Characters: Catarina and anyone willing to put up with a moody demon
Setting: Floor 38
Format: Action start
Summary: Catarina's consolation prize from being crushed by her ridiculous costume isn't something she really wants...
Warnings: Catarina being her usual threatening/sexual self
[The second lounge, surrounded by clouds. It was a little dizzying to Catarina, but she honestly hadn't been looking out of the window for a while. Instead, she was sitting on beanbag chair with a necklace dangling over one hand. It was gorgeous, gold with a beautiful intricate charm carved onto the end. But her dark eyes were almost angry as she looked at it, her jaw tight. She knew what this was. She saw it when she was a child, and was supposed to be handed down to her. Catarina dropped her hand next to her, disgusted, letting the chain slither to the floor]
I've beaten you. I lived.

But this was also the lounge with Reno's bar. This is what brought Enoch to the same floor Catarina rested on, and the glint of light off the moving chain caught his attention.
And, of course, he wasn't certain what to make of the lady who had attacked him, who had been so horribly mangled... Enoch realizes he's slowed down.*
...Their "consolation" never seems to be what they claim it is.
*His own prize...well, he liked his prize, but. It was painful, to think of Armaros.*

After a few seconds, it's clear he has no idea what to say. He'd expected an apology at best and agreement at least, not...something that made it seem as if they were still in costume.*

If I remember correctly, you were outwardly proclaiming that you were my enemy at the time.

I was dressed as an angel, and made into something resembling one. Angels do not act the way they forced me to act.
*That's a good start. Now, she looks human, at least, so Enoch assumes this is something like the way Naoya acts.*
What happened to disillusion you from God?

So much wrong with what you said. Not how angels act? Every last bastard I've met has been sanctimonious and exactly like you. As for turning from God... [She stood, sensual and fluid] It's hard when you've never faced that way to turn.

*Without immediate cause, he doesn't say, cutting himself off as she stands. Not what he expected.*
...You're a demon?

Are you trying to challenge me or seduce me?

You'll forgive me for, after being forced to kill, and in God's name, no less, being in no mood for either.
*He's not even a week out of the breakdown that followed the numb shock. Talk about a libido-killer.*
