really, but Hidetoshi does experience a faint feeling of pride in aiding someone else in becoming better at something, anything by teaching them how to, really. It was a pleasant feeling. He smirks as the other male sheepishly laughs at himself for getting lost in his success for a quick moment, and with a small struggle, manages to flips the omelet over. ]

Excellent. [ Well, not excellent exactly, but it's edible and its not burned in the wrong places or the wrong color as it cooked. It's what he would deem passable, and the guy looks so proud of himself for cooking it, so Hidetoshi is nice about it. ]

[ And after a few seconds have passed, he remarks; ] Simply allow it to cook for a minute, and your omelet will be done.

[ Now, where did he leave the ingredients for the fillings... This was a productive method for burning time if nothing else, he'd give it that. ]
