Characters: Catarina and anyone willing to put up with a moody demon
Setting: Floor 38
Format: Action start
Summary: Catarina's consolation prize from being crushed by her ridiculous costume isn't something she really wants...
Warnings: Catarina being her usual threatening/sexual self
[The second lounge, surrounded by clouds. It was a little dizzying to Catarina, but she honestly hadn't been looking out of the window for a while. Instead, she was sitting on beanbag chair with a necklace dangling over one hand. It was gorgeous, gold with a beautiful intricate charm carved onto the end. But her dark eyes were almost angry as she looked at it, her jaw tight. She knew what this was. She saw it when she was a child, and was supposed to be handed down to her. Catarina dropped her hand next to her, disgusted, letting the chain slither to the floor]
I've beaten you. I lived.

[The last time Lancer had seen Catarina, she had been having trouble with her costume. He's glad to see that she's recovered as well as anyone else has.]
[He notices the shiny chain on the ground. Picking it up, he sniffs at it.]
Think you dropped this.

That? It's better in the garbage.

So she was curled up on one of the beanbags watching those coming through the room, she watched the girl with the necklace a couple of weeks ago she would have wanted to steal it and bury it. But now she just watched.] I do no be knowing if being brought here could be considered winning.

[Perhaps it wasn't her place to comment, but Juliet wasn't the best at holding her tongue, and she wanted to view the clouds and give herself a break from the sewing work she had been focusing on. The sooner it was done the sooner she could offer her services, but even she needed breaks. With one glance at the woman who spoke, she walked to the window, lightly touching it and gazing out.]

But this was also the lounge with Reno's bar. This is what brought Enoch to the same floor Catarina rested on, and the glint of light off the moving chain caught his attention.
And, of course, he wasn't certain what to make of the lady who had attacked him, who had been so horribly mangled... Enoch realizes he's slowed down.*
...Their "consolation" never seems to be what they claim it is.
*His own prize...well, he liked his prize, but. It was painful, to think of Armaros.*

After a few seconds, it's clear he has no idea what to say. He'd expected an apology at best and agreement at least, not...something that made it seem as if they were still in costume.*
